I feel like many of the good DT albums get panned by many of their fans. Systematic Chaos, Train of Thought and Dark Clouds and Silver Linings are fantastic
Fuck I'm glad Bradley started off with that Haken riff. That riff was so beautiful, it just dragged me into actively listening to the rest of the video 😅
that opening to dark eternal night is one of my favourite riffs ever, its constantly stuck in my head, same with red light in my eyes part 1 that whole first COB album is underrated as hell
Deadnight Warrior was the first Bodom song i ever heard, I was about 15 and been a fan since, they helped get me into metal along with Pantera but I think I listened to Bodom first. Rest in peace Alexi
Not only is the Haken riff criminally underrated, Haken is surely the most criminally underrated band in progressive metal. Every album is a masterpiece.
Appreciate the Megadeth shoutout! Another one of theirs that I think is horrifically underrated you've also played recently. The outro section of Rust In Peace...Polaris is absolutely killer. Props on that whole album btw, you shredded that
The main riff from Haken - Messiah Complex V: Ecotbius Rex Edit: wrote this before the video started, Holy shit Im so happy to see Haken on this channel
Thanks Bradley for using my heavy fella, the II II II II on this list & for partnering up 🔥🔥🔥 To those watching, I say one thing: demo it in your room free 14 days. It will hit you like nothing else 😎
Alexi wrote so many amazing riffs throughout the Bodom discography, and Red Light Is definitely a great pick. If I'm thinking great deep cut riffs for them, even though the first 3 albums are usually my go-tos, one of the first that comes to mind is Hold Your Tongue from I Worship Chaos.
Stellar track! The title track was also amazing (from I Worship Chaos I mean). RIP Alexi. Glad I got to meet you and see you perform a few times before you left us buddy.
@@micheldeboisAlexi seamlessly incorporated a lot of Bach and Mozart and other classic stuff into his own riffs. He was a brilliant composer in his own right.
The main riff in sabaton's "Ett slag färgat rött" or in english "killing ground" it's both very powermetal-y and ironmaiden nwobhm style gallop thing either way, great (concept) album about swedish kings
tbh opeth in general are outstanding at making riffs. I was also fascinated at how they use all sorts of weird chords instead of powerchords. and they also have an interesting way of making leads and harmonies. really good stuff. for bodom I love all their catalogue despite the fact that some people say the last ones were kinda eh. I love Alexi's riffage and soloing. RIP Legend.
Opeth may not be my absolute favorite band, but if I could only listen to one band for the rest of my life, it would be them. They don't get old. Ironically, I like the middle-later albums more than the early ones.
@@ihsan_lol I don't dislike any if them but Pale Communion and Sorceress for sure. "Cusp of Eternity" on the former is the song that made me love them.
I love all of Opeth's discography but I think Still Life - Ghost Reveries was definitely their peak, especially creatively. That being said, Watershed, Pale Communion, In Cauda Venenum are my favorite later Opeth albums (in that order). @@ihsan_lol
Soilwork - Structure Divine Dark Tranquillity - Rundown Mors Principium Est - Reclaim the Sun / Altered State of Consciousness Darkane - Layers of Lies Morbid Angel - Dawn of Angry Opeth - Bleak Mors Principium Est is generally underrated, so many great riffs, Soilwork's first three albums are rife with greatness in that regard as well.
Judas Priest - Demonizer Iced Earth - Democide Ill Niño - This is War Sabaton - White Death In Flames - Gyroscope Immortal - Withstand the Fall of Time Kreator - Enemy of God Some of my absolute favorite Riffs in these songs. Especially the whole Angel of Retribution Album by Priest has some awesome rythm guitars.
Paint the Sky with Blood, by Bodom after Midnight, the main groove riff. It's just so simple, brutal and driving. It is one of the great gifts Alexi gave us before he left. Edit: Super glad to see Dark Eternal Night, Sylosis and especially Sabaton on here!
Dark Eternal Night was the song that really made me fall in love with Dream Theater. Glad to see it being given some love. Lots of seriously nostalgic riffs on here between DT, Bodom, Necrophagist, Megadeth, Trivium, etc.
