    I want to note one more thing, you really don't need to replace the filters every 4 months. I haven't replaced the filter in 2 years and it still filtered great, albeit not as well as it could I would recommend replacing it every year.

    I just got 1 of these and it really does make a difference. I only wish I had gotten the HSP002 instead.

      @@binhvandu3175 The HSP002 is for a larger space. The HSP001 works fine but I think the 002 would be better for the space I have. Also, I have 2 large dogs who shed a lot and the 002 has a filter that can be cleaned. The 001 doesn't and the fur collects on the filter fairly quickly. I found a workaround though by gently lifting the fur from the filter with masking tape.

    I just burned a tortilla and it created a little smoke. My smoke alarm went off but the new Hathaway purifier that was nearby didn’t change air quality from green (clean air) to even yellow. Which was concerning. I’m
    Not sure about this working. I moved it with it still plugged in… I moved it into the hallway where some of the smoke went into and where the smoke detector is and it still didn’t change the air quality :-( I’m
    not so sure about this one and if it’s working

    Great review and thank you for sharing. My Sanyo AP I purchased almost 10, years ago recently kicked the bucket. It had a water mist (I don’t know the correct description name) and from my non smoker living with a in the house cigarette smoker point of view, it really killed that yucky smell. I’m looking for a new unit but Sanyo is no more and there seems to be as much if not more AP brand names/models as major appliances. Do you have any recommendations on AP that are tested and true to really take that cigarette smell out? I understand charcoal filter etc, but looking for a cut to the chase answer with 5 or less models. Thank you again for sharing and making this review!

      Hmm, let's say any air purifier that has enough carbon could fight smoke. Some of the devices to consider are Austin Air (probably the best one), Winix 5500-2 (cheap, washable carbon filter), Alen FLEX with a Heavy Carbon Filter (medium-priced, reliable).

    You did mention that they stated it clears out a 700 ft² room 2 times per hour on your website when I read your review. That's not what they said on Amazon or on their website. They said it cleans 700 ft² 1 time per hour..
    Here's what they said to me exactly below..
    So I don't know how they're doing their testing versus yours?
    -----------------------
    Our HSP001 purifier can replace the air 1x per hour in a 700 sq ft room (8 ft ceiling height) or 5600 cu ft room and 2x per hour in a 350 sq ft room (8 ft ceiling height) or 2800 cu ft room.
    Let us know if you have any other questions.
    In harmony,
    Liza - Hathaspace

    I have had this device for a month now and I am pretty certain that my 70 year old home needed this but when I check the filters they look totally clean. Almost unused. Why would this look like this? Could it be that my environment has great air quality even in a 70 year old house with 2 cats?

    • @AirPurifierFirst
      @AirPurifierFirst  2 роки тому

      Usually, people with pets notice dirtier pre-filters more often (full of pet hair). I guess that's not accidentally.
      How do you feel when using this air purifier? Do you feel like the air surrounding you is cleaner or not?

      @@AirPurifierFirst I really don't notice a difference and the air purifier seems to be in great working condition. I love the style and everything about it. I had just moved into a newly renovated home that is 70 years old and expected it to have a lot of air quality issues due to the age and all the work done on the house but perhaps it is much cleaner than I thought and perhaps im doing a good job dusting and vacuuming?

    Also no one ever talks about the ionizer or UV A light?
    I know it's supposedly well under the ozone specs and stuff like that.
    How well does it work on or off.
    And when you did your tests did you do it with the UVA LIGHT ON OR OFF?

    • @AirPurifierFirst
      @AirPurifierFirst  3 роки тому

      This model doesn't have a UV light. Instead, it has an Ionizer as the fifth stage of filtration.
      The ionizer helps improve the air a bit but nothing significant, so I haven't used it in the presented tests.

      Cool well at least we know what it does without it..
      I wonder if it was used would it help with the square footage?
      Also it's weird you said they don't use a UV light.
      Because in the questions and answers on Amazon someone asked how often do you replace the UV light. They said u replace every three years if you use it. And told them you contact us and we can get a replacement for you..
      😂

    Hello, opening windows or ventilation 24/7 is not enough yes? I mean you really need to have air purifier. What do you guys think?

    • @AirPurifierFirst
      @AirPurifierFirst  3 роки тому +3

      In some cases, that would not be enough, and in other cases, you would not be suggested to leave the window open because of the low temperature outside.
      Anyway, what if you open the window on pollen season? Also, what about pet fur, odors, and weighty dust particles? Or, what if you open a window in a wildfire season?
      I think the air purifier is the best answer to these questions. Do you agree?

    ANON feature??
    What’s it actually do?

    • @AirPurifierFirst
      @AirPurifierFirst  3 місяці тому +1

      It's actually an ionizer that releases negative ions into the air. These ions then attach to the positively charged particles in the air, causing them to fall down.
      To simplify, this feature causes airborne dust and other particles to fall down on floors, carpets, furniture, and other surfaces.

      Why do you keep saying that It does up to 700 ft², it says it in the literature, on Amazon, and on the website they say 200 ft to 700 ft²
      So you're basically saying they're lying?
      Nowhere does it say only 350 ft²
      It says it clears 700 ft² in 1 hour
      Even in the questions and answers on Amazon the manufacturer specifically told the people it will purify a room up to 700 square feet.. every time someone ask the question how many square feet it will purify..

    • @mastershake0505
      @mastershake0505 3 роки тому

      @@muzikmon2267 they aren't saying it wont do 700 ft² they are saying they don't recommend it for more than 350 ft² because the results aren't significant enough for them to recommend it. IE the results from the194 ft² test was a 94% improvement and 350 ft² was 91%. Spaces larger than 350 ft² will only improve 90% or less which is why its not recommended. So if you buy this fan for a 700 ft² it wont improve the air quality significantly compared to larger purifiers. its recommend to get a bigger purifier made for larger square footage that can produce improvements about 90% for that space. He's not saying they are lying but if you have a lot of allergies and need that 94% improvement in a 700 ft² you wont get it
