FLASHING LIGHT WARNING: After the unboxing I give a bit of a tour of some of our legos and I turn on a light that flashes a bit. Please take care. This takes place after the unboxing.
I got the chestnut, it's GORGEOUS!! I also agree, a shawl is best... I've yet to like the offered patterns &I'm also a chart person. Don't really need the plastic stitch markers, I got 100 for about $2 from wish. 🤷♀️ Yay, Rogue!!!! I used to live in Newport OR where it's brewed. ❤️
Love watching you all the way from South Africa your chats are fantastic and I really appreciate how you give your opinions and the animated way you chat - keep up the good work, I wish I could order your yarn but you don't ship internationally :(
I ship some things internationally - send me a message on Etsy and I'll see what I can do. I haven't checked if I'm allowed to ship to South Africa yet but I can double check if you message me there.
Hey Rebecca! One thing that will help with the kids is keeping them to the schedule they already are on as much as possible. This will be much harder to do with your husband home as well. Some would think with him being there too would make things easier to to, but no such luck there! It has a very good chance it could just double your trouble! With him also working from home, he has scheduled he needs to follow and then structure around his work time, and that require things that could interfere with your work schedule and the kid's schedule, example: when he is on some conference calls he requires silence in the rest of the house because too much background noise can change the temper of that call and could affect the business he is trying to complete. Kid's noise and business conference calls do not make for a good impression! When it's you and us on the go, most of us are, or have been, parents and we understand that while you are working with us we know there will be times you will need to tend to something unexpected with them, example: one of your boys announcing they need to go potty, or they are too antsy to stay in their room for the required nap time. We get that! Sometimes business people do not! There are so many variations to coordinate some will crash right into each other! It is going to take patience (which you are very good at by the way!), calmness (which is not always the same thing!), and a very big clock with the schedule displayed right beside it!!! Things that need the time to be cut in stone: conference calls, meals and bed times, and times that can be rescheduled. Not so easy! The more you can stick the the schedule the less the anxiety on you. And don't forget, you can always jump on to a stream and there will always be some of us around that you could talk to! We love you Rebecca, so "take care of you" too!
The kids are doing so well, thankfully. We're actually taking a more relaxed approach to schedules. Some things are standard like wake up and bed times etc, but we're going for as much education by play as we can and really let the kids drive the activities. We tried to make a schedule at the beginning of last week, but it was upended by Ryder's zoom preschool times which shift a bit each day. So we're trying for flexibility. Keith's office is up on the 3rd floor (our finished attic - we don't have a basement) so when he's on calls we've got a good buffer between our play and his work. This weekend he played with the boys up there (a lot with these boxes lol) so that way I could film a bit. The hardest part for me is that I can't have the kitchen set up for dyeing for 8 hours - a lot of back and forth. We'll figure it out.
It's 50% off in the shop for members! Plus an additional discount on the 20th of the month. Makes it easier to pick up additional skeins for garments (or buy all the colors).
When I take photos front facing through my phone they end up backwards. This happens when I do last minute livestreams (and don't flip the photo first.)

My husband saw the cover photo and wanted to know why you were backwards.
