Thousands expected in downtown Charleston for popular festival

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) - The 2024 Charleston Sternwheel Regatta is just days away and businesses like Fife Street Brewing are preparing for an influx of people expected downtown.
"Pretty much tripled all our inventory," General Manager John Query said. "We got plenty of beer. We're gonna have the AC cranking all week, and we're ready to go."
The Regatta had been missing from Charleston summers since 2009 until it was brought back in 2022.