Necrophagist have many underrated great riffs - the delayed riff before (and after) the solo of Culinary Hyperversity, the riff after the solo of Ignominious and Pale (underneath the harmonies), the end riff of Diminished to B (easiest Necro riff, still cool), Epitaph's riff before the solo (so sluggish) to name a few.
YES! Those and FOD are probably my favorites, but, in my opinion they don't have "bad" riffs/solos. Had the pleasure of seeing them live twice...it was almost hard to mosh at times because everyone was so busy ogling the musicianship in amazement! During the solos, it was like a group of well behaved music connoisseurs watching legitimate musical virtuosity...then right back into the circle pit lol.
@@amphibeingmcshpongletron5026 Of course they don't have bad riffs. Some of the solos are not as good and memorable as others, but its forgiveable, considering Epitaph is as close to perfection as an album can get.
Seeing Porcupine Tree in a metal video is always surreal, but man that Anesthitize riff has been one of my favourites since I first heard it. One of the most melodic and beautiful drop C riffs I've ever heard, so simple when you break it down but so powerful
The Gods Must Be Crazy, by Periphery. They have so many great songs that it gets a bit overlooked, but that main verse riff is so melodic and rhythmically interesting as well 🤘
@@amphibeingmcshpongletron5026 give an answer can be found a listen by them..the whole album has some fantastic riffs, deron miller’s death metal band world under blood is amazing as well.
Seeing Porcupine Tree on here makes me so happy. Anesthetise is one of my favourite songs, and that moment in the song is a big part of it. Also the best song I've ever seen live.
Great picks. Those riffs in anesthetize, serenity painted death and seabeast are fantastic. There is also one other amazing riff in anesthetize, I think it's in the next section after the one you played, one of my all time favs.
Paradise lost are extremely underrated and no one never mentions them. It's hard to choose a single riff, there are so many of them, but i'll pick I Remain and In Truth from the album Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us. That album is a masterpiece
Big list incoming: . Victory Or Die - Motorhead . Final riff of Sic - Slipknot . Oxblood - Cane Hill . I Am The Vomit - Battlesnake . Renegrenades - Enabler . Jester - Uneven Structure . Bleed For The Crown (breakdown @1:58) - As Paradise Falls . Riot + Lethal Pressure - Lost Society . Basically every single riff in Just As Real But Not As Brightly Lit - Every Time I Die (in particular @0:24) . A quiet place to die - Alphawolf . Extinction - Harlott . Suden Tunti - Moonsorrow . Ghost In The Machine - Void Of Vision
Great list to (re)discover great metal albums, glad to see some Sylosis and Periphery here (even though I would've gone for the opening riff in Reptile), but also you made me want to check out that band 'Abba' on your shirt, they look like a sick black metal act.
Grave Digger - almost all 90s riffs also Threshold, Vanden Plas, Symphony X, Ayreon/Star One are full of sick prog metal riffs at least Symphony X made it to this list, awesome
Great list man! I love these types of videos because it gets all of my metal bros out there sharing their favorite obscure bands and songs and you always end up with great recommendations of shit you never heard before! Here is my criminally underrated riff from a band that a lot of metalheads probably never heard the band is Cadaveryne, the album is Fathering the Apocalypse and the name of the song is Seven, once you hear the main riff you'll never forget it for the rest of yout metalhead life, it's just so uniquely wicked!
Some other underrated riffs from my favorites: Strapping Young Lad- Almost Again Vulture Industries- This Cursed Flesh Ihsahn - My Heart Is Of The North 2 Times Terror - Ikävässä Paikassa Ministry - Khyber Pass (riff in the middle of the song before Al's vocals) Black Label Society - Set You Free Nile - Evil To Cast Out Evil Behemoth - The Satanist (chorus riff) Hypocrisy - Eraser Paradise Lost- Rise Of Denial Fear Factory - Body Hammer
Awesome stuff! You uploaded a video awhile ago playing modern metal and talked about how you mainly listen to more classic stuff (unless I'm completely misremembering) 2:54 was so pleasant to see you blitz through, such an awesome riff. I'm glad that you included some modern prog metal for the representation, truly too fun to play. Cheers!
