One of the easiest ways I've found out how to make a hot infusion is using an electric candle warmer and setting the jar directly on top. Also a very safe option if you're worried about having something on the stove for a long time if you have pets or small children around.
Just a heads up when choosing oil: please check the comedogenic scale of what you're using. If it's a 5 it's going to clog your pores. They also tend to be much more common than one thinks allergens. That includes things like coconut. You can use that sort if thing but you need to clean it off COMPLETELY. Do not leave on skin for an extended period. ✌🏾 Do a spot check for allergic reactions and remember that skin is your largest organ and deserves the care the rest of you gets. :)
This was such a cozy way to wake up. I watched this video while eating breakfast, with foggy weather ouside and lit candles, and it is just the best warm feeling I could get. This video got uploaded just in time as well, as I got a handful of freshly picked calendula flowers from my parents a couple days ago that are sitting in water right now, waiting for me to do something with them. Just need to look into what other herbs I want to use as I am a beginner and have only calendula and dried lavender at home. Going out to forage a bit today. :3 Thank you for an easy to follow video so I can maybe finally awaken my inner herbalist. (I am hoping in older days to have enough knowledge to be called "klok gumma" in swedish.)
I just get a wonderfully warm feeling watching your pleasantly calming videos. And, they are also so inspiring! I just pre-ordered your Herbal Magick book and look forward to reading it. I wish you well in peace, love, serenity, & joy in your work & life. 💖
I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now and I find that I have prior knowledge on most of what you talk about however I LOVE how you explain things and I always learn something from every one of your videos. Sometimes I even just find that passion again for something I used to do regularly but have put off for some time. Thank you for continuing to make content!! ❤
Lovely recipe, looks so useful too especially for all these sunburn days and bug bites going into early autumn, and a good gift idea too! Also very very excited for the book, so proud that our green witch is a published author now!
I am beyond excited about your book. I can't afford to commit to your patron, which I love that you have that support from others. But a book, I can save up for. And I have used so many of your recipes as a base for my own concoctions, with such great success, and have learned so much regarding infusions. Even if there is no new information in this book (which I doubt) having the information you have already shared is going to be so handy.
Just preordered! I have just came across your channel in the last 2 weeks. I enjoy your videos so much. Your an inspiration. Always be you and thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
🌲🍀🐾⚕🤔,burn salve, perfect to bring with me while wet wading through streams, and while out musky fishing from a boat all day (back of neck & arms get sun burned sometimes) thanks again, Dr. Annabel😉🏆💚🎣🐾🍀🌲. 🌲P.S. Can't wait to see you wearing one of you're witchy hats again (like a work of art, always - especially with that gorgeous hair). And not necessarily just on October 31st. Congratulations on your 🌿book again💚😎🌲.
Hey sweets.. Is there anything you can make for tattoos? I'm pretty tatted up and still going. I see you have a few as well so I was wondering if you have made anything for those? For maybe faster healing and or itchiness. Anyway just a thought and maybe idea 😊
hi there ! just wanted to share, i actually followed this recipe but instead used yarrow, rosemary and rose for the herbs and it worked wonders on my first tattoo ! reduced itchiness & healed nicely hope this helps 🫶🏼
Hi, It's Shobhit from India, I appreciate your effort, May I suggest that you should add Kapoor in your Salve, it will make it relaxing and particularly effective against bee and wasp stings
I am SO excited to finally see this book happen. Now, I need to be patient to get my grubby little fingers on it. I just pre-ordered my copy!!! Yay! I just love your videos. They just make me feel cozy! And for the record, I have attempted to create many of the items I've seen on your channel, and even if I messed them up, I always thoroughly enjoy making them. Have an amazing day. I'm done gushing!😊
Hi Annie thank you for a wonderful recipe, I always burn myself when baking, I will definitely be making this, your book comes out in November here in England, just in time for Christmas, thank you again , I send blessings from our cottage in the woods 😊
Just an idea but have you considered using Bag Balm beforehand? I find it creates a bit of a barrier as a preventive, myself. Burns still happen but it helps.
Love your videos. You are so knowledgeable about so much and I’ve learned loads. I’ve got the salve stuff. Looking forward to different herbal remedies. 🤞🏼✌🏼
I am 100% doing this one! I learned how ti do salves with you and its been a while since I have made one. So, I see how much oil and beeswax to use, but how much of each herb do you use? I keep rewinding the video to see if I missed it, but I don't seem to find it. Thanks!
hi! i love this salve video. i made it right after watching. i was wondering if you have any salves for muscle pain or bone pain? i got an ache-y neck and knee in the same day 😣
What can be best substituted for dried dandelions? I won't see any for months where I am and I just looked up the price to order and nope not doing that 😂 I'm going to see if the local store that carries dried herbs has any, but I want a back up plan if they don't.
I've heard of doing a long fusion by putting it in the sun on your window. That way it has the time to do the long fusion but with added heat. Why would you not want to do that if you don't mind me asking?

this is also great for dorm living
Making salves is just one of the coziest herbalism practices. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Anabelle! Im really excited for your book!
Also, I'm not sure if you already said, but how much do we need of each herb?
Very nice.
Holy cow! Your hair has gotten so long that I thought this was an old video!
I am 100% doing this one! I learned how ti do salves with you and its been a while since I have made one.
So, I see how much oil and beeswax to use, but how much of each herb do you use? I keep rewinding the video to see if I missed it, but I don't seem to find it.
Thanks!
Do you happen to have a solution for rosacea? I'd be most grateful for a recipe that would make my life easier😔

Will this work for sunburns? I brn like a shrimp on a grill in the summer.
What EO do you recommend that would be good in this salve, I'm new to this stuff so HELP?
Does anyone else have every batch of fresh herbs + oil go rancid in a day or two? Any tips? Blessings 🍁🌼🌽🍇🌻
So how can someone say they “ create” if they don’t actually make the product? Thanks
