i really like the new lake mechanism. at 47:05 when Naven fished, he could have stopped at the wheat farm and fished for three tiles. The advantage is that this spot is available to Monique while the stone refinery was not.
Hamlet was one of my most anticipated games, so when I got it, I was beyond excited. I'm glad to see what the expansion is like. I hear the tiles to the base game are updated, as well as the church building...so if you backed the original deluxe game, you will get the updated items for free, which is nice. That church building was problematic to build when it was cardboard. Thank you for the play through!
"I thought that the rules state that you can not build a tile that you collected in the same turn" - I can't see that rule anywhere in the rulebook (founders edition rulebook at least)
I don't believe you guys ever reviewed the base game before? Opinions on it have been very mixed (Dice Tower hated it!) and there are certainly issues with the size of the components and visibility of the info on the tiles, but I didn't find these game breaking, and actually enjoyed my plays a lot. What did you think?
Hi there, unfortunately since this video was sponsored we avoid using any review language due to the conflicts of interest/issues that may arise. Feel free to send an email though!
I have had some mixed feelings with folks that have played Hamlet with me; most frequently complaining that there's tension or push to get the church done before running up the score. Second complaint that using someone elses work generating resources to turn in a church piece has some disparity on points earned. Given how tempo can go one person can generate, get some coin, and then another person snatches it all for delivery (2p game I should note). Do you share any of these feelings? And do you think the fish mechanic for making points, store house, and flag end game condition helps with any of that lack luster competition that can occur
Naveen - what is that shirt? Every time you wear it I think it's supposed to be a reference to some album art, but with donuts. But I can't figure it out!
@@benediktcz So ive played Catan, ticket to ride, flash point, haunting at house on the hill, but looking for a worker placement/tactical kind of game with medium difficulty.
@@Yuddder well i would say both are medium difficulty, architects are more of a pure worker placement, arnak is combined with card play/deck building and bit of a race to get to certain bonuses on tracks sooner than your opponent
What player count do you find yourself playing with the most? I think Monique and I would choose Arnak > Architects (if we could only pick 1) although we enjoy both. Architects benefits from more players whereas Arnak shines for us at 3.
Hi 👋 , since this was a sponsored video we unfortunately don’t provide an opinion. The goal of this video is purely informational in order to demonstrate how the game is played.
Hi! We’ve actually been posting fewer kickstarters than we have in the past. In the previous 6 videos we posted, only 1 was a Kickstarter. So definitely not going anywhere =)

During the teach, my cat was mesmerized by Monique's hand movements and with her paw kept trying to grab whatever chits she brought to attention :)
Hah that’s so cute!!
Thanks for the video, this is really helpful as always. :)
We really enjoy this game, so glad to see it highlighted here!! Have already backed the expansion - looks great!
Great to hear! Hope you will enjoy the expansion as well. 💧
I love this game, need to get this one
Thanks for checking out the video!

Ahhh you may be right. Yes I believe he would need to wait another turn to build it. Makes up for his accidental timber production lol.
This game looks interesting, May I know how did you find the base game? I didn’t back the original campaign

@@玩物喪志-v5w The base game was Kickstarted a year ago. But you can get the base game as a part of the expansion Kickstarter now.
@@njshaw2 I did read a pre-production version of the rules, so maybe I saw it there. I will look again. Thanks
Monique also didn't take 4 points for her Warehouse. Not that it mattered ;)
She actually scored her 3 warehouse points at 1:12:34
@@mechasduo004 She scores the end game points for bridges, but she never scored the 4 points for actually building the tile.
@@rramer541 ahh gotcha
You guys should try out Star Wars Outer Rim and its expansion.

I thought the complaints were over blown on the size of pieces ect. I liked it.

Thinking of picking up Architects of the West Kingdom or Lost ruins of Arnak, which one would you say is "better"? Also, have you played mysterium?
those are 2 very different games, depends on what you like in games

At about 52:00 you moved your villager into a mountain space with no road. Is that legal?
No. You need to build a road first
Looks like Shrek and his Domkey…

So many kickstarter videos all the time now it seems that’s where your channel is going..❓🫤
