Once again Shonagh you did an amazing job. You attention to detail is something else. I love these Halloween looks and I look forward to your Sunday uploads all the time. You are one talented lady 😀❤️
I did this last weekend, and it turned out FANTASTIC!!! I only could have done this with the help of your tutorials. If I could post pictures here, I totally would--thanks again!!!
@@fionatasarek910 If I remember correctly, it took about 4-5 hours. You can't rush spirit gum! I remember the bald cap was probably the most stressful part. Thankfully I have a partner who helped. Without him I don't think I would have been able to do it. At least not in that time.
Another fricking awesome video, Shonagh!!! He looks so evil!!! My husband and I really like Darth Maul and you did such an excellent job recreating his look! I can’t wait to see your next masterpiece 🙌🏽♥️🖤
You are amazing!!!! I just can’t get over your talent! Ok, so I just rewatched this for the 4th time. I showed it to a couple of my nephews who are HUGE Darth Maul fans! They are completely in shock because they assumed it was a mask and not makeup/paint. I am in awe of your natural talent. Billy is such a great model! Sooooo patient! Can I ask how long it took to complete? You both are ROCK STARS!!!!
holy crap. i am never disappointed with any of your tutorials, especially your halloween ones. you are so bloody talented. thank you for all of the tips and tricks that you share with us xx
Hi Diego! If you need longevity look at getting the ProAiir Hybrid paints instead, they are affordable and they last without any touch ups! I used this paint in my Yondu tutorial: ua-cam.com/video/emPTCfk-cTg/v-deo.html It’s the same paint used on Guardians Of The Galaxy movie for Gamora and Yondu.
This is the best Darth Maul makeup tutorial on the web, and you're right about how they just glued the horns on in the movie and you could see it, I noticed that too. I have a question, do you need to apply any water to your brush before using the superstar paints? Or do you just dip your brush into the superstar paint and start painting away?
I think if you could make a Darth maul cap and then apply it might be easier. And have the cap kind of stretchy so it's some what adjustable but fantastic job!
❤ , awesome thank u .When film came out my sister did make up i hired a outfit for works doo i won the competition, i do fire breathing now , and will do this as him ❤
This is unreal!!! You are amazing, and so talented, id look like a bruise if I tried this. Looked so satisfying watching you paint on that bald cap..is that weird haha.
Wow this is dope! Do you have or know of any good videos on the basics of this kind of makeup? I'd like to do creative stuff like this sometimes and I'm trying to figure out what essential supplies i need to start with
Hey do you know what exact product you used for the eyebrow wax and sealer? The links just take me to Kryolan's website but not to the specific product??
@@ShonaghScott you’re welcome. I’m not entirely sure yet. I’ve thought about it! I do enjoy attending Comic Cons and collecting autographs from actors/actresses. Are you based in London then?
We’ve been every year for the past 10 years I would say. My husband is a exhibitor there. I’m not based in London but not too far, about 45 mins outside of London.
@@ShonaghScott that’s awesome. I’m based just outside of London, too. Somebody I would love to meet at a Comic Con is Ray Park (who originally played Darth Maul). If I ever got to meet him, I would definitely go AS Darth Maul. I was wondering, if we interacted a lot more, if, maybe one day, you would be able to do make me up as him? Just like you did with that guy in the video? I would happily pay you for it. You are such a great makeup artist. PS: I followed you on Instagram.
So, fun fact! The black part of Darth Maul's skin are actually tattoos! Or more accurate, Sith Tattoos. Only the red part of his skin is his original skin color. Knowing that, imagine how painful it was getting these tattoos knowing where they are located on his face and body.
You forgot the chevron lines on the cheeks but it’s otherwise so well done. Nice detailed tutorial and will definitely be following it when it comes time for me to attempt one :)
Is there a way to set this to make it harder to wipe off/ smear? My 6 year old wants me to paint his face like this for Halloween but I’m worried he won’t be able to keep his hands away from his face. I may have an aneurysm if I were to spend an hour+ painting his face just for him to mess it up within 5mins.
Hahaha, you can use a fixer spray. As he is 6 you don’t want to use anything too hard to remove but Kryolan do a fixer spray that is like hairspray for your face. It will make it more resistant to his touching! 😅👍🏼 Please do let me know how you get on, I’m intrigued now!
Absolutely fabulous. The best Darth Maul ever, really well done, I love watching your tutorials
Thanks so much!
I've said it before - but it is worth repeating - Shonagh, you are so talented it's unreal!! It looks just like in the film, only better :-) xxxxx
Thanks so much! I wanted to do a better job as I couldn't stand those stuck on horns! Haha!!!
I don't think you've seen the film because nothing can beat it
Do you even know what movie this is from ????

So talented. I love watching your work. Billy is so patient, but I’m sure he loves the transformations in the end.
This is way better than the one in the movie
Thank you very much!!! 😁
