In the reveal at the start of the month they said they were sending knitting needle point protectors and they didn't come in on time. So as a replacement for those they included the tiny hat, people have been really confused about what it is for! Lol. Suggestions I have seen for it are turning it into a fridge magnet, attaching a pin for turning it into a scarf decoration, using it for the top of one knitting needle, and a hat for a bottle, also a hat for your favorite pen, that way it's easier to find! But as far as being useful, I don't know?!?😂. Have A Blessed Day All!

This makes a little bit more sense. Don't get me wrong, I love tiny knit things a lot. But this isn't as useful as most of the extras are. :D

I have watched so many January Knit crate openings and the teenie hat has been a stumper 😁
Not sure what I enjoyed more the yarn or the confusion/delight with the hat 🧶

The teeny is... Odd. I'm still a bit confused by it. Lol

I was SO surprised when there were two different colorways in mine! I try to avoid spoilers, so I didn't know! I got the chill out, which is soooo pretty.

I've been WAITING for them to do this in a non-artisan crate! It is something I mentioned to Rob and Hannah over the last couple of years. (I know Hannah has stepped down, but I had a few long phone calls with her last year.)

    Darn, missed the live...
I got the chill out, love it, but they don't "match" as well as I hoped.
    But I'm not unhappy!!
I never even thought about downloading, but I'm glad you showed that, as I'm definitely not a cowl person!! Love the scarf.

Downloading the patterns is my favorite part of KnitCrate patterns! Otherwise I might lose track of them and forget. :D

Awesome I just read about your affiliate with dryer supply. Way cool. You deserve that and more. Put that degree to use ....good for you congratulations.

Thank you! Dyer supplier has been super generous and has sent me a lot of their yarns to play with over the last year. I'm super thankful for that relationship. They've also taught me somethings about yarn manufacturing that I didn't consider before. They're really open to feedback about their yarn bases and listen to the community.
A lot of KnitCrate colorways are planned about a year in advance, so it takes some time to implement changes etc.

LOL. I think I'm still small beans enough that it wouldn't make as big as a splash. ;) Not selling myself short, I know they value me.

There is a great app called Pattern Genius for IPhone and iPad that makes charting a breeze. It even creates a symbol key. There is a free version to try.

      Darn...
But there isn't one for Android, not everyone has apple products. ☹️

I don't have any apple products really. The kids have ipads though (old hand-me-downs from other relatives.) I love making charts myself, there are some nice free knitting fonts out there etc. :D

I usually make my own too..
Knitting symbols seem pretty standardized. 😊

I was going to cancel and have 2020 be a destash year . I gave myself an “ER excuse”. Only would purchase super special pattern releases for yarn and patterns. Then two things occurred. Knitcrate spoiled it and I love them because this is why I wanted to leave. I want to experience knit with all new fibers to me from whomever that I’ve not worked with. So in comes Brooklyn Boy Knits, I’ve not worked with his yarn , yet. I got the all natural colors like you. Because this is this years theme is new dyers they are doing my work for me that I planned would be my 2001. So thrilled. Then #2 I’m also no longer on the Mrs Crosby wait list, so that’s also fun and exciting as her journey is all about that too. So can’t drop Knitcrate now. Bless them.
Question please....how early can I order a chunakkah 8 days of dyed yarns from you? I’ll look in your shop too. I am learning right along with you . I love a curious mind and when it comes to art, color, design, texture it’s how and what are the quite often subject matter of my sleeping dreams. Love your work. Thank you for teaching so many people. Your excitement is contagious!

I believe (from my brief reading) that Brooklyn Boy Knits designed the colorway, but the KnitCrate team dyed the yarn. I'm not 100% sure though. But I think that this series of collaborations is super exciting and a great way to bring other artistic visions into the yarn. PLUS Brooklyn Boy Knits designed one of the patterns in the box.
