+Peter Paton I like your quote reference, I like your travel videos...It's a sub from me!
+Peter Paton Film That's a really thought provoking quote! We need more of that wisdom on UA-cam :)
all his vlogs are such high quality and well filmed... him and neistat are honestly youtube goals
+Melissa Liang seriously
+Melissa Liang so true :D
+Melissa Liang anyone agree the title to the vid is quite belittleing
+Melissa Liang Yeah, they've been huge inspirations for my vlogs too!
+Melissa Liang Yeah someday I hope I can produce quality like them haha but for now I'm stuck with what I have which is not a bad place to start
you know what you should do? create a big world map where people can select a country and watch the vlogs from there! That would be so cool!!
Omg yes!!
Yes good idea! :D
Fine idea
+Rebecca Powell LOVE that idea
+Rebecca Powell I am Developer and will try to do this. Thanks for the Idea
Push society away from non-degradable items. That will be a good first start to eliminate the toxins in the waste dumps.
So true!
All these mini documentaries (Louis' vlogs) are so informative and eye opening!
Kenya is a truly beautiful country and I'm proud to call it my roots. you should definitely do a meet up in Nairobi
+Yusraa Yussuf *YAAAS PLEASE*
your such a kind caring person Louis.
You deserve a flicking medal or something.
:)
Just imagine the paradise Africa would be if no White man ever stepped foot on that continent.
+mcgaugh57 What a dildo!
Brent Vice That's what she said :)
+Live The Life just imagine the world if people like you excepted equality as skin colour should not be judged.
+mcgaugh57 You know, Africa was extremley underdeveloped when the white man came. Africans couldn't even make a fire, they used lightning/natural causes of fire and then hade fire guards. The white man progressed the africans so much. I also know they caused alot of suffering. But many of todays black people forget that the white man brought the modern world to Africa. If Africa would countiniue to be isolated they would not prosper, atleast not compared to Europe. It was the conditions of the cold weather and harsh living conditions that forced progress to Europe, the climate in africa did not force devolopment. I am Swedish, and my ancecetors the vikings were also super primitive compared to the Romans/Greeks, but we progressed alot when Sweden became a part of Europe. I however understand the hatred towards white people by african-americans, but I personally don't think the obsession of past slavery is good for african americans, the negativity and victimhood on focusing on that can really hinder your current situation. And also, the average African-American is much richer than the average black African.
***** I can't let my self even think that, it would be glorious.
Louis, I am so proud of your ethics and the way you devote your time towards others who are less fortunate. Sacrificing eating 'what everybody else eats' for your new way of life as a Vegan is incredibly commendable. This is why I follow you! Thank you for continuing to be inspirational to so many of us.
Humbling Louis - thanks for sharing.
that beginning of the vlog was insane thankfully the mans alright
I have been influenced by recent works that take a negative view of charity tourism. There is a certain amount of trepidation when I see Louis, quintessential white guy adventurer, mixing it up with people who live in extremely poor or primitive conditions as if he is one of them. Not that it is bad to see these things first hand, but one needs enough self-awareness to know that you are there first are foremost for your own benefit. Your presence is not a gift to anyone, beyond the simple human kindness and respect you ought to pay no matter the situation one finds oneself in. I have not seen enough of his vlogs to say how he seems himself, though I do somewhat appreciate that he visits places more than once.
+BlackMandragon "mixing it up with people who live inextremely poor or primitive conditions as if he is one of them"
I find it troublesome that whenever people of extremely different backgrounds circumstances come together and enjoy each others company it's seen as a bad thing. And that bad focus is usually directed at the person who was fortunate enough to have the better circumstance. How dare he be happy? Why isn't he hanging his head in shame and apologising to every person he meets for having been born in England.
He may have been lucky in the circumstances who grew up in but that doesn't mean he is a superhero who should be expected to fix the worlds problems, else avoid them in utter shame of his luck. Would it be better for him to ignore the poorer areas? Stay away? So the world can ignore and forget? And not give the charities the publicity? I can't see that. Or just spend the whole time sad and crying for them all? Somehow I think they may find that to be more insulting, if anything.
This sort of complaint just seems like social justice warriors being insulted for someone else, who isn't insulted.
Tourism brings wealth. These people want them to come. That's why they gather and put on a show for the tourists.
Isn't he trying to understand the people he visits? Isn't he bringing about awareness through his platform?
I think vlogging is his way of showing respect to these people and their struggle and their lifestyle. Not solely for his own benefit
+Jasleen Marwah Absolutely. Bringing awarenes is the first step. Any one person can't do everythig. His job is to record what he sees in the world. Bring awareness. Great point Jasleen.
You should name the tree Hope
The intro was so satisfying
someone who feels the feels!! XD
+Sanju VK I loved how the words disappeared when the truck drove past then reappeared. I had to rewatch it lol
+Georgia Smith ahhh Ikr!! It was amazing..I was doing work while watching I had to stop and take that in...chilling. 😅😍🙌
+Sanju VK aw thank you! Haha. I would be happy to give you some guidance in fashion! 😂😊
I love the new sound you hear when you like a comment
Nice one
Reading through comments on recent videos, I almost find it comical how critical people are of Louis. I guess you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. Louis, coming from Kenyan and just another human being, thank you so much for the work that you're doing to help people not only in Kenya but worldwide. You inspire me to strive to be a more selfless person. Hopefully I can one day see even a portion of the world that you've seen.
