    Thank you this video. We are about to install geo cell matrix in the high traffic areas and around the hay station of our farm. This video is very helpful.

    How you find the upkeep with the lightfoot system? Looking for solutions and paddocks are on sandstone base so erosion is long term issue after mud gets washed away.

      It's good. They like to try dig it up. It is probably the best solution for mud control but it is very expensive for recycled plastic.

    What kind of pipe is that you’re using?

    • @buildgrowplay

      4" perforated ag pipe. Would have used something more ridged if possible. But I am newly to America and not across all the different products here.

    Hi, we are thinking of laying this down too. The horses know its there and are they always digging, trying to get to it? ours is a very curious playful boy and i assume he will try to find it too? we are in northeast US and want to avoid frozen mud come the winter.

      Yes. We have one that loves to try and get to it, but with it 4 inches of gravel over the top he can't dig up enough to do damage.

      @buildgrowplay we are thinking of 4x4 border in a 14x14 area off his stall . I've seen videos where they attach the grid to the frame with rebar. Did you ground spike the grid?

      @jimboettcher2130 I used short t pickets and removed them afterwards. My area was in a natural depression and didn't need a border

      It's still works great. They love trying to dig it up, but so far, it is still intact. It also keeps their feet in good shape.

      @@buildgrowplay Can horses eat hay off of that gravel surface?
      I've read things before of course horses cant eat sand and cant eat their hay off of a sand surface due to toxicity...is gravel the same idea?

    • @buildgrowplay
      @buildgrowplay  Місяць тому +1

      @@Brett_Nebraska it is more about minimizing risk. Gravel is easier for them to remove from their food than sand and dirt. But our feed areas are floors with rubber stall mats

      @@buildgrowplay thank you! One last question is do you use any specific type of bedding over top of the stall mats?
      This would be for an outdoor shelter thats exposed to water/ rain/ sun / heat/ freezing
