I've discovered that the mystery of the Ork Hunters' capability to use Ork weaponry is due to them adopting the war doctrines of the Orks themselves. Gork and Mork look upon these Ork Hunters as pseudo followers as they've become too feral for normal Imperium societies and combat regiments yet thrive in fighting Orks like fellow Orks, thus they have blessed these warriors and ONLY these warriors.
kinda like that daemon-hunting ork who's been blessed with reincarnation by Khorne cuz he's so fun to watch fight
Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn or maybe just use ork hands like gloves
But the usage does not depend of Gork and Mork, these gods appear later, after orks already using their weaponry.
I just wish there was a way to stop them spreading spores after orks are killed without haveing to use exterminatus.......

Well they believe that Yarrick has an "Evil eye" that makes ork heads to blow up and it is just a simple bionic eye.

It would be pretty badass imagine using an Orks Shoota dose a lot of damage but It’s inaccurate and punches a lot of recoils and Jams occasionally forcing you to loot other Orks Shootas or use different tactics to take down the Orks

a game with a story on these guys clearing Armageddon would be cool, also I think they can use work weapons because maybe the feral works believe the work hunters can specifically use them and they fear (or want to fight them more) then average soldiers

These guys are pretty much the equivalent of the Green Berets during the Vietnam War.

suggestion: Lord Commander Solar Macharius, I know it's not traitior legion but it's really rich lore that I believe many would enjoy.
Imagine an FPS/RPG hybrid set in the semi open world of the equatorial jungle with stealth, survival, exploration and squad management being the key gameplay elements. Highly immersive with lighter than average RPG dialogue between your squadmates and other encounterable forces... I wish I had like 30 million dollars to fund such a game. In my mind it sounds so freaking cool.
It would be so badass if it were an FPS imagine useing an Ork Shoota dose lots of damage crowd control but it brakes down occasionally and it’s inaccurate. maybe you start of with decent weapons but the longer you are in the jungle you run out of ammo or normal ammunition is rare your scavenged shootas are unreliable and have to use new tactics to take down the Orks maybe it could have story potential like losing your humanity something like that

Question: If Lucius the Eternal only can be killed (and stay dead!) by someone who doesnt feel any satisfaction from it, who would be likely to be able to kill him?
LiLun primarch possibly? Marines and SOB would take joy in killing a traitor, guardsmen would be so happy they aren't dead so they are out as well.
If Lucius was captured by the dark elder to harness his life force would he come back to life again when he died?

It is seen as Xenos, tainted and highly frowned upon I reference the case of Lucius using a mega arachnid limb as a blade on the ill fated Murder assault in Horus Rising but I am not sure if this applies to Imperial Guard or just Astarte's as those who criticized Lucius choice of weapon were both from the Emperors children a chapter renowned for their "purity" Look were that got them lol:)
The Mechanicus sometimes use Xeno tech but I'm told that the Emperor allowed them to kinda do whatever they want as long as they still more or less follow and help the Imperium

I've never really heard anything about Chaos regiments. I thought it was all cultists?
Imperial forces get mind-fucked by Chaos all the time. Sometimes it's a Space Marine force, but because it's millions and millions of them, it's usually an Imperial Guard regiment or an Imperial Navy vessel that turn to Chaos. Indeed the Chaos fleet is almost exclusively former Imperial ships that have sworn loyalty to Chaos and manage ot escape retribution. Same as with the Guard Regiments, they have to manage to escape the planet they are on somehow, usually that method is commandeering an Imperial ship or two, or they get transport from the very Chaos forces they were sent to kill.
In short, lots and lots of Chaos regiments - just that few of them survive long enough to be anything other than more targets for their still-loyal counterparts.
