Good productive day on the Focus
Mark. It’s good information about the water ingress under the bumper. Should be a factory recall.
That water ingress fault really should be a reason for a Ford factory recall. Thanks for showing it and doing so in detail. I was naive, unaware of it, till now. & I know a friend here hadn't heard of it either. Ace video, as usual. Shane. (aka Ian G.) 🙂
Thanks Ian just showing what im doing hopefully some people can lean some thing 👍👍
It’s not a safety issue, in the US it would be a class action suit like the durasniff auto’s or Nissans Jatco Cvt’s
@@Mrflash222006 Hi buddy well said 👏🏻👍👍
Fantastic job today Mark glad the dash is now working good and also the de humidifier is doing its job take care matey can’t wait for the next one 😀👍🇬🇧🚗
Thanks Mark appreciate you lending me the machine working really well nice one buddy 👍👍
@@ResurwreckAutosUK you’re very welcome anytime matey 😀👍🇬🇧
I can't wait to see this finished, I used to have one in the same colour they're so nice 🔥
So far you've been on the button with the focus if everything OK under front bumper should be a good one. 👍👍
Thanks Edward appreciate it buddy hopefully the rest will go well 👍👍
Hi Mark, I'm sure you won't cut any corners fixing this water ingress problem and it will be all sealed up in the end. I have also a water ingress problem with my Mk1 Ford Sportka. For some reason water is getting into the back tailgate door. When you open the door up after heavy rain, water will run out of the door catch as your lifting it open. I have removed the wing on top and sealed all the fixing points. I've sealed around all the glass, door handle and rear wiper grommet. But rain water still gets in. I must have more mastic in and around that door than I have around our bath. I'm sure you will have better luck than me
Result great progress on the focus so far top job thanks for sharing 👍👍
Spot on Mark . Gonna make a nice motor this one.
Good content mark enjoyed that
Great video and and the water is disappearing fast now! Looking forward to seeing the next video and seeing what's next to come
Thanks David appreciate it buddy 👍👍
You will soon be at 5,400 subscribers and well done for all your continued hard work on the cars
Hi mark well done for all your hard work on the Focus today and hope it sells quickly for you and that you make a good profit
Hey Mr Mark, those leaky rear vents are identical problem to the VW Golf Mk7 !!! Same bad design! Same water leak! Same rubber bung! Fixed by sealing vent with silicone bathroom sealant!
Easy seller Mark once done..👍
The mileage is in the cluster either encrypted in eeprom or flash as well as the ECU and other modules - I have done a few mileage corrections and custom programming - some cars have the dash coded to the ECU, it requires the mileage to be correct in all modules
I am glad it worked
good days work mate
I’d be tempted to seal the vents and then put the bungs back in to stop the water entering through the holes from the road
Abit of silicone around the vents works wonders buddy
Thanks Colin yeah I will buddy 👍👍
Half way through before u stop waffling
🤣🤣you call it waffling I call it explaining what I’m doing to help people out
Any news on the blue car Il bet you will be glad to see it go
Hi Stephen no news yet 👍👍
When are you going to finish the Polo? Great job on the Focus 👍👍
Hi buddy polo GTI video tomorrow 👍👍
If you jack up the front any remaining water should drain out
Why did you change the led screen? If you bought the new clocks?
Could have just changed the whole clock unit over or iam I missing something👍
Because the mileage could be stored on the dash chip and the new clocks were from a petrol not a diesel.
Hi buddy yeah you are missing the fact the cocks are different on the next video I’ll explain 👍👍
@Resurwreck Salvage UK cheers. Thanks for explaining that. Iam just dum maybe.🤣🤣Look forward to next video
@@waynesworld6020 buddy you are not dumb I should have explained it better I will in the next video 👍👍
@alfa156man mileage is stored on the ecu chip not on the clocks.
Thats a bad design, for that amount of water ingress.
Hi Lee yeah definitely bad design 👍👍
Dare I say ,,, there are various UA-cam videos on this well known issue.
Yeah definitely buddy 👍👍
It should work
There are a lot of armchair experts here ☺️
🤣🤣very true
Have you been able to bid and win then more cars yet then
Hi Ben not yet
Why did you not just put the whole replacement speedo unit in unstead of dismantling it to rebuild the other unit
Why do you think 🤔
Come on you will get it come on
Anyone with that model Focus I presume has the same issue?
Hi Mark , why do you make work for yourself , the mileage does not get saved to the clocks so instead of stripping it down to get the screen out why not just fit the whole thing save you some time ??????? , only 9 mins into the video at the moment , why on earth didn't Ford move that bung to the lowest part crazy for a main dealer like them
Hi Michael have a guess why let’s see if you can work it out
@@ResurwreckAutosUK Ford , Fix Or Repair Daily , Rust , rot buy new car lol like they have been from the begining
check wheel arch in boot. hit it with a sort rubber hammer next to shocks if water leaks out needs re-sealing round top corners as it is only glued together. NO WELDING ON IT only sealed with paint. 👎👎