It gave me all the feels seeing those people living at the dump site. How sad. :(
I literally cried where they were standing together and sang. It made me realise how people still can smile and be happy even in the conditions they are living in. It maybe sounds cocky but I am happy and sad at the same time, seeing people still believing in something even if it is singing together and do something that makes them happy.
Sometimes I wish people would realise how life should be and appreciate our life, no matter where they are from. Because life is a beautiful thing and of course nobody should live in a condition like they do. But how I see it, they still sing together and even for a moment they are happy.
God bless them!
05:16 - 05:18 made me laugh because the way Louis said "it's a bit skew isn't it?" was funny. at least to me :D
it made me laugh too
+MJ Tacloban I think the term he used was "Skew If " just a term used for something not straight. What did you find funny about it?, just out of interest.
+OptimysticSuze "skew whiff" if we're being pedantic. And I guess she just enjoyed the phrase and the way it was said.
thats cool, I say skew if
At 8:26 when Andy and the other guy were singing THEIR songs to THEM was beautiful! Music is a truly amazing thing that connects people and warms the soul!
Thank you . You are doing good work. Stay humble.
Louis I love how you go there and try to give hope, but why not stay with them for a night a don't get why you have to go to a hotel
Yea, true adventure, living in best hotels and eating vegan burgers :D
+kissingyourshadow at least he goes and helps. I'm sure it's more then you will ever do
but if you go and help and they have nothing and then your going to a hotel why they are poor and your acting like you just don't care.
Well if you think about it, if he didn't stay in a hotel he wouldn't have wifi to upload these vlogs that you enjoy critiquing so much
I was thinking the same thing tbh like I would defs love to stay with the kids if I was there etc etc but there is probably a genuine reason why he stays at the hotel. Louis isn't stuck up :-)
Great stuff Louis :) Your videos always make me smile! Just wanted to say a quick THANK YOU!! for inspiring me to create daily content of my own! :) Keep it up!
+GabeHales Ill check you out mate!
+GabeHales I literally watched the first part of your intro and subbed!! Youre awesome man!
+GabeHales just finished watching your latest vlog, enjoyed it as always :)

It will be awesome when you come back and see the trees grown. Great work Louis!
Bravo Louis! I'm so pleased that you are using your platform to highlight the great work that these groups are doing. Keep it up.
this is truly moving it makes you realise how fortunate you are hopefully these people can break out of this cycle that are greed and selfishness put them in.great vlog louis
Thankyou so much for making a big effort to post everyday, love your videos Louis 💝
as much as I love Caseys vlogs, I will always appreciate Louis' more. This particular vlog is the reason why. He can continue to give us quality content where ever he is. People sometimes give Louis such a hard time about him staying somewhere in nice places right after he's just been to that dump site. Like..are you guys serious? what have YOU done?
Listening to the guy saying hwheel barrrel reminds me of family guy. cool hwhip.
Tough people, much respect to all !
those little kids in the dumpster broke my heart. no one should live like this.
People are so fucking heartless!! How the heck you can dislike this sort of video?
Louis what could you possibly be doing up at 5am on valentines day???
+MrSmallPet This video was filmed on February 16th... Valentine's day was on the 14th.
+MrSmallPet Fingerblasting
Those birds at the dump were HUGE! Very cool that there is an auto shop and store to help support the school/orphanage along with other financial partners. Sad to hear that we're still seeing the same people at the dump two years later, but maybe most of the change will be with the younger generation.
I love how Louis treats People.
It's awesome to see you helping out with all these charities and stuff Louis :)
It's lovely to see you visiting these places and for us to be able to see the work that is being done to make things better in these poverty stricken places.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video Louis
I'm amazed at the things the built at the dump site like the bracelets.
I haven't seen your content for a while but my god you have upped your game! I'm going to be sticking around for sure. Your filmmaking and story telling is just beautiful.
I love how they started singing Wonderwall in reply to their traditional song!
Louis is a real gent raising the awareness that he does and the help he offers to charities, wish more people with similar social media impact would do the same! Also the champagne super nova sing along didn't seem to work very well :')
This is a documentary/street photographers' wet dream omg
Always a good thing caring about and helping others!Love&Respect
Love this video! I am so glad you showed the other side of how some people live. I have a friend who has a similar organization here in South Africa, and I can tell you that there is a huge need for a heightened awareness of the plight of our fellow man. Thank you for helping bring awareness to this issue, and thank you for your heart, and all that you do.
It's sad to see kids having to grow up around a dump yard. They don't know any different either but hopefully what the team and Louis are doing can benefit that community and their kids!
I always like the creative ways that Louis implements his intro, but today's was especially cool. I loved how the music came in too. :)
This is so amazing! I would love to travel to Kenya and how you've made this vlog Louis is brilliant! :)
i feel like louis is the most accepting guy ever
this was so amazing hearing how they helped the man to get a job loved it!!!!!
