Thanks for all the good info on NOLA.I have a good friend who lives there. She did say that after Katrina the city changed to a lot of the poorer people moving out and wealthier people moving in. I hope to visit her next year.
Hurricane season is June 1 through November 30, not August through November. And the number one thing you need to know when visiting New Orleans is that the answer is: "on your feet".
Remember it's a 300+ year-old city with the FQ being the oldest section. The street car is the oldest running one in the world. Give Lyft a chance! Typically cheaper than Uber. Oh and there is more to New Orleans than Bourbon St. (overrated)
Booze and drugs often lead to arguments and followed up with violence, thus shootings, knifing, fighting, thus, dangerous at night in the Quarter and elsewhere in New Orleans. However, high crime was always present in New Orleans especially robberies and murders, there are places you do not go unless you live there.
Be sure to not pronounce it New Or Leeens….or it will be very obvious you are a tourist. Visit the French Quarter but don’t stay there. Bourbon St is horrible. The best parts of this great town are outside the French Quarter
Good effort but your information is flawed. You need to study more before putting out this sort of content. You can start by learning the correct pronunciation New Orleans.
Seriously, I'm traveling vicariously through Jeff and since I'm poor, I thank him and want him to be super popular.
Very helpful, great video thank you!
