I just got in my djm s11 and 2 reloop 8000 mk 2 and haven't scratched seriously on serious equipment since scratch la in 05. About a week in with these videos shortee n it's like I'm back in class with you! Scratches getting to a point where my wife told me she wants to learn.. along with my 5 n 2 year olds! Scratch fam coming in hot this summer!!

This might be the best scratch practice routine I’ve found! Very clear. I’ve struggled for years with scratching, probably the DJ skill I want to work on the most, and I’d say I’m twice as good at it as I was a week ago already. Spinning on a DDJ-FLX6, which I used to blame for not being good at scratching. 🤣 Truth is, it’s about how you train your hands/ears, and not the gear. Thank you!

This is probably the most user friendly tutuorial i found on the internet and I will follow/practise this to the later. Please quick question, I have rane 4(not motorized). Can i start out practising with that or get the 12s as i want a device i can grow into.
So glad you dig the practice sesh! You can most def start practicing on non-motorized jog wheels! You don't need motorized platted to practice or learn to scratch in general, from my tutorials or anyone else's. Hope that helps and best of luck with your scratching!

Hi! I got a problem, maybe someone can help? my crossfader cuts off the sound (my line) completely off when i turn it to the right side...so i cant scratch to the tutorials cause the beat is gone :/ Maybe someone has had the same problem?

Exact same setup as me! The S11 is the Lamborghini of mixers and combined the the 8000s, a crazy amount of creativity with all the features at hand ✊