Heartbreaking. I'm glad someone is helping them, it shows how blessed we are....lots of love!
Those cows that were in the video, grab their poop that they left behind and put it around the baby trees. It'll grow faster. The soil that you guys used looked so dry and dead, with the poop added to it, the trees will be more nourished. Hell yeah poop!
I'm nasty af but anyone else think about the family guy "Cool whip scene" when this guy started saying "Wheelbarrow" xD 1:48
I personally love it when Louis visits new country's
used to hear that song all the time at church back home wa milenge milenge mungu wa milenge ni wani
I respect Louis so much for videos like this.
Love your videos. Looking forward to sharing our own journey as we start to sail all around on our 36 ft Sailboat. You're of course always welcome to join us and appreciate your humble attitude to living life to the fullest. We set sail in a few months and thank you for the inspiration along our way!
buy a man a fish and he can eat for a day teach a man how to fish and he can eat for life I think Jesus said something like that
There is a story of a man who is walking on the beach which is littered with starfish washed up after a big storm. A boy approaching him was throwing starfish back into the ocean. The man asked him why if he wouldn't make a difference because there were thousands and the boy replied that it meant the world to that one starfish. I think this relates to the hopelessness one might feel when we see people in these situations.
I love seeing the part where they sing so unifying and beautiful
You are such a good person Louis!!! Videos like these make me so emotional.....
God bless these people, and the people who help them......
I like how the man said that it's not just providing funding to the orphanage, but it's about improving lives. Orphanages usually are named orphanages so that can get more funding from the government/other organisations, where they kids are there full time and become reliant on the orphanage and are not seeing or being re-united with their families, which is not the way they should be operating. I'm glad the young children are getting assistance from the orphanage, but I just hope that there is some kind of re-integration process to be with their families once they are earning enough income and are able to look after their children in a safe environment. Thank you for documenting these important issues Louis, the majority of people in developed countries are so unaware of the many issues in developing countries, and often take a blind eye to them.
i wish i could follow Louis and do those kind and cool things to help those people out...
Freaking love you Louis! your an awesome person, never change!
Your my life goals your just always living in the moment out in the world experiencing everything it's amazing and I hope I can grow up to have such a good life like you
Louis is my hero.
no one should live like this, totally right. never the less, they seem lucky. they enjoy life while we enjoy material things.
This is a very touching vlog, like you said is sad to see the conditions where these people live and no one should live like that, but is so surprising to see them smiling and being so welcoming.
This video made me feel like I should thank God fr being fortunate to have clean water, clothes, education and shelter.
Thank you Louis for sharing this with us :)
I love u so much Louis been subscribed for ages
Very cool. Thanks for helping my people Louis.
This is such a great thing they are doing, inspires me to want to help!!!
These are my favourite videos of yours. Thank you so much for the job you do. This is just amazing.
Louis your amazing + your daily vlogs make my day xD (keep doing what your doing) nuff love
Wow I really want to go to Africa, one day one day..
Louis - Go to Nicaragua! Its so beautiful and theres some fantatsic places to go! I stayed with my aunt and her family who live there and visisted 2 volcanoes, a lake with volcanic islands, a natural spring, lagunas.., It was fantastic!
I volunteered at a school next to the Nakuru dump site a couple of years ago, sad to see not much has changed
Truly inspirational.
I don't post any comments when I'm watching Louis' videos but this time I had to! Last summer, I went to Kenya and it was such a beautiful but also moving experience! I wouldn't have imagined that these people are so smiley and as Louis said they have literally nothing; no one should live like that! So if you get the chance to go to Kenya one day, go and enjoy it, because you're not the same person after it! xx
Lol can't believe they sung wonder wall
Louis your soo nice!
It takes alot of courage to jump into that kind of third world poverty, Louis and Raya. I was in shock and unable to process Tijuana, Mexico - my first so called 3rd world experience. I can't possibly imagine what it takes to process those dump site villages. Especially kids growing up there. You really just can't. But, making the world much more aware of severe conditions that still exist through the vlogs is a major contribution for solutions that will lift Africa out of poverty this century. It's already happening. The economic snowball is rolling, and gaining steam quickly around the continent. And it will eventually reach into Rural Kenya, probably within years. Rest assured.
I love the positivity and love you are spreading Louis ❤️ can't wait to pursue my dreams like this. Way to go! And keep it up with the plant based lifestyle. 🌱🌱You're changing the world 🌎
people who have nothing pretty much are the happyest just know that from someone. who had nothing
We should all live like Louis
Hitting them all with a bit of Oasis😂 cant beat it😂
Dope video once again bruh!
"Tiny little tree".....from that tiny tree, great things grow!
Yes Andy! Love seeing that dude in the vlogs!
Thank you for doing what you do.
this africa vlog series has been amazing. Don't get me wrong, I love all your other fun vlogs as well, but this is sooo eye opening and interesting to watch. Thanks for giving us this beautiful insight! :)
Yes Louis going to Kenya and showing them Oasis
How can we see that in the World ? ...
zero dislikes!!
you deserve it!
