Thanks for sharing all your happy mail. I have done quite a few of your crocheted shawl tutorials which I really enjoyed. You are an excellent teacher showing how to do the tutorials. You did a good job on your embroidery. Take care.😀
Beautiful soap and so thoughtful. Gosh all your gifts were so thoughtful!! You are always so gracious in accepting the love sent your way. I love your reviews...honest and to the point. We can always count on your integrity!! Hope your finger is ok! Take care, be safe and as always such an enjoyable visit to your channel.
The Mandala embroidery is GORGEOUS!! I didn't know it existed. I SO want to do one, but with all the crocheting and yarn I have, don't when I could get to it. (I"ve been embroidering since I was 9 yrs old: That's 66 yrs!) You always make me laugh/smile and you brighten up the day. :-)
I wish I lived in a world full of people like you. I love listening to your voice. Love your readings and crochet, perfect combo. Really wish you had a podcast!
Omg. You got some marvelous things. I use to do needle point. I made my daughter's first baby blanket in needle point. It was so much fun but they do need to make something for are fingers. Lol. The needles aren't very good. I bought my own plus the thread as well. I so enjoy your video's. Your laugh is so warming and it feels like I'm there with you. Lol. We need this right now. Good laughter and kindness. I love your projects that your into. Yay. Keep them coming. Please stay safe and happy. 😙😙😙😙🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😊😊😊😊😊😊😊💟❣💙💗💖💓❤
Beautiful yarn yummy, love the soaps. Sad that the needle punch didn't work. Love what you did with the cross stitch. Awesome pins, those were an WOW moment. Please be safe. Thank you for sharing.
I enjoy watching you on u tube. I like you teaching us all about different yarns. Your crocheting is beautiful. I try to watch you so teach new thing of crocheting. I love your design. I do crochet but I don't read pattern. I can look at picture of item get idea in my head. For the crocheting I do knit it been long time ago. Going to teach my self knit socks. Wish me luck. You are very nice man enjoy watching teach other.
Hi Fiber Spider 🕷 Have watched you for a while and watched some of your tutorials, which are brilliant, and have now subscribed to your channel. Thank you for being such a good teacher and for being so clear about what to do . Take care and keep safe.🤗
Alice in wonderland it’s my favorite also, I am glad we have something in coming, other than knitting, I enjoy your tutorials and your sense of humor!!
Hello! Loved the happy mail! I tried punch needle back in the 90's and had issues. I spent a lot of money on supplies and didn't even use it but a couple of times. I may have to try it again. Thanks for sharing!
Next time you find a design even one you find and like to modify I suggest carbon paper . It works wonders and washes off . Place cloth , carbon paper ( black side down ), then design and trace . You can also find white carbon paper . Very common in pottery and ceramics.
I was gonna suggest the same thing I use them in sewing projects to trace all kinds of colors available. I flopped at needle punch. I'm Sticking with crochet for now. 😊 Thanks for all you do. Fun video to watch. 🤗
Wow you opened my box with soaps!!! So exciting!!! My daughters and I are very happy that you like them! They are all detergent free. Also, thanks for your advise about exfoliating soaps. I already have coffee soap in my etsy but working on different ones. The last one you unpacked was made from scratch and only I make it due to safety concerns for kids. It is so much fun!!! Thank you! Stay safe 😊
Thank you so much! They all smell great and are beautifully made! As I suspected, my mom was so jealous lol. Keep up the great work, and best of luck with your business! 😊🕸🕷🧶👍
Let me tell you that I have crocheted your shawl tutorial. It turned out really great 👍❣️ This is my favorite season also because it’s getting kind of cool. In Florida it gets too hot for most of the year. Thank you for your tutorials❣️💖
I love to embroider and cross stitch. one of my quirks is i like to keep the patterns so i make copies. and as for hoops i dont used them anymore there are these awesome pvc pipe frames called Q-Snaps... omg game changer.... it keeps the fabric where its supposed to be!!!
I discovered punch needle embroidery wayyyyyyyy back in 1990 at a major craft show here in the UK, the kits and accessories were brilliant (they didn’t include the hoop as far as I recall though as I was already a cross stitcher it didn’t matter to me). I still have the tools and even some of the kits I bought back then, the company was called Webster’s Punch an English cottage industry which I believe is still around as I have just found them on Etsy, I don’t know if they ship internationally but if they do I DEFINITELY recommend giving their kits a try.
Yes weavers cloth is what you need. 90s best kits i've worked with was called purrfect punch. No, you don't use wooden hoops for punch embroidery, you need to use the plastic, fiberglass ones. And pull tight enough that it sounds like a drum.
Hi Craig, Love watching your shows, you always make me smile and have a laugh ( in a good way 😀). When I was learning embroidery and using the wooden frame, we were taught to wrap strips of calico around the inside ring. That forms a grip on the fabric and also helps prevent leaving a circular mark being left on the fabric when it is removed from the frame. Hope this is helpful. Keep up with great work, you make my day.❤ Best wishes from Australia. Christine
“Stay, sit,be good.” 😆 I say the same thing when things don’t stay where I put them! You are so adorable! That is so generous of Johanna! Oh my the fibre spider soaps are amazing! A really great 🎁 Scrubby Dabby Soaps!your needle work is so pretty 🤩!
Hi Craig, I love watching you open your mail. Can you show please us how you store all your yarn 🧶 ? I’m always trying to get new ideas how to be more organized with my yarn. Hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs Liz