Yup, I remember hearing my brother play it a couple times but I completely forgot about it until I heard the album and it just unlocked a core memory lmao
That Eternal Rest riff has such cheesy badass energy. I love it. Another off Still Life, the riff going on in the rhythm section during the lead is amazing. Almost would go as far as saying cooler than the lead playing over it.
Real nice of you to mention Teras of Sylosis, surprisingly few people know about them. I'd have definitely included mainly any riff from Opeth - Karma or the opening riff of VÉHÉMENCE - L'étrange clairière pt 2. Nice video, as ever
Loved the trivium and avenged riffs! I feel like anything off of Shogun is super underrated like The Calamity as well as some of the deep cuts off of Nightmare like God Hates Us
some of my fav riffs: Slough Feg - Addendum Galactus Kalmah - Swamphell Eternal Tears of Sorrow - Legion of Beast Ravage - Grapes Of Wrath Pandemonium - Reflecting Mirrors
The first riff I always think of when it comes to awesome metal riffs is "Under the Oak" by Candlemas. It's nothing fancy, but with that guitar tone, it comes across as massive and epic.
Hole in the Sky - Black Sabbath. Been blasting that one the last few days. Also not sure where it ranks among fans but Killing is My Business is a pretty sick Megadeth riff.
Couple of ones off the top of my head in no order: -Stone - Alice in Chains -Jerry Was A Race Car Driver - Primus -Breathing Lightning - Anthrax -Computer God - Black Sabbath -Atrocity Vendor - Slayer -The Ocean Galaktik - Brendon Small -Kammthar - Ultra Vomit (I know it's a Rammstein tribute song but it goes hard, OK?) -Lone Wolf - Judas Priest -Jaws Of Life - John Petrucci -Making A Fire - Foo Fighters -Faith - Ghost -Get On Top - Red Hot Chilli Peppers -It Has To Be This Way - Jimmy Gnecco -Devour - Shinedown -Red Harvest - Vexing Hex -Darkened Majesty - Todd La Torre
Definitely happy seeing Anesthetize on here, my friend is a huge Porcupine Tree fan and that one is one of his favourite songs from them and I love that riff as well. Additionally some other riffs I’d like to include are Kurenai and IV by X Japan, I’m not sure how popular they are outside of Japan but I love those guys and those riffs definitely go hard and it’s fucking awesome
one favorite off the last few albums i listened to: savatage - legions, diamond head - sucking my love, omen - eye of the storm, armored saint - false alarm, metal church - beyond the black, arsis - face of my innocence, candlemass - seven silver keys, praying mantis - thirty pieces of silver, atlantean kodex - lion of chaldea, worm - empire of the necromancers, edge of sanity - crimson (the whole damn album), rimfrost - at the blessing of the damned, sumerlands - the seventh seal ENJOY
Nice riff choices!!! Some of my picks would be: - Conducting From the Grave- Marching Towards Extinction, and When Legends Become Dust - Belphegor- Hell's Ambassador - Severed Savior- Servile Insurrection - Gorgoroth- Sign of an Open Eye, and Teeth Grinding - Decapitated- Spheres of Madness, and Post Organic - Odious Mortem- Fragmented Oblivion, and Domain of the Eternal Paradox - Psycroptic- Initiate - Decrepit Birth- Solar Impulse - Aosoth- Appendix C - Nightbringer- I am the Gateway - Dumal- Lost Caverns - Watain- Sworn to the Dark - Dissection- Where Dead Angels Lie
Serenity painted deaths pinch harmonic riff is the best riff ever. EDIT: didn't even know it was in here at first, Brad chose the wrong one tho eventhough that one is hella sick too
My favourite underrated riffs would be Born of a Broken Man by RATM and Moth by Audioslave. Tom Morello has so many famously iconic riffs but these two never seem to get talked about
OK Goodnight - The Journey, starting up at 0:49 Haken - Messiah Complex IV: The Sect opening riff Also Haken's Beneath the White Rainbow Also super happy about Symphony X being included. I feel like 1/2 of their works could be mentioned and yet they're so unknown.
