I like this guy. He's running a small family business on a global scale. That is what we need to have more of in the agriculture business. Not the megacorporations. I also think he's got the right idea getting you to test his product. You're one guy running 150 breeder cows, plus bulls and a few feeder steers. That's a lot of cattle for one person to handle safely and effectively. And you'll most likely be setting this system up on your own as well. A perfect testing ground as far as Arrowquip is concerned with the UA-cam channel as a bonus. Good luck getting the system put together. God bless and take care.
You're correct Sheila. Mike does just about all of the cattle work himself. If he can vaccinate, band, tag, etc. with Arrowquip. as his only helper that is HUGE for cattlemen.
Arrowquipp is sure going to make waves by the channel demo to show quality, innovation, engineering, longevity and affordability. They will be game changers quickly. It's great to see the hard work bring demonstration opportunites that will help many learn from a great Rancher. Win Win Win Austrailian Rancher, hands on engineering. I cant wait to see the plan new vs old way. For set up, it would be great training to offer new clients and help with a quick install. Then you can return the labor when they install there systems. Ask Aerroquipp to sponsor your travel expense and set aside more demonstration marketing funds to keep sending truckloads of cattle handling equipment. Every Ranchers dream has to be a relationship with fencing, handling equipment. Beats wifes family owns a chain of liquor stores, like a drum.
ArrowQuip's faith in you proves that you and Erin have truly become influencers. Not just in Campbell County Wyoming, but really around the world. Ranchers, gardeners, wannabe's, city folk, and a host of others look to you for truth, and quality information and content. We'll done you. Thanks, again, for all you do. See you in the fall.
The one little guy was more than a little confused. That large dark shape he was following was NOT his mom. It was a man in a gator. Poor baby. It was large and it was dark and it was moving and by all rights it SHOULD have been mom! But it wasn't. How disappointing! At least mom was close by.

@@Arrowquip Hello arrowquip, I would like to talk to someone like Andrew about a chute that I purchased from one of our local dealers. We bought the chute from LEM in hull iowa and the guy sold it to me with his own trailer on it. Before I got the chute home it was already having problems, I have owned the chute 3 months now and am ever disappointed with it. Now I'm not sure if that's because of the bad trailer design or of a chute flaw but im not impressed with the terrible support I am getting from the dealer.
I did finally get into contact with arrowquip and they did solve the problem I was having with the current chute I have. The support from Arrowquip has been fantastic, but my dealer didnt give me the support I was hoping for. Thanks again Arrowquip.
Thank you for the interview with the CEO, never seen before. Unheard to have an interview and that they share the history of how they started. I don’t own a ranch, or else I would buy his product. Way to go Mike!
So adorable how the calf runs after the gator... you're backing up and he's trying to catch up... and I can hear him saying "hey daddy! where ya going?" Love it!
A BIG WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know I have been pushing this on your channel for some time regarding Arrowquip. I think I may be more happy then you and really does not affect me at all. Hats off to Mr. Firth and Aarowquip strong cattle holding systems, handling gates that holds up season after season get job guys best of luck in North america and beyond! Thanks again to Mike I know this is a busy time on the ranch can't believe you find the time to edit these videos, get some rest ! won't help the cattle if you get sick!!!
Thank you - and Arrowquip - for providing people like me - a high school math teacher on lockdown - a little bit of an outlet from this peculiar mixed-up Coronavirus-world. Thanks. If I was local, I'd be buying from you. When we come out of lockdown, I plan to try to source out some local grown beef (we already go to the Farmer's Market every year when it's active - probably won't be this year). I drive past a lot of cow-calf operations on my 30 minute commute to teach in Klamath Falls. Now I look at those ranches much differently - my perspective has been forever changed by my opportunity to "Escape the Ordinary" and visit with each of your Vlogs.
I believe everyone has a whole new respect for teachers these days! Let me say thank you for what you do. Im happy to hear that your perspective has changed and you are going to search out local growers! Stay safe and healthy, and thanks for watching.
I've enjoyed your 30/30 series. I realize it had to be a considerable amount of extra work for you. We are still on lock down, looking like at least another 2 weeks. Your partnership with Arrowquip is great. Family owed, operated and taking enough pride to be part of the on the ground work. That's a great company. I'll be looking at Arrowquip when we look to replacing corrals in another year or 2. Thanks Mike and Erin for being a part of our day and our lives.
