Guys, so sorry about your forced early relocation to the boat; however it just makes your coming episodes even that much better as we see you cope with your current circumstances. I loved seeing how you were using building materials as a table and a box cutter to slice tomatoes - now that is true coping. Your channel just keeps getting mo betta and my prayers relating to your increased coping will now begin in earnest. Thanks for keeping your subscribers entertained and seeing how to roll with the punches of life as they come our way. Oh yeah, Barney keep your people between the canal banks.

A dehumidifier would be a good addition anyway but a gas cooker generates water vapour in addition to Carbon monoxide, so ventilation for the cooker is vital.

You are doing great by keeping your sense of humor and optimism. Everything that doesn’t kill us makes us stronger! But the usage mode for Bluetti should be like this: you charge it from the generator for 1 hour, use it until you see 20-25% charge left. Then turn the generator on again for an hour. Still, you need to set up either a diesel heater or a stove. You can handle it all!🎉

First thing gets decent size wood stove that has a window so you can shut down and still see the flames,,,it would be also very good if you can do basic cooking on the burner ,living on the boat now will see it come together a lot quicker and whilst it’s a bit earlier than intended you will look back and realise just how much you’ve enjoyed it

Me and my wife were in this scenario years ago. Camping on a narrow boat. It's not ideal and very tough whilst working on the boat at the same time. I'm glad we went through it, and it WAS worth it. It makes us really appreciate all the convinces of living in a house now. Having said that, I wouldn't have changed it for a minute. At least you have a bigger boat, which will help. Keep chipping away. You will get there.

We packed our roof racks up like that, tied them down, really hard, gave them a shake. Yep all solid, at least until we got onto the motorway and the small ones (like the ones that you had on the bottom) slid off the front. Thankfully it was the front, the back and it would have hit cars behind us. At least you’re not homeless, bright side, many people are. Good luck. 🥰

You guys may want to look into getting something like a Webasto diesel heater for your boat BEFORE all the interior walls (and ceiling) are up. It would make it a LOT easier to run the duct work. Of course I have no real idea what the delay is between what you are doing and the release of the videos 🤣🤣 As others have said, at least you guys have an option after losing your rental place!

A bit of a shock regarding your domestic situation. But then, needs must when the devil drives, as they say. It's a cheaper alternative, to having to find somewhere else to live, I guess. But then, on the positive side, it does mean better security of the boat, plus getting a feel for the place.

    Hello,
You three are fantastic! Many of your subscribers will have made suggestions. May I suggest that you employ shopfitters to come in and erect your wall partitions, they could possibly have it finished in two or three days! In the run up to Christmas no shops want shopfitters in, therefore they could be readily available.
    Hope I haven't upset you.
    Kind regards

Oh my, forced camping on your boat while it's still under construction! Sorry to hear of your vastly changing circumstances; that's tough, and with winter coming on! This time in your life will definitely be an unforgettable learning experience.
When constantly being in cold weather, please keep warm but, especially keep your head warm, especially while sleeping. In this environment, it's surprisingly easy to come down with a sinus or respiratory infection.
As others have mentioned, look into getting an 8 kW diesel air heater (also called a parking heater). These are made for camper vans, are quite low cost, and use fuel sparingly. Get one with a built-in fuel tank. There is some setup required; the intake air and exhaust from the burner must be run outside. You will need to attach a 12 volt power plug (the type used for car 12 volt power). These only pull about 3 amps of 12 volt power so, can easily be powered from your Bluetti.
Electrical appliances that heat use huge amounts of power, you may need to get a second Bluetti or, a camp stove, or butane burner.
If you can afford it, lodge in a hotel once a week and go out to eat often. I wish you the best!

Eliminating inefficiency and losses may be one are of focus....imo. Usually the first 100mm of insulation provides your best returns v cost (ROI). Thereafter the ROI drops off. The next is inefficiency. Going from your fuel source (diesel/gas/solar) directly to heat is the best option. Obviously your fuel type has its own specific levels of embedded energy i.e. calorific value. Gas or diesel to heat has its challenges like exhaust gasses (dangerous🚨) and condensation may be an issue so ventilation is key. What I am trying to say....is it takes a few variables so think before choosing but I can see stupidity is not one of your traits. You are on a learning journey and that has its own challenges but you got this guys 💪🏽

I love to see your progress each time. I went through something similar years ago when my ex sold our home in town & forced us to live in a tiny camper for 4 years while we built a new home in the country. We DID freeze our tails off in the winter! You two seem to have a much better relationship and should do better. Stay warm! I look forward to your next episode!

You could also go to some of the homes & boats nearby and tell them what's going on and ask them to check in on you occasionally. It'd make me feel better 😂 and maybe you'll make some new friends with a shower....❤

Wow, seeing the size of the King size bed in place gives a wonderful scale of the length of your boat.

a slow cooker. you can just wop everything into it in the morning and you will have something substantial to end the day. or a microwave of course. oh - and from the previous episode, to 'have your oats' can mean something else in the u.k.! 😆
