G'day from Australia mate, love your work I'm just starting out in woodwork and I found your videos and you have literally swayed my entire project path towards ring making legitimately fantastic work mate 10/10
Cheers dude. I haven’t done a wood ring video for a while as I was burned out from making customers rings/the course so was kinda sick of em haha. Should get a few more of these out in the coming months if this video does well 👊🏽
I love your videos. I was inspired by you to start making bent wood rings. I am disabled so this is an easy fun thing to do at the times I'm able. Keep the videos coming. Thank you! The rings are beautiful.
Hey Zebrano, huge fan of your work!! not only your skills are amazing but also your attitude makes the videos great, please keep doing them. Maybe you could try static focus mode in your camera, but as I previously said, your attitude makes that a really small detail that you can continuously improve. :)
Beautiful. It was your videos that inspired me to start making bent wood rings. Just made one for my mate's 50th. Where did you get the non-stick pipe? Creating the right size former, using sockets, electrical and Teflon tape, is a right pain.
I did enjoy it. I will comment more. I usually feel uncomfortable commenting. But if it helps you to keep doing bentwood rings I certainly will comment. I think you do absolutely wonderful work. Because of you I have made 1 successful bentwood ring for my wife, and a couple not so successful. Lol You make it look too easy. Thank you for all you post. I believe you mentioned previously you were burnt out from them. Well I for one am encouraged by your work. So thanks again! Sincerly Ed
Hey Zebrano! I really love the rings you make! I made one of my own before I bought a lathe and a dedicated workbench, and even that simple one was enough to impress a local art shop into letting me sell my rings there. Thanks to you, I'm gonna have a nice side hustle doing something I enjoy! P.s., How long do you sand your rings for? 2 - 3 minutes for each grit? Or is it based on feel? Thank you!
@@ZebranoWoodCraft it's all good thanks bud! As always, thank you for the inspiration! I remember making my first one, watching your video on bentwood and guitar string :)
Awesome ring can't wait to make it! I'm having trouble with my ca glue durability. My finish often cracks a little after 2 weeks. Any suggestions? Is it just my glue?
Nice video! Your videos have inspired me to start making bentwood rings. I'm at a stage where I am attempting more technical designs and wanted to know how you can cut an inlay without a lathe. At present I am marking the center line and using small flies and rasps. However I'm finding them to not be 100% perfect. Is there any other techniques I could use before I go buy a lathe? Ty.
I have seen a few people make the top wood strips thinner and leave the Middle open with only first layer or two completely across. Some of them look pretty decent. As long as your cuts are straight on the two strips it should look pretty good.
how do you polish your rings without the lines between your different layers of CA being visible on the final product? I have spoken to many talented pool cue builders all of which no longer use CA glue for that exact reason. It's like you can see where the layers of the inside of the ring and the layers you put on the outside of the ring overlap, and no amount of polishing or buffing can get rid of the lines to make one consistent shine.
@@ZebranoWoodCraft I find it happens even when I am not. for example: I put my layers on the inside of the ring, then I put my layers on the sides of the ring, then I put my layers on the outside of the ring. When I go to sand and polish you can see the seamlines of where I did the inside, then the sides, and then the outside, even through the final polish. It's a bit odd!
Hello Zebrano, my name is Adelto. I am from the Canary Islands, Spain. I want to know if you can tell me where to buy the fine wood veneers. thanks greetings.
I honestly just saved up for 250$ mini lathe. Doing it by hand take way to long and longer to learn how so I just gave up on that. I suggest buying a cheap mini lathe that will give you a precise and even grove.
@@logand9190 I %100 agree with you, but unfortunately if you are paying 250$ for it that means I'm gonna pay something like 3000$ for very cheap Chinese type ones because of where I live. Thank you for your suggestion.
Lovely work! New Subscriber here! Thanks for posting. Your content helps inspire me for my own content on my channel! ❤ keep up the wonderful work 🙌 hope we can be yt buds one day ✌
After watching a few of your videos I can see you love what you do and you’ve very much inspired me to give ring making a good, got yourself another sub, I have a UA-cam channel where I do woodworking/building stuff, maybe I can add this to my skill set if it’s something I can catch on to, so thanks man, hope you check my channel out.
That's awesome. I built a $10,000.00 wood shop right before Covid hit and can't afford large lumber. Now I have something to build in my shop. Thanks!
Ah yeah you’ll get plenty of projects out of exotic scraps/veneer man!
Amazing and absolutely beautiful. I'm just beginning to work with jewelry. You definitely have earned my like and follow

Hahaha thanks man, I wish I’d started when I lived in NSW! Let me know how you get on bro 😎
I'm hoping there's a way to accomplish the same result all by hand! Wonderful video, mate!
Yes. It's very easy to make these with no real tools. Only sand paper. Good luck 😃
It's great to see you make a bent wood ring again. I've mist them works of art. This has made me want to make more of my own.

That's Awesome Brother! Good to See You Again Man👍
That‘s a cool inlay material, it looks beautiful and is rather easy (for you) to apply. Love that colors.
Great job, I really enjoy the way you make your videos. Great presentation!
AWESOME!!!!! Beautiful work, as usual. You really are a fine craftsman!!!!! SUPREME!!!!
You make that look so easy dude. Thanks for re igniting my passion and wanting to give this a go again.

Nice one mate, thank you for watching (I’m glad someone is hahah)
Awesome ideas. Thanks
Love your work mate, and especially the passion you have for the craft.
I always think your accent, to me, has a touch of Newport, Wales about it....
Nailed that accent radar 👊🏽. I grew up in the valleys near Newport and lived there while I was at uni 😂
Great ring and video. You make it look so easy. Looking forward to your next vid. 👌🏽👌🏽
Love the inlay!
beautiful job !!! as always. I hope someday I will match your skill. keep creating and inspiring.
Looks amazing RING 🤩Thanks for sharing 🤗
Definitely an artist! Thanks Bro!
Haha thank you, I hope all is well?!
That is awesome work. Such a great looking ring.
Cheers boss!

Thanks dude! I sand based on feel tbh. I’d recommend stopping the lathe frequently to check how sanding is going 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
_Amazing_ !
The rings look so cheap and shitty and dirty when you start - and then they morph into this sleek, shiny, expensive-looking _gem_ !
That's really really stunning mate!
Hey cheers! How’s the ring business going for you?

Love your rings. Thank you for the info on making great looking rings. I was wondering what kind of burnishing cream you suggest? Thanks!
just a question.
how thick should the veneer be.
thanks in advance.
the videos are very helpful.
thanks again

The thornhill sight? does it exisit? been trying to find it?!
What would be the difference in using a thin vs medium CA?
What cloves do you use that the glue doesn’t stick?

Hey man, I’d recommend searching on Amazon or EBay for marquetry wood veneer ✅. Get ones with no adhesive backing (just raw wood)
Awesome dude
Are you planning on doing more reveiws of fans work i really enjoyed those
Can you suggest a way for cutting the grove for the inlay? I tried scroll saw but it didn't work out.
You can use small files to cut it in.

Can you use pre-glued veneer?
I wouldn't like to😊
@guidelineuk all I had access to, halfway through the boiling process it easily scrapes off.
