My favorite winter items are knit dresses and knee-high boots.
Love the way you pronounce ‘channel’ as Chanel 😅. I am 69, and basically live riding a bike. So, long coats do not suit my lifestyle. But bikers! One in black leather, one in gold. In velvet: one in burgundy and - a new purchase - one in leopard print. Jeans, jeans and leather or corduroy trousers. Polo necks in a variety of colours. Puffer jackets hate me, so I go for really chunky Scottish wool sweaters with warm lined vinyl leggings when it’s cold and/or wet. A stealth luxury item is a shearling lined denim jacket. Boots - chunky with buckles or more elegant ankle cowboys, in white or snakeskin. Winter done! Love from Sicily
My favorite winter item is my black wool coat from Boden. It's maxi with a lot of space inside, but with a belt outside, so it doesn't make me look big. I'm tall enough to wear it - 176 cm. Wearing such pretty little coats like yours would make me freeze to death. 😉 Hi from the snowy cold Northern Germany. As for this...well all my boots are great for the winter, too. Love my ankle boots an my 2 pairs of knee high boots, but with no high heel. Imagine to stalk around in snow with high heels. We just have to survive snow and ice, and so do our feet.
My favorite winter clothes item is a merino wool turtle neck sweater in a fine knit. Keeps me warm and always looks fab. You look wonderful with your hair up.
Can't go wrong with leather gloves and a beautiful scarf!!

I have black leather gloves that I have had for probably close to 20 years, they are still in excellent condition and are just fantastic 😊 definitely worth the money. I also have black leather boots, both knee high and ankle length, in brown and in black, again pricey to buy but I have had them for years. The last time I bought boots was over 4 years ago. Find a good cobbler and a good leather conditioner and they will last for years and years.
Hands down a long down coat. It's stylish and a life saver in minus 11 celsius degrees in case you get stuck on the motorway in the winter weather 🙂
My favorite winter outfit is my cashmere scarf worn over my trench coat and black leather gloves. Classic and totally me.

Hi Frederique, my favorite winter costume involves a turtle neck and a tweed blazer, with jeans or other pants that fit inside boots. I always feel prepared for any situation in that outfit. I have fun adding belts, jewelry and pashminas. Thanks for your video!

Winter in Scotland is flat cosy boots, big thick cosy winter jacket with a hood or a woollen hat. The good thing is most people look the same 😂 if they look lovely and stylish they are very cold 😂

Frederique, I'm new to your channel and thankful to have found you. I'm learning a lot! I'm wondering if you have any advice for those of us who live in warmer climates? I understand classic clothing can be worn year-round, but are there things to incorporate during these "less hot" months?
I’m looking for a good camel coat & a camel blazer. My issue is that I used to have several quality blazers that I loved but I got out of a career where I no longer wore blazers. So after holding on to them for several years, I moved & purged them. I’m back to needing to wear them again. I had a beautiful camel blazer that I loved & I can’t find one now that comes close to color, fit & quality so I’m sad. I’m still searching though…
I also want a pair of 2 toned shoes in camel/black. But I wear the ankle boots a lot in the winter & I love to wear the taller boots as well.

If you cannot afford hundreds of dollars for a cashmere scarf, get a silk/cashmere pashmina on e-Cay. Fold it lengthwise and then wrap it like she wraps her cashmere scarf. They usually run 15.-60.

I’d rather strap a live turtle to my back than wear a turtleneck. Lmao! Basic or not, if the clothes aren’t to your taste, ladies, it’s okay to skip them. I love a nice winter coat, I’m Canadian lol…but I prefer colour over taupes and browns. Winter is long, and the coat is often all that’s seen here. I use the opportunity to wear a fabulous colourful coat, leather or tweed or wool…but colour.
All this tan and brown and black is a little too morose for me.