I saw the ArrowQuip equipment on one of your earlier vlogs. It looked very well put together. Was very impressed that they had two guys come down and help with working your cattle. We all know that they are hoping to sell some product out of your vlogs. Well, it is working. I have been in touch with Ryan Langrell with ArrowQuip. Looking at getting their Q-Catch 7400 squeeze chute. Thanks for everything you do. Keep up the good work. Good luck with the rest of your calving season. Now get to work on the new working pens.......
Thank God that there are still people who believe in the farmer/rancher. It is an awesome idea how to get their products out into the world wide Web audiences.
Growing up in Missouri, I am proud that ArrowQuip found a new home there. I like the feel of him being the friend, that will come help you when it is needed. I did that myself a few times. Never raised cattle, but that did not stop me from throwing fresh grass over the fence when I saw them. How they would try and lick me when I did so. Till your next one Mike, Stay Safe, Stay Healthy!! Oh yes, Stay Warm, still looks a bit nippy out there.
Hey Mike out of all the cattle ranchers throughout the country he chose you that's saying something I never heard of a CEO of a company reaching out to someone to try out their equipment and give a honest review about it congratulations Mike all your hard work has paid off and your a good man Mike you deserve it and I liked watching the CEO and to hear what he has to say so what's next for our Wyoming life keep up the good work and see you in the next video 🤔🤠😉

I've not had any contact with her for some years, but companies like Arrowquip, and producers like you could really benefit from her expertise. Great job with the calves!
The more I see of Arrowquip, the more I like. I desperately need a new chute. I currently use an old WW chute that my grandpa bought used more than 50 years ago. I am saving up for an 86 series. Very jealous Mike lol. Good job.
That is a great video Mike, and clearly Andrew sees the tremendous value you and Erin place in your small operation! Wonderful partnership developing and improving cattle handling in general. Must be so amazing to be a part of their operations in Australia! -Bob...
Big kudos to Andrew and the entire Firth family. It's not often that a company will give a product over for an honest & unbiased opinion. I looked over the equipment at Ranch Roundup 2019 and it is first rate quality. Looking forward to helping and getting hands on during Branding 2020.
I love this! Great example of solid business practices, patience and a willingness to work together! So looking forward to seeing your new tool up and working for your herd management! Outstanding!
Another great and productive day. A new calf, #11, and new equipment to provide safety and security of all your cattle. Thanks to Andrew and Arrowquip for providing all that new equipment for you to test and how the rest of the world how great the product works.
Well done Arrowquip, you're plan worked because I've only seen a little about your systems from this channel and let me tell you, I want one! Congrats on the upgrade Mike, thanks for the videos.
Very, very impressive conversation with Arrow Quip Exec. Because of the way this was presented makes me even more aware of the equipment. That is very clever. Smart move on Arrowquip part. What better way to show thousands of farmers and ranchers a real life setting using their equipment. It all looks good on a show room display.
Well done Andrew and Mike as an Aussie its fantastic to see I enjoy your channel and have for quite a while looking forward to seeing the new system work out for you
You are so sweet to these calves and their mothers. I was one of the people worried about Faith with her mother leaving . When I breed a cat if the mother leaves it I always worry that something is wrong with it
Yeah a new project. More work for Mike.. Glad your calf's are doing good. Maybe this equipment will help you with ranch. I believe it will make a big diffence for you and the ranch. God bless you and your family. Be safe .♥️🇺🇸🌹
you are not selling out we are happy to learn about arrow quip in Canada and to see what we can use on our farm in the future thank you from our family to you be safe

Hi again MIKE Sounds like a great company to be connected with! A great family with a great .mission doing their part to support and grow the industry. Extra work yes but extra benefits for you too. Relieved the temps are warming for you. Hopefully no more cold calves. Hard to believe 30 days almost behind us. Surely will miss the day to day! But thx a bunch Mike for all that you share and really appreciate your extra effort. I'll be there to the finish...
Good on ya Mike. I didn't know they are an Aussie company. Have him make you a Vegemite Sandwich when he shows up :-) :-) I had an Aussie make me one once and I did eat it :-) Good on the new calf too. C U tomorrow.
