My forehead is as big as an airport so I have always worn side swept bangs to camouflage that real estate, lol. Now that I am 57 yrs old, I find bangs are a more youthful look that is softer against my aging complexion. Let’s hear it for bangs!!! Tips on trimming, blending, maintaining, blow drying and styling bangs would be awesome from you Summer. You are a wonderful teacher 👍🏻
As I’ve gotten older (62) my hairline is receding and my forehead has become more prominent. Bangs are definitely the answer for me, too!
Hi. I used your video on long layering to style my own hair. It’s surprisingly forgiving but taking only a little off at a time to avoid any major error! Thank you for your tutorials they are so helpful.x
I'm so glad!
Summer, you better believe I've been binging on your videos lately but what matters is that when you upload, my day gets even better cause I've used your hair tips especially the ones from beauty school to coach my friends and some of them even asked me to blow dry your hair and I'm totally using your blowout tips, for sure 🙃🙃🙃
Yes bangs!! I just recently cut bangs into my long all one length hair because I got tired of always tucking behind my ears. I started with long bangs and have slowly worked my way shorter as I have gotten used to them and really fallen back in love with my bangs! I don't know why I waited so long to cut them. If you are thinking about it, go for it!!
So fun!!
I'm so blessed to have you our teacher 💞🥰
Hairstyles:
Shag butterfly (ask for movement without removing the weight at my base. Bottom layer to fall down before creating the rest of the layers)
Mid length cut
90s bob (can do blunt or angled)
Bangs
Layered butterfly shag looks great! I will look for it in your library.
thx 4 the language to use when asking for a cut on fine hair, best!
The first thing I do when I go into a hair salon to find a stylist, is to look at how each stylist is wearing their hair….and then promptly walk out! I know they do hair all day long and probably can’t stand to do their own. Thank you for being such an awesome example of expertise!
The first one-with versatile bangs!! Do you have a video about how to do versatile bangs-meaning bangs you can leave forward or sidesweep them?
Butterfly cut for me this coming hair appointment 🎉🎉🎉, thanks, great video.
Yay! Thank you!
Thank you for your time!!
Thank you for watching!
I think the short side bangs are going to be a trend. I always find that they are harder to cut so it will look good in the middle part and in the side part. Perhaps a video on how to make a bang side part and versatile🙏❤️
Hi Summer please do a video on the Bixie cut. Thanks!
Hi Summer. Love your link. Gaby referred you. Can’t wait till the 3 of y’all get together for an episode.
My issue is I have a Pixie. It’s been a few years and anxious to change it up. I’m only 5 months on my grow out. I have thinning and straight hair! Gaby recommended MD Hair. I couldn’t get on and order a kit fast enough!
I’m also going gray. Luckily it’s coming in nicely. Getting so many compliments on the way it’s coming in slowly. I’m turning 60 at the end of this year. Hoping to be able to do something with this grow out by then 🫣 You asked what hair products I use , I use Sebastian 90% of the time. Every now and then I’ll use something friends & stylist recommended but always go back to Sebastian . Thanks so much for your videos and informative content.
Lynda
Thanks for being here! Sebastian makes great products and our collab is coming out on Wednesday!!!! Make sure you follow me @SummerBeautyc for more of these types of videos! I have been wearing bangs almost all my life, combined
with all lengths and styles. Happy to be on trend again 😀 (some years I felt that I am the only person over ten wearing bangs...)
I'm tempted to cut some on myself, but nervous incase I regret it 😂
Hello Summer what's up gorgeous ! Look, I want to be honest with you , as god is my witness . I was indubitably waiting for your next video, whilst i was doing that I scrolled over a bunch of hairstylists whom videos were absolutely lengthy and with a useless intro. I swear to god they ARE NO MUCH FOE YOUR CHANNEL I compared thou to their content and surprisingly I tend to go back to your videos as they are more straightforward, concise, and easy to understand and the results are pretty much the same if not better. So thank you madame for these nice videos I am going to my post graduation training as beautician, make up artists, and hairdresser/stylist. Such an encouragement you are.
Thank you for so much for watching the channel and so glad you enjoy!
Hi Summer, love your video. I have baby fine wavy/curly thinning hair. I use to have a fair amount of hair similar to your volume but I’ve lost about 50% of my hair, more on top area. What hairstyle cut would you recommend and what products could I use to tame my frizzy dry hair that won’t weight it down or look oily? Do you recommend any wig products? Thank you and look forward to hearing from you.
Summer where can I find your top you're wearing? I love it! And your videos! I'm new.
Omg you look amazing! I’m love the bangs on you I have straight midlength thin fine hair. I don’t know what I should do when I go get it cut soon. I want more texture because I have no texture just a flat straight look
Hi Summer. I think I might consider the mid-length hair cut 😁. Loved this video very much💕.
Go for it! Thanks for watching!
❤❤thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!❤❤
Stumbled across your site & it has been very helpful. I've always had thin/fine hair & recently finishing chemo didn't help. I'm ready to cut my hair but I'm worried in trying long layers (shag style), my length is above the shoulder. It appears you have alot of hair even though you mention it is fine. I have thin & bare areas...would a long shag cut style suitable for me?