Hi Graig, Enjoyed your podcast as always . You were the first u tube video that I watched. Someone on Knitting Paradise shared a link to you about a stitch I was wanting to learn , so I tuned in and have been a fan ever since! Your embroidery is superb! Mine never looks like that on the wrong side. Thank you for all you do!
Hello, what a great video. I love the soaps. A couple tips for some of the challenges you ran into. Hydrogen Peroxide removes blood stains, even dried ones although it is better to treat it right away. I use carbon paper (also called tracing paper for younger people who have never had to use it to type duplicate documents) by pressing firnly with any pointed object the lines will be transfered to the fabric or paper without the need to use light. Works quite well, is cheaper than a light box and more comfortable than trying to use a window. I do enjoy your videos! Thanks so much.😀💗
Love your channel Spider. Regarding happy mail there is a crochet lady called alison russell crochet channel she gets amazing yarns in happy mail. I think she gets the most yarns sent to her from her followers on youtube than any other on here.
Recently started to crochet and so glad I found your channel. I love your bright and d cheerful personality and you make me smile. I have just finished making your spider shawl and although it could be better, for a fairly new crocheter I'm pleased with it. Love all your gifts, it's obvious you have a lot of lovely people following you. I look forward to watching more but where do you get the time to do all you do ☺️. Thank you, from England.
Hi Craig, I love your happy mail, that was so thoughtful . The Mandela embroidery is so beautiful, so many pretty colors. I am currently working on your waffle stitch hat in the gray ombre from Red Heart. It's for my husband for the winter, I love it. Thanks for all you do, you are a great teacher. Have a blessed day.
Now that was some happy mail! Just wow! I also have an affinity for anything wasabi LOL... Let me know how you like the peas.. almost got the same ones the other day... they look so yummy!. The soaps were delightful, and so very pretty! Anyhow... I'm heading off to bed here... it's after midnight, and normally I'm up anyhow, but tomorrow is my long day at work.. bleh! Thank you for all you do.. Stay safe!
Hi spider your embroidery work is beautiful , shame about the punch needle work but I agree you shouldn't call it a kit if it doesn't contain everything you need to complete the project , I know you will keep trying until you are satisfied with your work , lovely to see your stitch work , stay safe and bet you smell great with that lovely soap gift it looked amazing ,and you look great extra lbs or not , 😊Amanda xx❤️
LOL I thought I was the only one who gives orders to boxes! Hopefully you have better luck with the boxes following your directions. I also tried punch needle embroidery....abject failure at it! I think maybe my problem was that I am lefthanded trying to follow directions written for righthanders. Can do it with crochet but guess not with punch needle.
I think I have the claret colorway in pound of love in my stash. Hermione is a Gryffindor and Luna is a Ravenclaw. The yarn you got, the colors are beautiful.
And that Mandala is gorgeous! You did a great job! I have always wanted to try the punch work too. And l have done embroidery, cruel work, cross stitch, needlepoint... I love textiles and fibers too!!
Thanks Rose! I feel so grateful to have such great support, it really makes a difference in my life. The kits were a lesson learned, and I'm still learning - that's life. And yes, I love spicy food, and always indulge with the wasabi whenever I have sushi lol
OMG!! YES that color is so beautiful.. i have 3 skeins of that color specifically Joanns fabrics was having one hell of a sale and I got them for like $5 a skein just last month.. I am also learning the relaxing art of cold process handmade soaping. Oh lovely needlework.. you did a great job.. LOL.. and yes I was holding my breath hoping you would show the back. The satin stitch was my enemy as a child and took me FOREVER to master. I have not done any needlework in many years as I sadly started to have vision issues and adjusting to glasses has been a challenge, almost putting a needle in my eye a number of times if it had not been for the glasses to stop it.
The fabric you had for the punch needle was meant for counted cross stitch...you need a fabric like linen for the punch needle or a cotton that will hold up to repeated punching in one spot.
Great information. Thank you for the information it helped me a lot. Cause I cross-stitching as well as crochet. Those punch kit's are hard to work with and I never liked what I got. So disappointed in them. I'll just stay with my cross stitch and crocheting. Thank you.
I have a love hate relationship with tape with string in it ... I like its strength, hate the taking it off lol and I call the air pillows Barbie air mattresses lol...
check out the crafters box. it is a subscription but you can do month to month. They had a great kit for punch needle with everything and all very high quality tools and materials. You have access to a video as well. You had me laughing tonight, and with covid in this home, believe me, I needed to laugh.
I have the "My two ladies" needles and I met the lady who created the needles. There is a great story connected to those needles. They are great needles. You will like them. I really enjoy your videos and now I have to check out "J Hook".
How do you keep the embroidery thread from pulling out? Do you have you hang it and not handle it when done? I thought it might be cool to combine it with another fiber component but doesn’t look as though that would work. I have all the tools but haven’t tried it yet.
Thanks for sharing all your happy mail. I have done quite a few of your crocheted shawl tutorials which I really enjoyed. You are an excellent teacher showing how to do the tutorials. You did a good job on your embroidery. Take care.😀