I have really enjoyed 30-30. I like that it's real life not much editing. You are right where you should be on that ranch. Calving and all the the ranch work comes naturally to you. So awesome of arrow quip. To help you all out. Great folks deserve great things. God bless
It takes a lot of work to keep a UA-cam channel running. Doing it daily is even harder. Your channel has been doing it daily AND ... getting better. Thumbs up all around! 👍
you learn something new everyday Mike I have farmed in southern Australia all my life cattle and cropping and I never knew ArrowQuip was an Australian company looks like a great product will be good see this new outfit set up thanks Mike
I'm in Australia and now I'm looking for an Arrowquip dealer thanks to My Wyoming Life. Global advertising on the world stage. Love to show you how to find a lost calf one day. Love the videos I can relate to the calving ones.
Thanks for a great video, Mike! Andrew seems like a really nice guy, and it's interesting to see how they started and have built up their business! Looking forward to tomorrow's video! :)
Sounds like calves are basically in a potential danger zone until the weather gets warmer, which makes sense. I am happy for you in getting equipment that will make your life easier after the original work is done setting it up. Perfect timing to get that before branding starts. Tractors are a life and back saver. I hope you can stock up on gas/Diesel before the price goes back up. Thanks for your commitment to your channel, very educational, and perhaps useful for me living in cattle country in southwest New Mexico.
great vlog. Can't wait to see the design of the system once installed. I like a system that allows you to kick out cows you don't want. like if you ran steers and cows together and only wanted steers but a cow got into the mix... being able to kick her out of the collection. makes life so much easier and safer than trying to sort them amongst other cattle. Sorry to hear about #6. I have a couple cows. so, would be interested in hearing what took her. I hate when they are circling the drain like that and you have thrown what you have at her with no response. wondering...what could we have done different or better.
Thank you for what your doing . And congratulations on the new setup. This is what I call respect threw and threw . God bless and keep the great video's coming too all of us that love what your doing it's a job yes . Butt when you love it . It's not.. thank you
I'm looking forward to seeing how the new system works for you. I run 30 cows with a friend in southern Indiana and we are looking at handling equipment for our small operation. Keep up the good work. P.S. the straw Stetson I won from OWL will be put to use in the hay field soon.
Greetings to all. I truly, enjoy watching these vidoes. Mike your dedication to your farm and family is unquestionable. The insight these vidoes show on farming life is a clear prospective without the financial burdens. I truly enjoy your calfing comments ..the way of diversity with your revenue streams is well thought out with a integrated plan...Mike, if I may, I hope you can find a way to keep your operation pure and not sell out to people with various agendas...
Good to hear Andrew Firth speaking "real Aussie English" & to see an Australian company doing well in the USA. Arrowquip has a good reputation here, both in Australia & New Zealand.
When I tag calves immediately after birth , I find they tend to be slower at taking to the teat , I left calves always till after there first drink. Hehehe I only farm in Scotland on hill without snow normally, but plenty of rain. Aberdeen Angus are great mothers and hardy calves, I did farm in Angus area for a few years , the weather is tough cold country in north east Scotland. Have a successful calving and year , stay well.
I also leave them alone until they are cleaned by mom and get their first drink. I also tag heifers one color and bulls another. One more thing, when I am tagging and banding I give mom a little feed to eat. That distracts her long enough to get the job done safely. Good luck Mike and stay safe.
Dang it kinda sad the 30/30 coming to a end I really enjoyed them but I love all your videos Ethier if it's a 30/30 our an video every couple of days love the channel -hadyn bond

Loved seeing all the new calves. Never gets old. Arrowquip is amazing! It is a win win for you both. Looking forward to seeing it put together. Love surprises...Sunday!
Smart move on Arrowquip part. What better way to show thousands of farmers and ranchers a real life setting using their equipment. It all looks good on a show room display.
That is awesome. Arrowquip is a good company and understands good marketing.
Well done Andrew and Mike as an Aussie its fantastic to see I enjoy your channel and have for quite a while looking forward to seeing the new system work out for you
Fantastic videos Mike keep up the good Work- & video ,, Arrowquip is going to be an asset to your beautiful ranch 😇
Mike I’m glad the other calves are doing good . As I said in another post that you take good care of all the cows
Oh ok .
Hey thanks Arrowquip and thanks to you & yours, Mike!!
You are so sweet to these calves and their mothers. I was one of the people worried about Faith with her mother leaving . When I breed a cat if the mother leaves it I always worry that something is wrong with it
Looks like a nice working system maybe you should try a 60 day blog your almost halfway there
How many more calves are expected this season? Congratulations on your new corral system!
Yeah a new project. More work for Mike.. Glad your calf's are doing good. Maybe this equipment will help you with ranch. I believe it will make a big diffence for you and the ranch.
God bless you and your family.
