Tambra here - Thanks! ha ha! We have a fun time! I always feel like I laugh too much, but I'm just enjoying the ride and the fun so much it makes me happy! :) Thanks for watching!
Love the new video. Ever since discovering your channel just a little over a month ago, and binge watching PA Adventure Trails videos, I've been looking forward to each new video you put out (I should probably be out making my own adventures instead of sitting in front of my computer, but when I am here, watching your videos is almost as much fun as being out there riding). With the two of you being able to ride backwards so well, that expert trail must've been a cakewalk. 🙂
Tambra here - ha ha ha! We're so epic...riding backwards! That part still makes me laugh! If you make a video, let us know so we can watch! Thanks for watching!
Good stuff!! A bunch of us have the trip planned this coming May 10th-13th. Located in southeastern PA so we have about a 2 1/2 hour ride just to get to the one of the start points. Looking forward to the trip. Good vids!!
Thanks for joining us on our travels! We've been using OSMAnd on our phones, it's works fairly well, for a free app. Not sure yet what we'll use this year, we've been wanting to try Gaia; got it downloaded, but haven't learned it yet. We've considered a dedicated GPS, but we have enough spare phones that we can always have a backup handy if one fails.
The part toward the beginning was steep and rocky. We have ridden stuff like that on the ANF trails, but not a section quite this long. That part was dry, but required careful navigation picking the right lines. The video (as is always the case) was a bit misleading; it was steeper than it looks. None of it was a problem for the TWs, but I wouldn't recommend it on a bigger bike without a lot of experience. It was all dry in that part; if it were wet, that would have raised the difficulty level considerably. The wet parts we encountered were not as rocky, but some of the crossings were deep enough to raise concern. It wasn't that we were afraid of getting wet, it was more like we didn't want to get our gear all wet without the chance of drying it out with 3 more days to ride, or dropping the bike in the deep part and sucking water into the intake. From watching other videos of that section, it appears that when we rode it, it was much wetter than normal.
Sometimes when we're parked, I'll plug cameras, phones, etc. into the charger on the bike. I can get away with it for a little while, but if I leave things on it for too long, the bike's battery will get too low. That's what happened here.
You guys got me HOOKED 🪝❤️
Love the dialog between you two!

Tambra here - sounds like a great ride ahead!!! I'm ready to head back and ride it again (maybe after the snow...ha ha)!
This video reminds me of a song from my more youthful days ……
Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side. Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side. 😅
Oh, that's really bad!
What navigation did you use to figure out an extreme section?
OSMAnd worked for us on all the sections; any time we had to figure out a detour, we just studied the map until we found a way that worked.
Have you taken a look at the magneto? Might be something loose making the noise.
That's a thought, hadn't considered that...
I'm planning on doing some of these sections this coming summer... May I ask what you're using on your phone as far as gps to navigate these sections?

R B Winters state park at the end?
Yessir!
How hard was the expert section? It looked a bit muddy at times with deep puddles. Were there lots of rocky or really steep sections?

@@CrossAdventuring thank you for your reply. I’m looking forward to trying the BDRX next summer.
Awesome day!
What caused your battery to die?