I think people like more low maintenance styles these days, so the shag/butterfly cut. But the bob will always be in because its so flattering on many people, of all ages and textures. Hello, what bang is best for a diamond shaped face? I always wore bangs as a child, so I would like to have more adult longer bangs now (not saying that bangs are only for kids).
Love your ways Summer! I am a 74 year old that loves messy shaggy hair but now it is thin. What? Also I am "heavy with jowls! What cut? I would like more side bangs. Also my hair is straight and want low maintenance.
Im 47 years old but my hair is so thick ,,when i go to the hairdresser's ,,it takes two people to dye my hair its right down my back ,,but it has gone so grey ,,but the grey hair's are so course .
I always get it tined out and layered . But its so thick ,, i mould like a dog ,the amount of hair's i loose just brushing my hair and i can not wear any black clothing .
I love you're video's .Thank you 💇🏻♀️💇🏼♀️😍
Videos for natural wavy/curly hair, please.
What do you suggest for shampoo’s for fine, thinning , aging hair?
Hey Styles by Summer I love the color of your hair how long have you been doing UA-cam for ? Which do you like better straight hair or curly hair or both?
Hey Jack, thx for watching! Starting my 3rd yr on UA-cam. I like both and straight, I'm super indecisive and can never pick a fav!
Great!
Thanks Jesse!
Hi Summer, I like your Vedios So Much... ♥️♥️♥️
Yay! Thank you for watching!😊
Hello Summer, I love the idea of using the rollers for volume but my hair gets caught up in them. Do you have any suggestions for this problem? As always, I love all your videos.
Some slide out better than others, that's for sure. What brand are you using right now?
@@StylesBySummer Thanks for replying! I’ve tried the Amazon ones, as well as some from Target.
Wanting to try the dry paste you recommend but I'm worried it might weigh my dry, thin and fine hair down. Your hair is much thicker than mine. Currently use Redkin volumizer mouse.
I love the paste, you don't need a lot! You might do well with a regular texture spray
Hello Summer. I am new here. Really enjoy your tutorials and suggestions. I would love it if you were to include some shorter hair styles. Love my velcro rollers, but they make my hair frizzy. Any suggestions to stop this?
Noted! What brand Velcro rollers do you currently use?
I have Babyliss pro. Thank you so much for answering Summer
Hairstylist here. Make sure your hair is wet enough but not dripping wet, comb through the piece of hair so it’s smooth and roll it up. I use a clip on the roller to give it just a little tension and hold it in place. I hope this advice helps!
Thank you! I will definitely try this
My hair was as full as yours but after having Covid I have lost about 50 percent of my hair. Now the hair I have is baby fine and frizzy on my ends even after cuts. Curl won’t stay after curled. Maybe 5-10 minutes at most. Help
Summer, can I do the first look with my fine thin naturally curly hair? I wear my hair straight sometimes also.
You can! I would try and search for what it looks like with a natural curl that matches yours to give you a better idea what it would look like curly.
@@StylesBySummer awesome, thanks! Do I just search for butterfly cuts with curly hair images, or would it be something else?
I want to know where you bought that cute top!
Oh man! It's so old! It's from Express from like 6/7 years ago probably!
I would love to have bangs. But I have a cowlick and even when I get it looking right at first after a few hours it's a mess.
Cowlicks are sooooo annoying!
I’d love to wear bangs but I can’t, I got a cowlick :(
Cowlicks do make things difficult!
Can you recommend the absolute best hair dryer for my hair? I have gray frizz-prone hair that I color my original color (dark brown). My hair is thick but fine and wavy in texture and tends to be drier and frizzy. It's past my shoulders but not super long. Thank you
So many options! Do you have a price point you're looking to stay within?
@@StylesBySummer I’ve been saving my pennys. 😃 More important than price is what will work the BEST for my hair. Thank you!.
I really like your hair! Is it possible to style it all going BACK instead of the bangs going back and the rest going forward around your neck? Is that an entirely different haircut? If so, what's that called? I like long hair with long layers all the way around that go back, NOT forward. NOT big 90s curls. Does anyone know what to call that? I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows. Thanks!
A Farrah Fawcett? Feather bangs?
I’ve been cutting my own hair since before COVID. I start the trends. Everyone follows me. I’ll let you know what’s next
Where can we find the cutting tutorial that you did on yourself?
It's in the description!
What is the name of your haircut in this video
i love you summer
Just as long as we see the back of that horrible wolf cut LOL. I think all the 90s inspired styles are going to be trending for a bit because we all need glamour and volume after the years of quarantine. The fullness and bounce of those styles and the thicker, squarer baselines feel more luxurious and dense.
Can't argue with that!
Bangs are a no-go for me. I have a very oily complexion and fine hair. The bangs just stick to my forehead. I do love a good bob though - always.
Color for mature women
I'm have a video planned coming up that tackles this topic a bit!
@@StylesBySummer I will definitely be on the lookout ☺️🙏 thank you!! ❤️
Fine hair is alright.
I have never so identify with someone when it comes to fine hair
Fine hair can be quite challenging at times!
Your hair is not thin...may be fine, hard to tell in a video. But then, nope. The haircut doesn't make it look. thicker, if. it were thin, a layered cut would have the ends super thin.
