  • At the moment I'm lucky enough to be testing about 10 different surfboards which means i need to surf A LOT! Whilst up on the east coast I scored a bunch of sessions like this with low crowds and great waves. I'm very lucky :)

    2:05 underrated behaviour: calling someone into a wave because you cant make it and watching him catch it and go yew! We need more people like you in the line up :)

    I really like/respect the way you don't post break/location names. Wish everyone would follow this rule instead of shilling every spot out (for what benefit I'm still not clear on).

      Always committed to this it would be a shame to disregard the wonderful explorative aspect of surfing by naming spots. People should explore and learn their areas :)

    Digging your quad set up, the middle fin is a drag!

    • @greatbriton8425
      @greatbriton8425 11 місяців тому +1

      What I like about a middle fin is it holds continuously giving you consistency. It slows your turns down into a nice arc while using the leverage to retain forward speed instead. I think. So you carve when you slash and it's more graceful and sexy and leads you into what the wave is doing next, instead of you just having a frantic splish-splash with your body remaining still above the board like someone having a leg fit. At least that's just how it feels and looks to me. No offence! :)

      @@greatbriton8425 depends on the board and the wave,it’s like a set of golf clubs for me. I switch it up

      @@50yroldgrom Yeah I get you :) But TBH there was only one occasion in my life, one punchy little wave, where I preferred a twin fin. Never rode a quad to be fair. But also I had a magic thruster that read my mind, so was never really looking elsewhere, even after I broke it, kept searching for a re-make, never found it. :(

    Hey Kale when getting a shortboard do you usually go with a shortboards smaller/shorter than you or taller than you? If so by how many inches smaller?

    Hi Kale. I am beginner/intermediate surfer at the moment. Do you think the Album Lightbender would be a good choice of surfboard to progress my surfing. Also to basically use it as my daily driver. Or maybe even the Sunstone. They are expensive so I wouldn't want to choose the wrong style of board. Cheers Glenn.

    Maybe it’s just me, but the pov surfing video, from anyone, is so boring. It translates about zero the joy of actually surfing when compared to a beach view of a surfer on a wave. Visualisation of being on the wave is almost zero too.