*Here's some I can think of right off the top of my head.* Gamma Ray - The Winged Horse Wuthering Heights - A Sinner's Confession Mercyful Fate - Last Rites Anthrax - Armed and Dangerous Pursuit - Scourge of Humanity Manticora - In the Abbys of Desperation Chaos in Question - Seven Steps Riot - Warrior Helloween - Secret Alibi

Massive respect for playing Summoning and Porcupine Tree.
My Dying Bride - Like Gods of the Sun

Porcupine Tree - Fear Of A Blank Planet
Alice In Chains - Phantom Limb and A Looking In View
Audioslave - Moth
Can't tell you how happy I am that you included Dark Eternal Night. I feel like that song gets overlooked by a lot of folks.
I feel like many of the good DT albums get panned by many of their fans. Systematic Chaos, Train of Thought and Dark Clouds and Silver Linings are fantastic
DT's only sin was being _too good_ in the 90s. If any other band had written their later music they would be consider godlike.
@@DOSStorm train of thought is a top 3 dt album idk what you mean
The Porcupine Tree and Haken riffs are just perfect
AYEEEE
Fuck yes on the proggy shit. Especially Porcupine Tree.

Fuck I'm glad Bradley started off with that Haken riff. That riff was so beautiful, it just dragged me into actively listening to the rest of the video 😅
Waking The Fallen has some incredible riffs. the entire album is a chefs kiss
that opening to dark eternal night is one of my favourite riffs ever, its constantly stuck in my head, same with red light in my eyes part 1 that whole first COB album is underrated as hell
I agree!!
The dark eternal night's riff is just too groovy
Agree bro
Deadnight Warrior was the first Bodom song i ever heard, I was about 15 and been a fan since, they helped get me into metal along with Pantera but I think I listened to Bodom first. Rest in peace Alexi
Not only is the Haken riff criminally underrated, Haken is surely the most criminally underrated band in progressive metal. Every album is a masterpiece.
and Virus links all their previous albums together in so many subtle ways. Just awesome
Sure Haken is underrated, but I do not think the most underrated in the progressive metal scene. They are one of the most popular bands in the scene.
Nah, the most underrated band in prog metal is Wilderun by far
Frayed ends of sanity riff before solo in Metallica
That’s riff rips through my ears and is an eargasm
Appreciate the Megadeth shoutout! Another one of theirs that I think is horrifically underrated you've also played recently. The outro section of Rust In Peace...Polaris is absolutely killer. Props on that whole album btw, you shredded that
All the riffs from the Youthanasia are CRIMINALLY underrated
@@captDymovподдерживаю. Youthanasia один из недооцененных альбомов в принципе
I always get excited when that riff comes!
What do you guys think of my picks? What would YOU have included??
Tornado Of Souls, Megadeth

The main riff from Haken - Messiah Complex V: Ecotbius Rex
Edit: wrote this before the video started, Holy shit Im so happy to see Haken on this channel
I'd add beast and the harlot by a7x no-one really talks about it
Iron Maiden- Powerslave...
Lake bodom is another great pick from something wild
Indeed, it is
I love COB but this is Bach Invention 13 in A minor BWV784. RIP Alexi you had the best musical influences.
@@micheldeboisAlexi seamlessly incorporated a lot of Bach and Mozart and other classic stuff into his own riffs. He was a brilliant composer in his own right.
The main riff in sabaton's "Ett slag färgat rött" or in english "killing ground"
it's both very powermetal-y and ironmaiden nwobhm style gallop thing
either way, great (concept) album about swedish kings
tbh opeth in general are outstanding at making riffs.
@@IllustriousCrocoduckdo you have any recommendations of their later stuff, stuff after Ghost Reveries?
@@ihsan_lol I don't dislike any if them but Pale Communion and Sorceress for sure. "Cusp of Eternity" on the former is the song that made me love them.
I love all of Opeth's discography but I think Still Life - Ghost Reveries was definitely their peak, especially creatively. That being said, Watershed, Pale Communion, In Cauda Venenum are my favorite later Opeth albums (in that order). @@ihsan_lol
Teras by Sylosis has been my main warm riff for about 10 years now. Great to hear it is still well respected
Hell yes! I was glad to see the mention of both Sylosis and Symphony X
This riff is the my main motivation for the headbanging. Absouletly banger!

The first ascending and then decending Main-Verse-Riff of Nevermore's "Born" is another criminally underrated MASTERPIECE.
