Maybe for building a throw around plane it is acceptable, but for building a “nice” plane, traditional covering should be used. Maybe? I tried Doculam several years ago. If memory serves, it does not stretch, making compound curves impossible. Is that correct?
I will try a cub wing tip in a vid as a test. You can heat and pull but it's better to cut and tack in small sections
