Hi I have worked for Tunnel 1. I can give some more details
T1 Length 18.873kms Dia 8m but finished Dia 7.2m by using
Herrenkneckt Tunnel boring machine from German and cost approx 150crores
We can excavate max 14 - 20m/day
But I remember 24th December 2012 we have done of 39m and that month 525m done it is first world record.
Present it was finished above 17.2kms another 600mts done from Kollam vagu side by drill and blast method
Tunnel 2 Length 18.894kms Dia 10m and finished Dia 9.4m by using Robbins Tunnel boring machine from United States and its cost approx 70crores (2nd hand machine)
We can excavate 16 to 23m per day but its highest was 32m/day. This machine requires more maintenance than Tunnel 1 machine ( once bearings already changed when the tunnel is 5kms and now again need to change bearings to go forward) present Tunnel 2 completed 10.7kms approx

“Between 2014 and 2019, Chandrababu Naidu’s government had only completed 4.33 km and 2.35 km of work for both tunnels. The current government has completed construction of the first tunnel. Work for 3.96 km of the second tunnel is remaining, which will be completed by September 2023"

Actually the work was closed at the time we went because one of the worker got corona positive and total work stopped for few days. And security guard not allowed me to go inside. Even though i went inside in some other alternate way.

ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ వైఎస్ రాశేఖరరెడ్డి గారు టైమ్ లో మొదలు పెట్టీ , జర్మనీ వాళ్ళ టెక్నాలజీ తో వర్క్ చాలా స్పీడ్ తో చేశారు ,ఆయన ఇంకో 5 years ఉంటే అప్పుడే కంప్లీట్ అయ్యేది .కిరణ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి టైమ్ ,చంద్రబాబు టైమ్ లో వర్క్ బాగా స్లో అయినది .బాబు గారి చివరి టైమ్ లో , దానిని కాస్ట్ బాగా పెంచి మరల ఇచ్చాడు. జగన్ వచ్చిన తర్వాత మరల రివర్స్ టెండర్ ల లో పెంచిన దానిని కొంత తగ్గించి ,వర్క్ స్పీడ్ పెంచాడు.

Akkada nundi canals dwara Prakasam district, Nellore district, Kadapa district ki water supply chestaru
