- After working the details out, how to use Tune ECU on windows 10 ''without luck''. Decided to make a video so we have a reference. First part is the software and second part about connecting it to the bike.

Hi, you need to install the correct drivers as mentioned in the video and a OBD2 cable - 16 pins to connect to ECU. The OBS2 need to have a FTDI FT232RL Chip.
No idea this works on a Daytona. Never owned this bike. Check the website of Tune ECU for more information. Will be there
Important point, the diagnostic cable should be with FTDI FT232RL chip. to check this you need to open the connector and look at the chip itself, if it is CH340 there is a high probability that it will not work with Triumph.

@@simDIY1981 If someone wants to buy a cheap Auto Scanner VAG KKL 409.1, not the original Triumph, you should pay attention to the chip. This is an advice to potential users :). This Auto Scanner VAG KKL 409.1 comes in two versions on chips CH340 and FTDI FT232RL. chip CH340 for cars is suitable, but for Triumph you need FTDI FT232RL. This is just a tip for those who come here to watch this video and want to do something with their own hands for their motorcycle.
@@simDIY1981 Do you have a link or an exact name for the cable, I have one thats identical, even picked it apart to check for that FT232RL chip, which I found. But still wont work.
@@lofej Had connecting problems yesterday. All software and hardware being ok. The Tune ECU is very unpredictable and since Windows 10 a mess. Sometimes I get the idea that windows updates can lag the program as well. Keep trying.
@@simDIY1981 doesnt sound too good if I want to do a remapping :D I really dont want to brick my bike.
With the newer android version you need an account and pay 25 euro’s every year.. do you also need this on te windows version? Look like u connected to the bike without it asking for your account Or any payment at all?
With the windows (old) way you don’t need a subscription and it’s free of charge.

The ECU software is especially for this model. Verify at Tune ECU website if your model is developed or not. However, hardware and installing plus basic principles apply.

No, that’s via android (phone) and payed subscription. This is the old system with windows 10 and OBD2 cable
Will the Tune ECU work on Windows 11?
No. only way is to use windows 10 or earlier OS or go via android and buy yearly subscription.

Wtf is a tune ecu?
A Electronic Control Unit is a computer with all the data your vehicle needs. TuneECU is freeware used to tune/adapt data. Like fuelmaps, errors and diagnostics.
