LegendOfLegends19100 Maul wasnt a sith lord at that time he was still learning and yeah he killed quai gon jin who was a very strong jedi master and also defeated obi wan who was at jedi knight level easily and Maul lost because he was cocky same as Anakin :p

True, I am a Star Wars fan and I've watched all of the movies. The fight scenes in the sequels are just like kids swinging their baseball bats. But Kylo Ren carried the sequel for me.

Because Kylo isn't strong with the force he was brought up as a son of Han Solo and they had no traces of force in their family so he had to train. The reason Anakin was so strong with the force is because he was the chosen one.

What's with the boo's against Qui Gon Jinn? Liam Neeson is brilliant and he, Ewan McGregor and Ian McDirmid were the only actors who did a good job in The Phantom Menace.

+Tijl Van der Meulen Hell, I saw Episode 1 again yesterday, and I must say, fucking Jar Jar Binks is one of the best child-friendly characters in film. Does he match the tone of the original trilogy? Hell no. But the prequels are a different tone/feel. Episode 2 and 3 are fantastic movies.

Darth Maul needs his own franchise movies
He already has about four or five story arcs in "The Clone Wars" and "Rebels." His stories probably covered the screen time of three feature length films.
With Ray Park on screen and Sam Witwer as the voice. That series would rule.

Thousand Times Yes. It gave the unity of systems meaning, and it showed us a rich world full of Jedi, in contrast to the world of 'A New Hope.' This is what G. Lucas had ahead of him for the prequels...he did his best, considering the volume of material and size of armies required for the entire spectacle.

Even after seeing and enjoying the movie, I was still not sold on the crossguard lightsaber. Seeing Ray own it live eliminated all doubts in my mind about the weapon.

Oh, no doubt, but the composition of the weapon just didn't lend much to my suspension of disbelief. Seeing the kinds of moves that ARE possible, however, put my mind at ease. That's what I mean to say.
swords since medieval times have had the hand guards. it's so your opponents sword can't slide down yours and slice your hand open. it gets blocked they have had "tri-saber" type swords for thousands for years I'm pretty sure they're on to soemthing there. Even in fencing there is a shell/bowl over the handle to again stop your opponent from damaging your hand.
Aarron Smith They're not actually crossguards, which I should probably stop calling it the "crossguard saber" myself. Supposedly a lightsaber would just go right through the vented beams. Plus, you could easily chop off those vents if the blade DID slide down, since they're kinda sticking out from the hilt itself.
+The Satellite I'm not a super star wars nerd but there are metals and materials in the star wars world that can stop a light saber and cant be cut by it, one I know off the top of my head is mandalorian iron (excuse the spelling) So it is very possible all sabers or may just the tri-saber are made of such materials it work make sense right otherwize how would the emitter be able to withstand what it emits (the blade of the saber) with out melting? Have you ever seen a light saber damaged or chopped in half in any of the movies?

Most of them are just dissatisfied with their lifes big kids who need something to hate if they don't really love Star Wars but lie to themselves saying that they extremely love Empire Strikes Back but extremely hate Phantom Menace.

The Force Awakens duel was a failure on so many levels. First of all Finn is the first non force sensitive character in the series to perform in a duel onscreen which is a big no no for me as its a Jedi weapon. But even that small exchange between him and Ren was better than seeing Rey run away from Ren through a forest for 2 minutes until she somehow bests him despite the fact he can stop a laser in mid air but cant like force push her away from him or something. Stupid ass fight.

I thought young anakin and jake lloyd who played him was cool. The pod racing was one of the high lights of the film. Its embarrasing as a star wars fan for other fans to boo in front of one of the actors of the movie.

well he still is, we haven't really seen him get killed yet so as far as we know he's still alive when the force awakens happens though he'll be old. So if he is alive, he's one of or the most powerful lightsaber user in the galaxy since everyone is dead he was trained as a sith.

They shouldn't have killed off his character so soon. It could have been a cool part of the plot leading to Anakin's turn. Imagine Obiwan's encounter ending in a stalemate. (Or maul simply coming back) Then imagine Maul in place of dooku for the whole sequel including the yoda sequence and all; making Maul all the more ominous. It would also rationalize Anakin's behavior in the fight feeling the urge to avenge the man who took him from his life of slavery. This would make it so much more impressive for when Anakin kills him in revenge in the third film. oh well lol

Lucas wouldn't have been able to make that trash-ass Ep 1 if Ep 4 wasn't made. None of the saber battles in Ep 1 could save it from being the most embarrassing thing with Star Wars written on it.

Honestly, without the prequels the SW fanbase probably wouldn't be half as big as it is today. The only reason us 90s kids bothered watching the original trilogy was because we wanted to see what happened to Anakin. Frankly, the OT never appealed to me UNTIL the prequels sold me the star wars lore. That's how it is to alot of us 90s kids (the honest ones at least). So you gotta respect the prequels for that. Why episode 7 was made at all was to feed the COMBINED appetite of both prequel and OT fans. And I'm not even talking about the kids born after 2000. Their introduction to Star Wars was Disney's Clone Wars and Rebels series. Please don't put the OT on a pedestal because if not for the rest of the fanbase. Star Wars will just sit on the shelf like all other awesome but forgotten movie classics.

Darth Maul has two kids? We've all heard the threats that, an esteemed Jedi like Qui Gon Jinn, would deliver to someone who kidnapped his daughter. Darth maul is one of the few good things about TPM. It was a big mistake to have him killed off, there was so much potential with that character.
The folks at Disney should really consider giving Ray Park a role as a Jedi Knight. I bet he'd be great. Keep him in the Star Wars franchise and let him do his thing, like he did with the Darth Maul character. The guy has all that energy and talent, why not include him as much as possible? Plus, he loves Star Wars. So com'on Disney. Make Ray Park a Jedi Knight in the next Star Wars films.
