Dying Light: The Following is a massive expansion to Dying Light and the untold chapter of Kyle Crane’s story. Such a sad ending. He turned into The Night Hunter, but first he was a Volatile.
Well technically he's a volatile, it says in the subtitles at the end
I can see why you thought he was a night Hunter but nope
I guess TechLand did that purposely as they were wrapping up the game
+Tears Galaxy Dude, the Night Hunter is a evolved descendant from the volatiles, so the scream may be from any of them. He defends volatile nests in Be the zombie cause it is his species.
@@dall_scortez3887 I mean. Kyle was a special case of infection. Just like Mother. He drunk the vial. Gave him God knows what that allows him to have conciousness during the day. But his instincts take over in the night. Because Kyle is a volatile, these types are easily mutatable. And the reason I think hes the night hunter is because of his natural talent of parkour. In the first game, he said he hadnt experienced parkour but he was good at it (speaking canonically). So it could be possible that the virus took that trait of his and morphed him into what he was before.

But anyways, since we're here, I will go and state that my previous comment was pure utter speculation, I just forgot to make that clear. I just thought the hunter and the volatiles were related on a genetic level, because both are the only zombies who (1) only come at night, (2) have UV light as weakness and (3) the hunter's main goal is to defend volatile nests (like a mother protecting its young). Again, pure utter speculation. Happy now?
@James Howlett At least @Charon, the Boat Guy has some sense, unlike you. He's speculative, however, decisive. Maybe, instead of hating on people, you can learn from them and better yourself. It wouldn't hurt to learn something for once. Just saying 🤷

maybe, this was a dream to him. Maybe he hit his head or something. Or maybe the "cure" was actually a drug, that made him trip out. That'd make me happier than what I finished the game with.

I just really want more DLC, because I've finished everything there is, on the normal Dying Light, and on The Following I've done mostly everything except for a few Missing Person missions and some Bilal Races. Steam even says I've played for 118 hours...
he doesn't die either way. In one ending he becomes that creature. In the other he nukes the town in which he dies as well.

Why? You had to know it was coming he started becoming a zombie in the intro of the first game and if they made a cure happen they could never sell a sequel. So he had to die off or turn.

My theory is that, he went over the walls, in "be the zombie" if you look over the walls there are still active lights and cars moving around signaling that there are people alive over the walls living their normal lives. So maybe this is what she meant by "you'll kill them all"
And so thats what kyle did, restarting the whole outbreak over again. Thus leaving us with dying light 2

i love the ending where Crane turns into the creature you fight at the end and I hope in Dying Light 2 you play as a new character and you find mutated Crane and have to kill him before he kills anyone that's hunting him for the samples the queen stole.

Crane mutated into the night hunter fyi. And to fight something thats even smarter than you at surviving and better at killing is just impossible. Crane uses his knowledge of his life to fight like he did before he turned. Thats why he uses grapples to move to buildings and ambushes people. The new GRE operative needs to be DOOM Guy or some shit in order to even injure Kyle.

Dying Light 2 just released and for one reason or another I just never got around to playing the Following. Really wanted to get it done before DL2 but no dice. Watching this is the next best thing though and I feel ready now to jump into the sequel. Thanks for making this!

Lena is at most the least important side character that only memorable moment is the smoking and medicine stuff.
Wish that Jade is still alive and unconscious, needs constant antizin or some shjt, forcing Crane to go get help.

As you surely noticed with DL2 you have a complete new character BUT ... imagine (it is possible) that you see Kyle Crane again as a "Nighthunter" in DL2! ... in some kind of "Sidequest" Boss or secret boss!
In fact: DL2 plays 15 Years after Harran! ...So it IS possible!

During the day the mother had control so maybe crane does too , explains how the infection got out tho. Crane probably destroyed the whole other safe zone
Came back and rewatch dying light and the DLC before the release of dying 2 stay human still a great game hopefully 2 doesn't screw that up