Soilwork - Structure Divine
Dark Tranquillity - Rundown
Mors Principium Est - Reclaim the Sun / Altered State of Consciousness
Darkane - Layers of Lies
Morbid Angel - Dawn of Angry
Opeth - Bleak
Mors Principium Est is generally underrated, so many great riffs, Soilwork's first three albums are rife with greatness in that regard as well.
Forgot to mention Nevermore - This Godless Endeavor
1:58 Thank you so much for introducing me to the Summoning. I fell in love with a completely new genre 🤘🏻
That’s so sick you included CKY! I’ve always loved the riffs in: Nuclear Assault - Critical Mass
Coma - Overkill
If you like CKY, you should check out Foreign Objects, the singer’s original band. The song Test It Out has one of my favorite riffs of all time
That last riff in Face of Melinda after the acoustic
Thanks for including Haken, one of my favourite bands ever that DEFINITELY need more recognition
Judas Priest - Demonizer
Iced Earth - Democide
Ill Niño - This is War
Sabaton - White Death
In Flames - Gyroscope
Immortal - Withstand the Fall of Time
Kreator - Enemy of God
Some of my absolute favorite Riffs in these songs.
They have so many great songs that it gets a bit overlooked, but that main verse riff is so melodic and rhythmically interesting as well 🤘
The CKY appearance wasn’t expected deron miller is such an underrated guitarist
Iconic riff without a doubt. Honestly, it's the only riff/song by them I can remember off the top of my head.
Dude, seabeast, and most of the rest of Leviathan have some of my all-time favorite riffs.
I'm happy to see some Sabaton here.
Among my favourite riffs are Balls to the Walls by Accept and Heaven is Falling by Jaded Heart.
Unto Infinite Twilight/Majesty of Infernal Damnation by Incantation, the riff that starts at 4:22
Rorke’s Drift riff always gets the blood flowing
Great picks. Those riffs in anesthetize, serenity painted death and seabeast are fantastic. There is also one other amazing riff in anesthetize, I think it's in the next section after the one you played, one of my all time favs.
Also the riff which is literally one open C string panned from left to right
Yeah, Mastodon used to write some killer riffs. The riff that starts around four minutes into Siberian Divide off of Blood Mountain...crushes.
Paradise lost are extremely underrated and no one never mentions them. It's hard to choose a single riff, there are so many of them, but i'll pick I Remain and In Truth from the album Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us. That album is a masterpiece
Big list incoming:
. Victory Or Die - Motorhead
. Final riff of Sic - Slipknot
. Oxblood - Cane Hill
. I Am The Vomit - Battlesnake
. Renegrenades - Enabler
. Jester - Uneven Structure
. Bleed For The Crown (breakdown @1:58) - As Paradise Falls
. Riot + Lethal Pressure - Lost Society
. Basically every single riff in Just As Real But Not As Brightly Lit - Every Time I Die (in particular @0:24)
. A quiet place to die - Alphawolf
. Extinction - Harlott
. Suden Tunti - Moonsorrow
. Ghost In The Machine - Void Of Vision
I find "Sea of Madness" by Iron Maiden underrated. Few, if any, mention this track when talking about Iron Maiden and it is an amazing riff!
I like the part where it goes clean right before the solo.
screeches from the silence have one of the best riffs i’ve ever heard
I love ur videos Bradley they have inspired me to pick the guitar back up after my surgery. I couldnt have done it with out you.
Flight of the Nazgul into Ea Lord of the Depths is really nice together.
Great list to (re)discover great metal albums, glad to see some Sylosis and Periphery here (even though I would've gone for the opening riff in Reptile), but also you made me want to check out that band 'Abba' on your shirt, they look like a sick black metal act.
dude the instrumental part in reptile is where it goes from periphery to perriffery
Grave Digger - almost all 90s riffs
also Threshold, Vanden Plas, Symphony X, Ayreon/Star One are full of sick prog metal riffs
at least Symphony X made it to this list, awesome
It's always good to see Sabaton getting some attention and not being hated for once
Sabaton gets hate?
@@treestar22 ya think
@@dl_supertroll I rarely ever see sabaton hate. What is it about?
