Justin you actually have the best guitar lessons on UA-cam hands down! Keep up the amazing work. You've made me a better guitar player and I am very grateful!

Justin I don't know how often you look at these comments but i play professionally here in the Philly area. I have always loved Your Song but had a mental jack about learning it, until now. Your lesson was great I had it in a couple of hours and will add it to my song list. Much Thanks Dave
Chorus lyrics : 9:40 You can tell B minor, that this is your G - it might be B minor, but now that it's G, I hope you don't mind , B minor with an A-base, G sharp minor 7 flat 5 going to a G6
Thank you!! You are the master!! We bow to your sir Lol For an added eargasmic sound fellas: just as you switch to that C# minor at the 3:45 mark, do a hammer on from the B note (second fret 5th string) to the C# note (fourth fret 5th string) and immediately after, play that 4th note on the second fret (which happens to be your fourth on that C# minor).
Brillant instruction! God bless you sir. This is so wonderful and just makes me happy to have someone I can find out how to play some of the great songs in this world I wanted to learn. Thank you sir.!
I love you man. I remember when you used to talk about how you weren't a singer and you do it anyway. I just love that. Thanks and I look forward to learning this tune.
Wow! I think this is one of your best vocal performances I caught myself listening much more to your singing than playing (well, your playing is always outstanding) Thanks!
Thank you Justin! You are a natural teacher. No way was I going to sit down, listen to the record and learn this. Now after an hour of watching this I sound like I mastered every piano chord voicing. Bravo, especially if you figured this out on your own. Wow!
--- A good complement for you and no 0ne can beat you Once you make that first INTRO--- DEMO that must of the people dont do. And thank Justin Justice for all your efforts real teachings real lessons! Thank you BOSS !
BEEN SO LONG.....picked up the axe again and hav just remembered how epic a teacher u are.....i remember one of ur first videos when ur mate was snoring in the background....legend!! thanks for all the vidz...going to use this song to propose to my missus thank justin!
Nice arrangement, Justin. I am not a singer, but I try. I was able to match the key of a recording of this song I found on UA-cam by placing a capo on the 1st fret. I'm quite sure you are aware of this. But if anyone is interested in playing/ singing while listening to the recording....
"A few little tricky bits" - mmmmm? I have now learned this song but not only is it a bit tricky, you also need a strong left hand / wrist. And the F#/A# was new to me. Took some getting used to especially as I have small hands. Thanks to you Justin, I persevered and now have better technique as well as another song under my fingers.
Thanks Justin, I tried playing this on piano once without success ( seeing how i`m a guitar player ) Always been a favorite. Thanks for the lesson it sounds great, I like your singing as well. You are my guitar teacher now, just thought you should know. I`m buying your songbook today. Your the best teacher on the internet.
Justin, after some weeks of practise using this lesson, i'm starting to play and sing this song almost fluently. ... and it is pure hapiness ... a great thank you from France ! gilles
Hi Justin, many thanks for this video tutorial. I tried experimenting with the Travis-styled fingerpicking method & it sounded really nice as well. Cheers!
I have overlooked learning this song for ages, because it really didn't seem to be oriented for guitar. But, watching this video, it seems like the song was written for/on guitar. Show me to the woodshed.
wow for me its clear, its guitar tutorial at its best, i ve been looking for the right chords of this song for years, and thank you Justin for sharing your talent, keep up your diligence.
Thank you, Justin. What a good lesson. But I’m not on this level yet. This fantastic version is too complicated to understand for me. I hope I’ll come back here ASAP.
Definitely the best tutorial ever for this song in the whole UA-cam galaxy !! Amazing chords and really well put! Thanks a lot Cheers from California! 🍻
Can't reply directly to the posts below on this smart phone but, re the break in which had come as sad news to me - this guy gives so much & doesn't deserve shit like that! What I would say is help him a bit whilst doing yourselves a BIG favor in buying his latest album. It's practically on loop in the car - love it to bits!
Found out we have a baby girl on the way today, so second to crying like a baby listening to this, it is my next track to learn from you. Sublime version, awesome job. Many thanks.
Hola. Muchas gracias. ( thanks and very well)
Great lesson. Very cool song to play. I find playing the D chord with your first finger barring the bottom three strings with middle finger on the b string to be much easier to transition to that tougher g chord. Much easier for me. Thanks again for the great lesson.
Great video, Justin! Congrats man Nice and clear instructions for beginners not letting the pace of the video dumb down from too much unnecessary repetition. Many guitar players who post tutorials can't quite reach that balance. Congratulations again, my friend. keep up the great work
Your chord pattern is great. I use ultimate guitar app and there are simpler variations of the chords but subtle. Are you using the official chords? You da man!
for the original key (Eb), you'll have set a capo on fret one since Justin plays it in D here. Hey Justin...great to see you're not letting the idiots who stole your stuff get you down. Thanks as always for another great lesson and I hope the authorities are able to roundup your gear.
Absolutely amazing. There are chordings that some I had learned but never applied and some that is new... needed the challenge. Love the song and version with guitar.
7:09 Bmin BminA G#min7b5 G6 ....this remembers me a bond theme. Anyone? :D Justin, great lesson....the quality of your content has increased over the years. :) (top notch even back then)
Thanks for the lesson. I enjoy them very much. If you put a capo on the 2nd fret it turns into a really easy first position song transposing the chords you play. The only barre chord would be the 3rd chord of the intro where you need the d note. Much easier for a beginner or someone not yet at your talent level. Keep up the good work.
Lovely guitar cover Justin well done and great lesson too! lots of chords up and down the kneck on this one...interesting singing section of downstrum version as well, thank you!...
Great job! I've watched many other teachers and I agree your lessons are among the best. I love the singing through the chord changes too. G#m7b5 is quite a tongue twister. Funny. Thanks for the help!
Thank You Very much. Altough its a Very known song, I discovered It recently, and ran to UA-cam to learn How to play It. Your video helped me a lot. Ps: Your way to speak the notes remind me of Paul McCartney, on that Yesterdar version, with him speaking on the beginning of the record.

I think singing Elton's songs especially suits you. Very pleasing and nice.
Justin is the best guitar mentor in UA-cam!. I had tried lots of them. I salute you.😊🎸❤💕💖💞
Great lesson - first time I've got a good sense of moving between inversions on guitar. Very pianistic! Thank you.
Indeed! Playing a song on guitar that was originally written on piano is quite challenging, but worth it.
Nice arrangement, Justin. I am not a singer, but I try. I was able to match the key of a recording of this song I found on UA-cam by placing a capo on the 1st fret. I'm quite sure you are aware of this. But if anyone is interested in playing/ singing while listening to the recording....

Hi Justin, just want to say that your videos are an inspiration :). Thanks for your work and greetings from Poland.
I have overlooked learning this song for ages, because it really didn't seem to be oriented for guitar. But, watching this video, it seems like the song was written for/on guitar. Show me to the woodshed.
Makes me wonder how much Davey Johnstone influenced its development/construction.

Great interpretation and lesson, Justin. I love this arrangment. It is much easier than the way I have been playing it.
I FIND IF YOU TAKE THE GUITAR OUT OF THE CASE FIRST, IT IS EASIER TO PLAY : 0 )
David Malton And tune it.
Raymond Poston NO, i find the tuning of the guitar OPTIONAL .... stay friendly : 0 )
Justin is awesome!
Thanks Justin, you're a legend mate.
