they left out the important part, takes p320 mags not 2011 mags
What are 2011 mags ;)
Series 70 has no firing pin safety... Series 80 is where that was introduced. So this gun either has no drop safety whatsoever or it's actually a series 80 not a 70.
yes wish they youngsters would learn
Grip safety on the 1911 was a requirement of the Govt. Contract.
Ya beat me to it......J.M.B. did it quite well considered it was an afterthought.....
This must be one of those "if you have to ask how much it costs you can't afford it guns". It's nice looking, an affordable 3.25" model would be awesome.
I yield all my minutes to "magwells". I wanna be sure you realise they are not a permanent feature, they are remoooovable! They are also interchaaaaangable!
Those magazine wells just throw me for a loop every time I see them
please check, Series 70 no drop safety, Series 80 has the drop safety.
Wait, what did he say about which has a firing pin safety?
2:44 A good guy with some stippling is the only way to stop a bad guy with some stippling, change my mind.
Not crazy about those built in thumb rests. It's going to make holster choices a challenge. Otherwise, very cool new product.
It’s an easy adjustment to make on any Kydex. Just need a heat gun or hair dryer and 5 minutes. Or just buy a Tier1 MSP for whatever light you put on it. I like the thumb rests on my compact. Just wish it had some texture on the grip
@@JimSkeltonKnivesthanks for leaving that comment.
I was thinking about getting a new takedown lever for my vp9. Thought better of it due to holsters.
Thanks to your comment. I can just use the heat gun, duh!🤦♂️
@@matthewbeaver5026 best of luck to ya and enjoy!
'We cant catagorize our pistols correctly, please take us seriously'
Yeah, all that fumbling around with what is standard terminology was weird.
Staccato owns.....as in has trademarked 2011...... being a competitor company, he actually can't say it's a 2011... that's why they call it 2311.....
@@kevinabrooks73 that's not the issue.
Really like what I see out of this comany so far. Will wait and see how they prove out in time. This comany just seems a little unorganized. Last year at SHOT that guy they had talking seemed......off. Now they did not even bring an X300 light to show how the holster fits.
Msrp?
No msrp, can’t afford that. But, I do buy stuff from BCM👍👍👍
Grip safety was for horseback cavalry.
We don't ride horses and shoot guns anymore so do away with it.
Love that it uses a common magazine, Love that it's ambidextrous, And they didn't even talk about how lightweight it is at only 26 oz
This puts any other 1911 to shame that are stuck in the past repeating the same old news with nothing to offer but nostalgia.
Grip safety is not dumb and I like it geek!
Hmmm. Series 70 trigger with a firing pin safety….. nope. Try series 80.
When did they change their company name from Oracle Arms to OA Defense??
It's Oracle Arms in the background, must be changing it in the future... probably what happens when you name yourself identical to one of the biggest software companies in the world.
Just announced during this SHOT.
I heard this was a modular frame like a 320, is there any truth to that?
I like 1911s
Duck lips?
WTH is a 2311?

@@kevinabrooks73 ok thanks for the answer.
🥱
1911 grip safety was installed because the army required passive safeties because they use to ride horses back in the time.
Grip safety isn't dumb and yes you do need it. Only people who are not cofident in a 1911 safety would say that. I bet your grand pappy didn't say that.
