Using Pavlov VR to Pass US Army Sniper School

  • Pavlov VR is my favorite VR shooter. But understand, I could have used any virtual reality shooter game for US Army sniper training. Taking sniper tests is something that is just perfect for the medium of VR. VR lets you feel like you are really testing your marksmanship skills, which unfortunately for me, I do not have. I had a lot of fun sniping in VR though, so I needed an excuse to show that off, and here we are. Thank you so much for reading this description, it makes me feel like they are worth typing. If you came here looking for links, "as always they are in the description down below." -Phillip Defranco

I can say yes, as a designated marksman in my service, a m4 or 16a2 with a working acog, I was grouping about three inches at 300 m, when we received our new rifles, x95, the grouping increased to 4, 4.5 ish inch. The longer the barrel, the higher the velocity, the longer reach you have. Well timed, and shot placement is key, what I don't understand, is that I hit a person in VR with a 338 Lapua, and they don't die, but they shoot sporadically with all and head shot me or one shot my body every time, even with helmet and gear. A 5.7 mm round with the correct ammo eats lvl 3 a amour, but the game I think doesn't include those mechanics for "balancing" reasons.

The first thing for marksmanship is the 4 fundamentals: breathing, sight picture, body position, and trigger squeeze. Your breathing is vertically breaking up your grouping, while your squeeze is horizontally breaking it. Hold at the bottom or top of your breath, and slowly squeeze until the rifle decides to fire and you will have a much better group. Love, and old vet who loves VR.

Thank you so much for all your hard work and I hope the algorithm continues to make your channel soar.

If you really want to take the asvab, they have an option to opt out of sharing your info with the military. It's pretty cool and the results are super comprehensive, gives you everything you'd want to know as far as career potential goes.