Be safe .♥️🇺🇸🌹
Looking forward to seeing the new Arrowquip system. Sweet deal for your ranch too!
you are not selling out we are happy to learn about arrow quip in Canada and to see what we can use on our farm in the future thank you from our family to you be safe
I praise both you and Arrowquip. A business relationship based on personal integrity and trust cannot fail. You have to be excited. All the best. On to #27.
Hi again MIKE
Sounds like a great company to be connected with!
Hell yes! I am so stoked to see how this all fits together.Congrats Mike on making your life easier.I would love to come help you set it up.LOL!
Good on ya Mike. I didn't know they are an Aussie company. Have him make you a Vegemite Sandwich when he shows up :-) :-) I had an Aussie make me one once and I did eat it :-) Good on the new calf too. C U tomorrow.
Thanks OJ, now I have that song rattling around in my head. See ya tomorrow.
@@OurWyomingLife Men at work I think
My friend has a Arrowquip chute and that thing is sweet quiet smooth and I like how you can move the handle to the back and 1 person can work cows
I have really enjoyed 30-30. I like that it's real life not much editing. You are right where you should be on that ranch. Calving and all the the ranch work comes naturally to you. So awesome of arrow quip. To help you all out. Great folks deserve great things. God bless
Wow what a great company
Yes they are! Thanks for watching Judy.
It takes a lot of work to keep a UA-cam channel running. Doing it daily is even harder. Your channel has been doing it daily AND ... getting better. Thumbs up all around! 👍
I am sure going to miss these videos Mike. Thank you for what you do.
Love the arrowquip
you learn something new everyday Mike I have farmed in southern Australia all my life cattle and cropping and I never knew ArrowQuip was an Australian company looks like a great product will be good see this new outfit set up thanks Mike
I'm in Australia and now I'm looking for an Arrowquip dealer thanks to My Wyoming Life. Global advertising on the world stage. Love to show you how to find a lost calf one day. Love the videos I can relate to the calving ones.
Jumping in late. What a good guy. Thank you for trusting in Mike.👍
Thanks for letting us be part of the community!
Mike, I like how you always tell us what you're doing & why you are doing it. Like for instance in this video, checking the calves.
Can’t wait Mike for your cattle handling equipment video. Really enjoy the video’s keep them rolling. Loving the 30-30 Good Luck with calving!
Hopefully the new system works for your operation and for the manufacturer. Best of luck
I believe it will passingthru69. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for a great video, Mike! Andrew seems like a really nice guy, and it's interesting to see how they started and have built up their business! Looking forward to tomorrow's video! :)
Thanks Cathy, and Andrew is a top notch kinda guy. See ya tomorrow.
I know these daily vlogs are a TON of work for you, Mike, but they truly brighten my morning!
Research and development for the both of you
Looking forward to seeing the arrow system at work.
Us too!
Feel free to give us a shout if you want to have a chat about handling equipment. Our livestock specialists will be more than happy to help you out!
Good to hear from ya John. That Stetson will do the job for ya. See ya tomorrow.
Greetings to all.
I truly, enjoy watching these vidoes. Mike your dedication to your farm and family is unquestionable. The insight these vidoes show on farming life is a clear prospective without the financial burdens. I truly enjoy your calfing comments
..the way of diversity with your revenue streams is well thought out with a integrated plan...Mike, if I may, I hope you can find a way to keep your operation pure and not sell out to people with various agendas...
Good morning Mike. As always a great vlog. Hope you can get some rest after these thirty days!😃. Blessings from Texas.🌺
Thank you Vicky. Maybe some rest after calving is over? See ya tomorrow.
Good Morning Mike, Thank You for doing this 30 days! Really going to miss this, it's been a wonderful mental escape!!
Good to hear Andrew Firth speaking "real Aussie English" & to see an Australian company doing well in the USA. Arrowquip has a good reputation here, both in Australia & New Zealand.
Im glad to hear that Russell. Thanks for tagging along with us.
Greetings James, from Texas, USA.
I also leave them alone until they are cleaned by mom and get their first drink. I also tag heifers one color and bulls another. One more thing, when I am tagging and banding I give mom a little feed to eat. That distracts her long enough to get the job done safely. Good luck Mike and stay safe.
@@kristygibson2428 we started the 2 color system a couple of years ago too.
Wow I agree. The have great looking equipment. If I had a ranch I would use their product for sure. Thanks for sharing.
What a great company and this is well deserved for your ranch! Congratulations!
