Yay, thank you! I have been SO busy with the spring season I haven't had a lot of time to sit and play with inks, but starting next week I'm hoping to make some ink progress!
The third - pink - ink is called VRONI!😂😂😂 Thank you for your great ink reviews! It's always great fun to watch it. But this one made me smile. Sorry! No offence meant!
Yay, so glad you got to experiment with the inks. Sorry the pooled areas took so long to dry. I guess for my purposes I only sketch with them so they dry really quick if just doing regular drawing/writing. Thank you for doing another great ink exploration!
some nice colors there - this morning I bought a couple of Rohrer and Kinger inks from their Fountain Pen range - I got Salix (a dusky blue which may be a bit similar to Frieda) & Alt-Goldgrun (a green that looks similar to this Emma one).
I have the whole collection and they are also great for mixing (I have a video up if you want explore this). I personally love Emma and Frieda the most for journal writing, but I also love Jule and Frieda mixed together for a lovely purple :) I only use them in my low-end Platinum pens (Preppy and Meteors) as the pigment likes to settle in the feed and dry out, so the 'slip-n-seal' tech in these pens keep it wetter for longer. Let me know if you are interested an ink swap, I would be happy to send over Lottie for you to try 💜
yes, i love your mixing vids for these! i watched them a lot before i bought these inks. then i referenced your vids again once i got them to try out your mixing recipes :)
@jannahlyon I am going to check out your video!! I bet some lovely colors could be made with these. I would be happy to do an ink swap :) I have a fountain pen companion page if you want to take a look and let me know what you want to trade. You can email me if it is easier too - info.thedandeliondiaries(at)gmail.com
I have a bottle of Lilly. Seeing all your swatches, I still like it the best! I haven't used it in a while because I mostly use De Atramentis document inks these days. Thanks for reminding me to take it out again. And thanks for another enjoyable video.
Great video, but as mentioned below it’s Vroni with an N. That’s short for Veronika in German (Véronique in French, but they won’t go with that shorthand)
There is a typo on the hot pink - it is Vroni which is a short version of Veronika, mostly used in southern Germany… I love the swatches, haven’t tried them yet. But here in Germany they are easy to get a hold off…
Jannah Lyon did a video mixing these. A lot of artists seem to do that. I have a lot of them myself and only recently started using them again in my preppys.
I have Lotte, it’s a lovely ink but it dries on my twsbi eco and clogs it, don’t have that issue with platinum carbon black at all. This video has tempted me to get either Lilly, Thea or one of the blues.
I have not tried them in a fountain pen yet, but I know with my other pigment inks I make sure to clean the pen before/after every re-inking. I love the range of colors there are for this line though, very nice to see!
Such beautiful inks! I loved that you swatched these for us! I want to get waterproof inks in my collection. My favorite is the Vroui. I love pink and purple inks. But I also love the Klara. Can you let me know where I can buy these? I would love to try these out. If you have an affiliate code let me know because I would love to help you out too! Thanks for a great video!❤️
I found the full collection on JetPens.com but depending on where you are located there may be a better place to get them. :) I don't have a code for them, but they have free shipping over $35!
Ahh the video I have been waiting for! Starting to think I got a bad bottle of Lotte, it just spills out of every pen and you don't seen to have that issue nor can I find anything online about it, so weird 🤔
Oh no :( Maybe contact the retailer you got it from? They may be able to help you out. I think the bottles are pretty affordable for the the ink volume/quality if you wanted to get a new bottle to test it out.
OOOOHH! These are good. I am not normally a blue fan but Frieda is a dusty/muddy blue which I like. Lily, Emma and Jule are my favorites. However Thea is a beautiful grey. The dry time is insane. Did the writing part take a long time to dry too? The Jule looks more red/pinkish in the video. So wondering if it looks different in person... hmmm
Glad you like them! The Jule is a bit more brown in person than on camera, but it does have the red/pink look to it. The writing did not take long to dry, just the swatches (I think I put down too much ink). Overall, really great colors for waterproof ink!
YAY more inks! 😁 I love the green twins of course, also Thea & Lilly.
Great to see you back with inkexplorations, I do love watching 💚💜

Thanks for watching! The label on the sample had a typo 😊 No biggie!! I have made a note so I have the right name 😂

No worries!! I figured i just put too much ink on the page, the writing dried quickly :) I'm excited to mix them now that I saw Jannah's video!

Very nice! I have the alt-goldgrun and love the shading in it. I haven't tried the Salix, but the Frieda color is a nice dusty dark blue.

Thanks for sharing!! Lilly is gorgeous :)
Jule & Emma 😍😍😍😍

Thank you for sharing!! Using them in a preppy is a great idea, I may try that first just in case I have residual issues :)
I would be interested in seeing how Lily does in a fountain pen.
I am hoping to put it into a platinum preppy to see how it does, but I have quite a few pens inked up at the moment haha

@mydandeliondiaries yea I was thinking that, but honestly..I love Jule so much I don't even care I don't have a permanent black haha

I would describe lilly as an Earth Green and Klara is definitely a Viridian green.
Yes!! I agree with your color description :)
