For those that replaced the thermostats oil and coolant, and replaced or flushed the radiator, of all those failed check your air cooler.. and also check your turbo I know because I did that and my issue was resolved. Water pump was good..
I have changed the thermostat in my 2017 freightliner also changed the reservoir it continues to lose water and run hot but when it’s just idiling it’s reads regular temp
Francisco my ac compressor pomp sometimes release pressure freon, I think that happens when the fan still is off, what do you think could be, a sensor? Let me know what you think pls, thanks

yo tenia ese problema con mi troque. el problema era el conector del sensor de alta presión de aire acondicionado. yo le recomiendo que le remplace ese enchufe.
I did everything you said and I replace everything in the parts you just mention. It was the same tell my mechanic figure out the mystery which is oil cooling kit .
Can you give me more details. I have the same issue. When going up long hills loaded. I've changed everything he mentioned and still have the same problem. Would oil thermostat cause this?

I have a question. I have a 2019 kenworth Cummings engine. It's overheats to a temperature of 230 to 250. My mechanic said he switch the thermostat. Can you tell me what other problem it can be?
Those trucks have an oil thermostat and the stock thermostat is usually a 236 or 246 degree thermostat people been changing them to a 216 degree thermostat and solves there problems
Healthy isx15 with stock oil thermostat wouldn’t have oil temp problems in hottest day pulling heavy loads in mountains, that’s just masking real issue what can be bad oil cooler, water pump, dirty or clogged rad, sticky thermostat, weak fan clutch, bad belt tensioner or simply engine full of soot…..or other internal wear…
@LEVEL777UP Installed PDI Oil cooler unit that contains 2 coolers rather than 1. It definitely helped. Temperature goes 225-230 which is good but I'm still working to bring it down to at least 210-220
My w900 is showing overheating on coolant temp gauge, and d rate and shut down, but the oil temp is only 205, so it can't really be overheating, replaced the sensor, still same thing

Also check for air leaks to the clutch. I can hear a air leak when you put the camera close to the truck.

What if it's running too cold? Coolant light on dash because of temp cold.

My trucks temperature will be perfectly fine but it'll shut off and the water temp will come on could this mean faulty coolant sensor??

Hello Francisco can the engine oil be 240f and water temperatures stays at 180f all the the time while driving even on light loads

It’s not normal. The air is supposed to be cooled as the turbo sucks in cool air from outside the engine compartment.
You will get hot air until it passes through a intercooler which I don’t know if that engine has one from factory as I have a x15 565 and not the isx

Well my engine have diesel in the antifreeze
Water pump might have gone bad. So the coolant is not flowing as it should.
My engine fan stays on most of the time is it the coolant sensor?
check your high side ac switch, and the type of truck you have makes a huge difference on where to look