@@treestar22 they think we're Nazis. Also general shit about being posers and not metal enough.
@treestar22 They got too popular, and too many normies like them I guess. I've seen them get a lot of hate in the comments here
I love videos like this. It all flows together like one long song made of the greatest hits, absolutely glorious.
My favorite riffs :
Kingdom of Heaven by Epica
Dreams of Retribution by Arch Enemy (the one that come at 3:25)
Absolutely great 👌
Great list man! I love these types of videos because it gets all of my metal bros out there sharing their favorite obscure bands and songs and you always end up with great recommendations of shit you never heard before!
Here is my criminally underrated riff from a band that a lot of metalheads probably never heard
the band is Cadaveryne, the album is Fathering the Apocalypse and the name of the song is Seven, once you hear the main riff you'll never forget it for the rest of yout metalhead life, it's just so uniquely wicked!
I appreciate that you included one of the coolest Porcupine Tree riffs from Anesthetize! Fairly easy to play yet sounds kinda tricky.
Some other underrated riffs from my favorites:
Strapping Young Lad- Almost Again
Vulture Industries- This Cursed Flesh
Ihsahn - My Heart Is Of The North
2 Times Terror - Ikävässä Paikassa
Ministry - Khyber Pass (riff in the middle of the song before Al's vocals)
Black Label Society - Set You Free
Nile - Evil To Cast Out Evil
Behemoth - The Satanist (chorus riff)
Hypocrisy - Eraser
Paradise Lost- Rise Of Denial
Fear Factory - Body Hammer
Almost Again is a great one
My day has now been automatically made amazing...
Iron Maiden's powerslave riff is underrated...
Awesome stuff! You uploaded a video awhile ago playing modern metal and talked about how you mainly listen to more classic stuff (unless I'm completely misremembering)
2:54 was so pleasant to see you blitz through, such an awesome riff. I'm glad that you included some modern prog metal for the representation, truly too fun to play. Cheers!
The conjuring by megadeth has easily their most underrated riffs
i fucking love the breakdown from the conjuring
Yup, I remember hearing my brother play it a couple times but I completely forgot about it until I heard the album and it just unlocked a core memory lmao
My favorite riff is from Demise of the Clone by Suffocation about halfway through the song. Love that riff so much
That Eternal Rest riff has such cheesy badass energy. I love it.
Another off Still Life, the riff going on in the rhythm section during the lead is amazing. Almost would go as far as saying cooler than the lead playing over it.
Real nice of you to mention Teras of Sylosis, surprisingly few people know about them. I'd have definitely included mainly any riff from Opeth - Karma
or the opening riff of VÉHÉMENCE - L'étrange clairière pt 2. Nice video, as ever
I think a lot of Alex Lifesons riffs deserve more love, I mean the dude was filling the space between Peart and Geddy Lee!
Analog Kid is probably my favorite Rush riff, Headlong Flight too.
3:47 that transition (of my two favourite bands) was sick
I definitely think that the infinitely awesome riff for Vanishing by Lamb Of God deserves more praise. Its's just so good!
So happy to see one of the best riffs of all times of mine- Blood Eagle by Periphery at 2:53!
Big yes to the Dream Theater inclusion, I think that album has some proper huge riffs throughout
1:33 Megadeth/Poison Was The Cure, even better then I remembered!
Loved the trivium and avenged riffs! I feel like anything off of Shogun is super underrated like The Calamity as well as some of the deep cuts off of Nightmare like God Hates Us
some of my fav riffs:
Slough Feg - Addendum Galactus
Kalmah - Swamphell
Eternal Tears of Sorrow - Legion of Beast
Ravage - Grapes Of Wrath
Pandemonium - Reflecting Mirrors
I love these videos because they are a great way for me to discover new music. 😊
Bruh the fact that you put the summoning and burzums riffs back to back and it just sounded like the same riff to me 💀
The first riff I always think of when it comes to awesome metal riffs is "Under the Oak" by Candlemas. It's nothing fancy, but with that guitar tone, it comes across as massive and epic.
From the same album, I would have to go with Blackstone Wielder.
There’s a section in Frayed Ends of Sanity that is clinic in thrash.
