Love this POV stuff. It just gives great vibes and insight in how it really is to surf. I'm a kiteboarder (mostly on a nearby lake so no surf), but really wanna try surfing sometime again. Certainly after seeing this. It's such a pure thing. With kiteboarding the wind is always blowing hard, sometimes with surfing there's this serenity , really cool. Thanks for uploading
I got skunked really badly when I was there back in 2016... I had to hitchhike part of the way cuz there were no buses going there. So glad to watch you score!!
Especially given that there is literally fuck all around that area for 30-60 minutes. God bless their souls though because I live somewhere else in Central America and the waves are better and the crowds are lesser.
Doing your best to get through the back of it helps and diving through the back as early as possible helped me. Sucks if the waves too big though because then you’re going over the falls after you jump through. You’re never going to 100% be sure of yourself being safe in a barrel wipeout the waves folding over on you.
Yes, Kale if you can do a video showing how to properly fall in a barrel, or punching through the back, that would be amazing. What would be even better is if someone could take video underwater of you falling in a barrel to see what you do with your body when that happens 🤙🏼
You're going so fast!! Im a begginer trying to get better so i'm watching your channel a lot 😅. Also how can you paddle into these waves with a shortboard and such ease?
Spent about a week there 10 years ago and it was really quiet then, just the 4 guys I was with, occasionally there might have been a couple of others but that was it
Stop being selfish. Did you ask the local community if they don't want the tourist dollars that surf tourism brings? Or are you just assuming what you want is universal? You don't have ANY right to ANY spot. Simple as that.
@@doublestrokeroll Nothing to do with me. At the request of the local surf crew (not camps ran by expats, but citizens). Went there in 2015 as part of a bodyboarding crew. Great waves but pretty lawless back then. Chief of Police shot dead on his doorstep whilst we were there.
Yes. He does. Stop being selfish and understand that whole communities benefit from the dollars surf tourists will bring in. It's not just about you. You don't own spots. They're not "yours". EVEN if you're a local. So fucking sick of this attitude.
Just because you’re “in the spot” or deeper, doesn’t mean you should go. Be aware of others and how much you’re taking. We get conditioned to this mindset that if you are deeper you have the right to go. That’s not the case if you just got one. This is tough when it’s inconsistent. Take turns and don’t be overly aggressive trying to catch every wave just because you can. And don’t get mad if youre visiting and a local is taking more than their fair share. That’s just how it works

Come to Oregon to. Catch some gnarly surf with max 20 ppl
I think its a shame Kale names these breaks for his audience - only makes it worse and i doubt he'd do the same for his local spots
This spots been blown up. Its one of the most popular spot in Nica. Obviously not a secret
Can you explain a little about safety in barrel wipeouts? I’ve been struggling with small injuries with this one

Priority number one is to fall away from your board
That boards looks lively under your feet!! love the POV 🤌🤌
I was there four years ago. Chancletas is a great beach resort, and the Boom waves were fun.
Thank you for taking us with you to Nicaragua!🤙🏽

Right on!
That missed wave Kale! 😭 The second barrel you got at 5 minutes in looked nice. Perfect morning for it.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Big shout out to Shay, Loretta, and Sushi! A little anonymity would be considerate though. We don’t need a Bali #2 on our hands.

Love to see you calling old mate out at 4:45. Sticking to your guns!
Lol communication is key and he was very friendly about it
Saw that too, I think we all get into frenzy mode especially when you’re on fire. Glad it was friendly.
Amazing surfing 🎉
My buddy trips out there sometimes, the locals are surprisingly nice and very clean swells
love the vids man

Every surf vlogger names spots, pros too. Nothing is hidden anymore. 15-20 years ago it was much different but nowadays Fuhgettaboutit
Why’d you call out that dude saying he got that last one? He was better positioned than you wasn’t he?
Because he got the last wave and paddle back out and was trying to skip the priority
Lucky he wasn’t a local then… 😂

You tell them mate 😂
Lol
German!
So you surfed the boom and didn't get a barrel 😂
So much skill I don't have lol
I hope that you enjoy the surfing. But how can visit Nicaragua and ignore the obvious oppression by Ortega's government?
Not my position to comment I don’t have enough context
