    I have seen Rob fly in many airshows. His show is just awesome. Nice to see what happens in the cockpit and see what he sees. I already had respect for what he does. Now even more so. Keep up the good work Rob and THANK YOU for all your hard work !!

    OK.. I'll own it.. This has to be hands down and away my favorite UA-cam video..
    The more i learn about flying the more I'm impressed with the precision and absolute situational awareness shown here..
    This is a combination extreme unusual attitude recovery seminar and abb workout.. :D
    I've never seen an air speed at zero.. And frankly, if Im not on the ramp I'm good with that..

    I just saw him perform this weekend at the Blue Angels Air Show in Key West. He performed alone and with his Firebirds partner. He was amazing. A lot of people go to air shows for the fighter jets only... after this weekend, I would go just to see his performances.

    That finish is easily some of the best stuff I have ever seen in aviation. The setup and touchdown alone are epic but throwing in an intentional bounce and low level-low speed roll is an epic cherry on top.

    This guy is just amazing. I look forward to seeing him and his crew at Geneseo (Greatest Show on Turf) each summer, as he accomplishes things in planes that don't look like they'd ever be possible. Would be cool to see a real-time "Gee" graph in the corner of the video to get an inkling of the punishment your body is going through in those routines, by seeing which way you're getting pulled around and by how much... With the cheap accelerometers in pretty much everything (phones) these days it might be possible... Thx for the vids!

    ...And this is why I'm getting my pilots license. Still on the first step, but if I could reach the slightest threshold of his level of skill, my life would be fulfilled beyond my expectations. Super awesome vid.

    • @drpando
      @drpando 4 роки тому

      AAA181 - getting your license is not the issue - being a millionaire to afford and having all day to do what these guys do is a different story. No one ever talks about what these people started out with to do this. Usually when they do occasionally talk about it, it's "my father/grandfather/ family is an aviation family, and I've been doing this since I was little, I solo'd at 16 and got my pilot's license at 17..." . Poor people don't have access to this. Want another example of this, look up Matt Guthmiller. Another example of an entitled kid with disgustingly-rich parents. His claim to fame? Flying around the world at age 19. I guess he mowed a lot of lawns growing to save for that, right? Yeah, right....
      Get rich first my friend. Then go fly.

    I watched Rob perform his aerobatic routine at the Pocono Raceway in PA on May 28, 2013. I have been to many air shows and can say that Rob puts on the best acrobatic performance I have ever seen! His aircraft is built to handle 16 g's, positive and negative. His show probably gets him close to those limits. Fantastic!

    • @davidlathrop7132

      his MXS RH is probably more suited to his type of flying actually lol. Jets are laggier to throttle change and more suited to flowing turns and not rough back and fourth like this. Theyre bigger and overall clunkier, kinda like muscle cars vs a subaru, muscle car is faster but subaru is more suited to tight winding roads. It would be hard to do the tight stalling turns and flat spins in a jet.

    That was amazing, well done. Quite inspiring to me as a noob rc plane owner. I am going to watch this again and again. Right now! I like the music with the video. And I was surprised to see him grab the stick with two hands once and awhile. Crabbing inverted was awesome. Wow, what balls it takes to do that so low to the ground. I doubt you will see this Rob , but I was wondering if you felt you made any mistakes in this routine? Because if you did , you handled it well and went on with the routine. Sorry Rob, I have only one gripe with this spectacular video, I couldn't see you move the stick the hole time.

    Wow. That MXS does 500 degrees-per-second rolls! Snap rolls. Lomcevak. I tried my best to figure out the "box" he flew inside. It looked to me like his angles were off if he used a runway as a reference. But, wow. And no notes on the instrument panel; all in his head! That landing sure surprised me, too.