Hole in the Sky - Black Sabbath. Been blasting that one the last few days. Also not sure where it ranks among fans but Killing is My Business is a pretty sick Megadeth riff.
And Into the Void as well!
@@danmccarthy2481the intro to into the void sounds so timeless, not just in metal but in music, only Iommi could come up with something like that!
Couple of ones off the top of my head in no order:
-Stone - Alice in Chains
-Jerry Was A Race Car Driver - Primus
-Breathing Lightning - Anthrax
-Computer God - Black Sabbath
-Atrocity Vendor - Slayer
-The Ocean Galaktik - Brendon Small
-Kammthar - Ultra Vomit (I know it's a Rammstein tribute song but it goes hard, OK?)
-Lone Wolf - Judas Priest
-Jaws Of Life - John Petrucci
-Making A Fire - Foo Fighters
-Faith - Ghost
-Get On Top - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
-It Has To Be This Way - Jimmy Gnecco
-Devour - Shinedown
-Red Harvest - Vexing Hex
-Darkened Majesty - Todd La Torre
The children of bodom one is literally a bach piece (invention no. 13). But I agree, it's awesome!
Oh sick, I always wondered what it was from!
That Eternal Rest riff is fire, specially the breakdown part. I would've included Tonight in Flames by Cradle of Filth
Aaaah, that "Anesthetize" goodness is just like a balm for the soul! Thanks, Beanley😌
Something wild is still one of my favorite COB albums, and RLIME pt1 is one of my favorite songs on that album \m/>_

- Aosoth- Appendix C
- Nightbringer- I am the Gateway
- Dumal- Lost Caverns
- Watain- Sworn to the Dark
- Dissection- Where Dead Angels Lie
Seabeast goes hard! Love that song, love that riff. Live it's amazing and definitely a headbanger.
Love the ascending/descending riffs of Curse You All Men!, you would never think they would work together, but they do.
Maybe not underrated since the song is popular, but the pre-chorus riff in “My Last Serenade” by Killswitch has always been a personal fav
That whole song really - love those little fill riffs in the chorus between the phrases.
@@RyanMaziarz Hell yeah, pretty much a perfect song
Serenity painted deaths pinch harmonic riff is the best riff ever.
EDIT: didn't even know it was in here at first, Brad chose the wrong one tho eventhough that one is hella sick too
Sabaton is a criminally underrated band. Even some of their simpler riffs just hit, Dreadnought is a banger
Far from underrated.
Bradley’s taste in music is absolutely exquisite
My favourite underrated riffs would be Born of a Broken Man by RATM and Moth by Audioslave. Tom Morello has so many famously iconic riffs but these two never seem to get talked about
country girl - Black Sabbath
traveler in time - Uriah Heep
the threat - Skid Row
Those are some of my top picks i can think of rn.
The Threat is an absolute BANGER
Heavily appreciate the Mastodon recognition
I was not prepared for that nostalgia wave slamming into me when CKY started at 4:45
Finaly a riff from Sabaton getting some recognition
OK Goodnight - The Journey, starting up at 0:49
Haken - Messiah Complex IV: The Sect opening riff
Also Haken's Beneath the White Rainbow
Also super happy about Symphony X being included. I feel like 1/2 of their works could be mentioned and yet they're so unknown.
The intro of Flourish by the contortionist is underrated imo
Damn dude, this video was awesome. Well done good sir.
Be’Lakor-Valence (The riff that starts at 7:54)
"Carnival is Forever" by Decapitated is one of the sickest ricks I know!
"Relapse" by Polaris, the opening riff sounds like heaven. RIP Ryan Siew :(
Love how they all flowed together! Awesome work as usual!
Daath - Ovum
Anything by Emil & Eyal, really.
BFMV - Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow, Hand of Blood
FFDP - The Way of The Fist
*Here's some I can think of right off the top of my head.*
Gamma Ray - The Winged Horse
Wuthering Heights - A Sinner's Confession
Mercyful Fate - Last Rites
Anthrax - Armed and Dangerous
Pursuit - Scourge of Humanity
Manticora - In the Abbys of Desperation
Chaos in Question - Seven Steps
Riot - Warrior
Helloween - Secret Alibi