I don't see the spider soap in your shop? That was my fave.
Let me tell you that I have crocheted your shawl tutorial. It turned out really great 👍❣️ This is my favorite season also because it’s getting kind of cool. In Florida it gets too hot for most of the year. Thank you for your tutorials❣️💖
Great yarn. Have fun. I can't wait to see what tutorial you post next. The embroidery is very pretty.
Sometimes you can get monks cloth at a fabric store. Sometimes you can un-twist yarn in a pinch as well.
So good to see you! Loved the updates and information!

I love fall, too. It's 100 degrees here in Sacramento. I'm still waiting. 😖
OK that box talk was funny! I love the yarn. The soap with the spider is too cool!
Hi Craig,

I've done cross stitch and needlepoint for years and the hoop and/or frame make or break the project. Thank you for all you do.
Your embroidery work is gorgeous!! I've just purchased a kit myself and am hoping the back of my work will look as nice as yours. Fingers crossed.

Spidey, as always, your a delight!
Agreed fall is the BEST🤗
The Cheshire Cat is my favorite too.

I have used punch needle with rug yarn on linen fabric. I used it for the center if a hook rug. (NOT latch hook) Lots of fun😍
💜💙💚💛🧡❤

The KnitCrate Sock yarn that you liked most is Buoy. It's the one I got :)
You know what I love about Friday - it's finding Fiber Spider posting a video. YAY! When will you be doing a live feed? Cannot wait. Take care. MC

One thing I like about you is are so funny!
Love the mandala

It's been fun Mr. Craig 🤩 have a fantastic weekend 👍 Vickie G
Luna is a Ravenclaw so if your a mix of her and Hermione then your either a Ravendor or a Griffinclaw depends on which side is more prominent.
Great information. Thank you for the information it helped me a lot. Cause I cross-stitching as well as crochet. Those punch kit's are hard to work with and I never liked what I got. So disappointed in them. I'll just stay with my cross stitch and crocheting. Thank you.
Omg that's so nice love that!!!
I have a love hate relationship with tape with string in it ... I like its strength, hate the taking it off lol and I call the air pillows Barbie air mattresses lol...
The last punch kit is like I used to do. I used cotton material for my projects. If I can I'll try and send you pictures of some of the ones I did.
Ohhhhh my card got there! It took a while, but I'm so happy you got it and liked it. You are more than welcome 😊
Thank you so much! The pins are great, between the iconic Cheshire Cat and one of my favorite quotes - you rock! 😊🕸🕷🧶👍

You are so cute, you make me smile x
Good job on mandala

love that color now I have to find that color
I died laughing when you threw that hoop!
Love the spider soap
Try some peroxide on the blood. You could put a ribbon around his neck with stitches of course
