I really do not play enough to do a major build but I really liked what you said about understanding the build mechanics. I have had a lot of fun with some strange builds I have put together just from finding a new aspect or weapon. They are not something that would ever deserve a build guide but they have really helped me understand the game as a whole and the different classes. It also let me just drop stress and have fun while finding the new little things that made it better or just did not work. This is starting to be my new biggest time killer.
I've played since launch. I was resistant to following meta build guides, until season 4. I kinda hit a wall with my own builds. Tried a couple meta builds and it really changed how I play. I learned some synergies i hadn't tried and learned alot. Now I enjoy getting ideas from guides and a better understanding so I can make better builds with my own twist. I like experimenting alot but now I understand why some players do copy meta builds. The biggest thing I learned from guides is how important paragon is. It's way more important than I thought at first. Lol. I've also recommend playing hard-core. It makes you think differently and will make u a better player.
That is so awesome. That has definitely been my experience. The more I test metas and understand them the better my custom builds get. All the theory crafters actually spend time checking out other people's builds and we benefit from that. It's pretty cool.

My first diablo game was diablo 3 and I didn't finish it so diablo 4 is kind of my first real step into the arpg genre. some days I spend more time making builds than actually playing but I definitely find that trying to use other people's builds tends to be a worse experience for me. my last character was a Shadow imbue Barrage build on my rogue and it was the first build I've done just from trying to find what's fun for me. Im unfortunately off to a tough start this season as im trying to run a barbarian for the first time and don't really know if I like any of the shout mechanics very much. they just seem uninteractive and boring. Im trying a bleed build but its frustrating hitting things and not killing them. anyways. thanks for the video!

One thing that bothers me is they won’t stop nerfing things right now for example lightning spear is super powerful but I’ve heard it’ll be nerfed by next season. I don’t play meta so I’ll play a build that’s not very strong then it’s massively buffed a season or 2 later. Well I don’t want to play it again I allready did but it feels like if you want to be ridiculously powerful you have to accept their little flavor of the month game they’re playing and just run whatever everyone else is playing each season cause if you don’t they’ll nerf it and you miss your opportunity to play it while it’s strong. A good example is season 2 ball lightning it was crazy best build in the game but they nerfed it immediately before the next season started so you had 1 opportunity sure you could play it now but it’s like half as good as it was. They’re doing this with almost every skill just drawing them from a hat and making a couple of skills super fun each season and then taking it back. There’s too many nerfs I’d suggest just letting us have fun and make everything broken or balance it right the first time.

Yeah, it's easy when following the build to just do it blindly and then if something goes wrong, players don't know what to do to fix it. So, they feel trapped or just really frustrated because it isn't coming together.
I'm stuck literally at the beginning of the game itself. You talk to the first person, do that little mission, no problem. But then it wants you to do Helltide & get the Mother's Gifts. The problem is, no matter what class or build, the very second I step out of town & into Helltide, I get swarmed & die before I can even think about doing anything at all period. I don't even get a chance to hit a single button/ability at all. I'm just dead immediately. Every single time, without exception period. What gives?!
Should I just be focus on one class? I have created every character just to figure out which one i enjoy more. Only class that i have not level to 100 is a Barb. But the game play for barb seems boring for me.
That's a good strategy if you want to get really good with a class. If you ever get bored you can also jump to another class to break it up and come back when you feel like it. It sounds like you have a good idea of what game play you like, I would trust that.

useless info, give us something more like how many different types of % damage reduction I need to survive 199 lvl(torment) fight, and how many % DMG multiplicators i need to get 10 000 000100 000 000 dmg per hit how scale up what is scaling up, what and where is speed attack working where is not working
Chillax bruh, not useless info depending on who you are. I'm sure there's a ton of more in depth tutorials out there, spend a few minutes searching and stop dismissing something that clearly wasn't targeted at you.
first i don't see how anyone plays for 1000 hours. two if blizzard would STOP FUCKING NERFING MY CLASS! every season they do that garbage and it got old back when they did it in preseason one. they know those characters are so called overpowered so they yank all you built for nothing we only have what 6 classes and they have all been hit they do that and don't give us something on the skills to make up for that. there is no need to say anything we know what they did we are here . they went from having everyone here crashing servers to less than half and the youtubers that were here there is like 3 of the original ones that didn't bounce. point being its not always the people trying to play this game. its the devs screwing it up .they aren't new to this blizzard especially.
I might be on the lower end of hours vs many of the creators. I'm probably closer to 1500+ now and still not very close to Raxx Wudi or Robb. I'm sorry they nerfed your build. Makes sense on the devs they definitely have most of the blame when it comes to the downfalls of the game. I would love to have a drop in creators but right there is a crap load because of the expansion launch. Hope you feel better my friend, but I get ya!

I'm new to Diablo 4, so far I'm enjoying necromancer with the 7 skeleton minions

Blizz needs to implement dual spec on next season. It would make the game a lot more fun. One for farming one for bosses.

I am stuck at Uber Lilith with my Ice Sharder, finally deciding at lvl 100 not to continue. Respeccing and using diffrent paragon boards is no fun.
