A quick adjustment of shower door level when it won't close. If your shower has a level adjustment bar like this one, you will want to watch this first.
Holy crap, this stupid shower door has been sagging for several YEARS--my landlady saw it and thought I'd done something wrong to it. She had no idea how to fix it but she charges me such low rent that I try not to bother her with things. I've been investigating this literally for years. Just found your video and in 5 minutes, boom, level again! Whoo hoo! In my case there's a little bolt sticking up instead of a screw down in there so it was even easier--just loosened with a small wrench, moved it til a level on the top of the door showed it was good, then closed the door to make sure before re-tightening, problem solved. Thank you so much!!!!
You are the bomb! Made me look like a hero to my wife! Fixed shower door that had to be lifted to close every time. It was so annoying I was considering redoing the whole shower since the door was messed up! Thank you!
Awesome video! Even though my door wasn’t anything like this one, thanks to your clear and concise explanation of the theory, I was able to easily fix mine. Ours was a clamp-style with a nut that I loosened to tap the door in and level it. Happy holidays and thank you for being generous with our knowledge!💚
Very helpful. After adjustment might consider "sealing" the top of the screw with some candle wax to keep it protected from mineral deposits/corrosion.
Saved me probable $150. Mine wasn't slotted like a screw. It had a square top like a pipe plug. Took a chance and gave it a twist and it came loose. Thanks
Super helpful. I was about to pay someone $280 to figure out why the shower door does close properly when I figured I’d look around online to see if there’s a simple solution!!
I am going to attempt this later today. Tired of hearing the banging door. I tend to lift up on the handle and it closes pretty well. I shall report back Sensi!😊
We tried this but from the bottom to halfway of the door is fits perfectly but the rest of the door there is an opening and the magnetic closure is weak. What could be the problem. My husband thinks it is the wall that is not even

Hey there - I was able to quickly adjust the top, but what about the bottom? In our case the bottom needs to be moved, feels like there might be the same mechanism underneath, but much harder to get at it / can’t see it
I just install a Franklin Brass pivoting door. The door is not even. The top front of the door sticks above the strike jamb on the closing end about 1/8 of an inch and the bottom front is back about 1/8 of an inch from the strike jamb. Whenever I loosen the top nut and slide the top of the door down the bottom moves further towards the pivot jamb. When I loosen the bottom nut the top end goes further up above the strike jamb. I dont know if it's an uneven wall or.......any advice would be awesome.
So my shower door has this same adjustment mechanism... Except whoever installed it screwed it in from the inside of the frame and then installed the glass. What an idiot.

Thank You so much for the detailed instructions. Absolute Life Saver right here. I appreciate you.
my door has none of these leveling screws or bars or pins or anything else in about 50 videos so far WTF
This did the trick! Mine was not staying closed. I let it sag a little bit and now it stays closed. No more puddles of water on the floor. Thank you!

Oh, man, that is what I have. Square top. Tried to turn it, and got nothing. I will see if I can put something on it to try and loosen it up.
Perfect, you saved me a ton of aggravation. Thanks!
Mine did not, but your suggestion of looking at the top solved my issue. Thanks!
Many thanks for the 2 minute fix!

What an easy fix, I have the same door but no adjustment screw mechanism, what do I do?
What if it doesn't have a set screw? Mine doesn't seem to have any screw or adjustable spots.
Good "heads up" thanks for posting this video.

My door does not have that screw. It needs to be leveled,. Can’t find a way to adjust
Check out the "This Old House" video on this topic--he fixed a shower door that needed the actual metal frame adjusted (I think it was out of square).
very good friend like
subbed
Yes!
