Probably because it's a new channel ;) but thank you! Now that the sound tests are separate, they'll grow at a nice pace dedicated to audio enthusiasts.
That was one of the great things about the simplicity of the previous Gen Tundras/Sequoias. It was easy to upgrade the sound and get exactly what you wanted and it would sound great. With that new infotainment center, it will be near impossible to get a great sounding aftermarket system without spending tons of money.
@@daviddav09 I came here looking for comments like this. I'm trying to figure out if the sub is blown, or just sounds horrible with certain base notes. My 2011 4runner had better base that my 2023 Sequoia.
@@dustinkeys8704I’m having the same issue and need to keep it below the line to make it remotely sound decent. The dealership checked it out too and said it was fine 🤦🏻♂️
Don't know how I missed this video, I've been curious how the JBL's sound in the Sequoia, my old camry with JBLs sounded solid. Kinda disappointing that they don't bump like they should. Awesome video thanks!
It would be great if you could review systems from the past. The Acura-Krell, Lexus-Nakamichi, Subaru-McIntosh, VW-Fender systems come to mind. As well as the Bose systems for the 1st and 2nd gen Q45, the original 2004 TL ELS system, as well as any noteworthy car manufacturer -- hifi company partnerships from the past.
Unfortunately, system is still underpowered in my opinion, would love for them to be a bit louder, hopefully they get an amp upgrade for it pretty soon
I've purchased the JBL upgrade for my 2003 Sequoia and my 2016 Tundra, they were both an incredible disappointment. It's something Toyota has never got right. I won't be purchasing the package for my 3rd Gen Sequoia. The Sequoia I gutted and the Tundra I just dealt with. My base model work vehicles sound better than my Tundra. Funny story, I found out my Tundra had a subwoofer by accident while digging under my seats. I thought it never worked, but it did. It just sucked lol
It’s been a couple years and I’m still baffled why the channel isn’t bigger than 2k subscribers. Always hoping it comes for you guys

The JBL on our top of the line 2018 Prius Prime has more bass than our 2023 Sequoia Capstone. The Capstone sounds clear but lacks bass.
Does your subwoofer rattle?
@@daviddav09 no it does not rattle. Just a lack of bass. Perhaps this vehicle needs a bigger subwoofer?
@@daviddav09mine rattles horribly that I have to turn the setting below the center line

My family owns a Capstone and while it’s not the best I think it’s pretty good! At least for the songs I listen to.

Why is the bass not bassing?
Also does the this 23 toyota sequoia with 14 speaker JBL have any amplifiers?
Never watched a car review like this. Very cool concept!

Tou didnt have the jbl synthesis.
I feel like for 80k you should get a better sound system. I think Toyota needs to move away from JBL.
All of these brands are crapy: Jbl, Bose, Sony only used for badge.
There is some rumour that Vifa will make a car sound system...
@@lukabosnjak3829 I don’t think all Bose systems are bad but in a majority of vehicles they’re really bad.
@@LousyHealer13 The Bose I had in my 99 Mercedes E class was really good
Jbl should be ashamed at how bad their systems are in the new and previous tundra/sequoias.
But as toyota just doesn't care, why should jbl.
Yeah it's more Toyota than JBL unfortunately.
Subwoofer blows every 3k miles. Toyota strikeout with JBL upgrade; wouldn't recommend to friends or family. NOT WORTH IT!
horrible roads
