I am in the early phase of working on my scratch game and what I have found helpful is to practice using the crossfader alone and cut in timing with a song. Start slow with 1, 2, 3, 4 and then progress to off beats 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and.
Damn bro, It’s good to see you continuing to share your tips with passion. I rarely have time to watch now because of works load. Always appreciate your passion!!
Something to note that I've learned from recent experience is when learning try and use the same hardware and more importantly control type as much as possible eg. Vinyl vs DVS vs controller. although it's great to have diversity and be able to use any hardware, when learning you are building these muscle memories and associations with the audio more than the movement itself. like learning how a good and bad 2 click flair sounds can be a couple of milliseconds apart. you can adjust later to other hardware but the biggest thing is control type. I was using the same hardware but vinyl for everything I could get my hands on and then DVS for content I couldn't buy/get access to and I found moving between the two systems which at the very minimum has a 17ms delay with the perfect settings and hardware. it's not a lot but when learning and going between the different feeling you will stunt your learning speed (this is the case with learning most things in the beginning, consistency wins over all which allows for adaptability later). I recently just ripped all my vinyl to digital and use ONLY DVS control. that way I have the same constant control day in and day out. I've noticed a massive improvement.
At this moment, I can’t think of which one is the default setting but I never have changed that setting - so it’s on whatever serato start with as a default
😐😒 until this video my cuts were garbage lol he LITERALLY made the sound I do all the time at 122 and I felt like shit…. 😂 time TO PAY ATTENTION AND Join that scratch course!
Hello I want to as...how exactly can I record my scratches and use that on rap hooks? I mean how can I record only the scratch and not the beat ...where can I playback the beat and just rec my scratch-cuts
Yo! What I’ve done in the past is record the scratches with serato with the music extremely low. Then when you add it to your track, you won’t hear the duplicate of the track because it’s so slow. Definitely need headphones
@@DJLiftOFF I use traktor pro and z2 mixer...also I have reaper and cubase as daw...and I got seinhaeiser headphones...I ll try your tip and I would come back

💯💯💯 definitely agree! Once I got really confortable with scratching, it became easy to jump around but in the beginning, I couldn’t agree more!
Great work like always.
Appreciate you bro! 🙏🏾

This was really helpful…thank you very much 🙏🏾
You’re welcome 🙏🏾
Show us how to drop the chirp scratch on top beat not just stopping the scratch.
How do i teach my fader hand not to be stupid and actually move and not look slow or dumb?
Practice
Practice starting really slowly and really perfecting the chirp scratch. That’s always a good starting point for crossfader help
How many hours of practice? As i am very good at djing and remixing etc. But i totally suck at scratching...
dude is the best at teaching how to scratch my skills improve so much every time
Much appreciated for the support bro 🙏🏾

Hey bro on your serato settings on mixer are you using crossfader curve on linear or power
At this moment, I can’t think of which one is the default setting but I never have changed that setting - so it’s on whatever serato start with as a default
Youre amazing!
Chirp to early, thats me right now 🙈
Yessir! Super common. I even catch myself doing it from time to time now. You’ll work out of it for sure 💯
Are you using vinyls? Or what do you use?
Watching One more Time, I guess been a while since we last Took a Flight, Cant wait for the Next One bro. #DJLiftOff #DJLifOffFam
Let’s get it bro!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾💪🏾
From what i can see the stab and chirp scratch can make the same sound. Am I correct?
Yes, they make the same exact sound. A chirp technically sounds like two stabs whereas a stab is just one stab sound. But in general, yes.
Are you available for a consultation?
Thank you so much bro ❤
More than welcome bro! 🙏🏾
I wanna hear LiftOFF beats in these examples👀🔥🔥🔥
