@@Lcnstkll007 Yeah na bro as someone who's been a Star Wars fan for 20 years, The Acolyte absolutely set the standard. @@Lcnstkll007 I have, and I think this is better than anything in the prequels or other shows. Those fights feel like dancing, this feels like actual fight choreography.

When it comes to having a smaller dagger. It would be so easy to off this dude. The second you engage in a block just poke, poke, poke. Give em the ol wombo combo
I’m actually kinda disappointed that the Acolyte got cancelled. The fights were amazing, the lightsabers looked better than ever, and we got two great characters in Sol and Qimir. And we might never see Darth Plageuis in live-action again, which is very disappointing. Hopefully they revive this show in some capacity down the line. Or maybe just do an Old Republic series like we’ve been asking for.
So you’re not a real SW fan? The lore of how the force works and is interpreted by others in the galaxy is amazing to see. It was touched on in The Clone Wars and Rebels and a bunch in comics but never in live action and it was great. The force didn’t somehow work differently for the witches, it was just how they interpreted it. We got to see the transition period of when the Jedi were more reserved and neutral to where they became self righteous, political and manipulative. We get to see the setup for the ENTIRE REASON Palpatine was able to take over the galaxy. We get to see how the Jedi negatively affected people by taking away their force sensitive children (therefore understanding the viewpoint of the separatists). I would have LOVED to see how Plageuis learned about Osha and Mae and the fact that they’re ONE PERSON split into two. And then how Palpatine comes across that information and therefore uses it to create his backup resurrection plan or how he used it to possibly create Anakin. We got Kyber Crystal bleeding, the Barash Vow, Cortosis, Lightsaber Whips, High Republic Jedi and so much more. This show truly delivered and it sucks to be a real fan who genuinely loves the world of SW. it’s borderline depressing to the point where I might give up on it. What’s the point in caring if fans ruin everything.
Sol was a flawed Jedi, a good man tortured by a mistake, and he was quite clearly off his game in this fight, roiling with emotional trauma and lack of balance that makes a Jedi vulnerable... and he STILL utterly destroyed Qimir. AGAIN. Say whatever you like about the man, he was a fucking badass.
Its kinda jarring to see the much younger mae/osha actor choregraphy be terrible and yet the actor who play Sol able to perform nuch quicker movements and choreography with Qimir
While I agree he should have tried using it a bit more than he did, it's important to remember that Sol now knows about the trick and will be anticipating it. In combat, you have to be careful about such OHKO tactics, as they can lure you into complacency by relying on them too much.
@@Baes_Theorem Not only that but in their previous duel, it didn't even work. He caught all the Jedi off guard with it once but not Sol. As soon as his lightsaber shorted out, he just started throwing hands instantly. Qimir has a lot of dirty tricks up his sleeve but their duels demonstrate that none of them are effective against Sol who's just too good a fighter.
The choreography is good, but this fight is really let down by the camerawork, editing and overall drab look of the show is. I read somewhere their goal was to outdo the duel of the fates, and the matrix for some reason, but those fights had much more going for them than good choreography. look up any fight scene from the matrix movies and you will instantly see the difference.

1:02 one of the nicest Sith move ever 🖤😄
You mean when he split his saber in half?
@@CameronHampton-mw9qk yes it looks so cool 😄
The thing with the both sabers, a larger one and a shorter one, are influenced probably by Miyamoto Musashi, and also when Luke had double wielded his sabers, a green and a shoto red one.
Yeah i can see miyamoto musashi
I liked the Parallel of Osha/Mae with Sol/Qimir. The powers of good and evil in the balance. Pretty good to see Osha become a hit unhinged and be free. She let her emotions flow freely and in turn her true power was growing from within. Already Sith energy…
That was so dumb

I hope to see more lightsaber combat like this this is awesome!!!!!!
The lightsaber fights in Acolyte are AWESOME!! Much better than that sh*t we got in the sequels.
This show should've been about the two of them
Okay, credit where it is due: the rest of the show is truly, almost indescribably awful, but THIS... this is a really good lightsaber duel. Joins Ahsoka v Maul as the only ones of the Disney era worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as those from the Lucas films.
It’s so funny how freaks just say ‘show bad’. But never actually give any real examples. It’s a wonderfully done show with a great story that you people ruined for the actual SW fans.
@@TheSCPStudio freaking lol. I didn't realise it was a requirement to post a 4 page detailed review of every basic element of storytelling the show butchers to pay it a compliment for the one thing it did right.
Gods, you people are so toxic. Enjoy the internet points, jackass.
The way they keep holding their lightsabres infront of their faces doesnt make any sense, its a BLINDING LIGHT, absolutely terrible fight direction - Even Rey knew to hold the light sabre to the side
Hey that Shadowless kick was donnie yen signature. 😂
Honestly need a whole show, comic series, movies, and video game based only off of Qimir
Slight hole in the fight, qimir has a detachable 2nd saber and only the top part was sliced. Couldn’t he just have used that?
This was a pretty cool fan film fight I wish there was more context but all and all pretty good
🤡
the saber combat is fucking great, genuinely all time, that's the best i can say about this show
Sol shows form V combat approach with powerful counterattacks and some tought strikes, and Qimir is clearly using Juyo which reminds Maul in the Phantom Menace. I that sense the fight is well done!
The duels in this show were so good.
You know for such a bad series this fight is fucking amazing. Probably the only reason to watch the show.
Can we get these choreographers with the people who write a for and we MIGHT get something special
You mean Andor?
3:14 Something something dishonorable
Why doesn't Qimir use his second blade after losing the first? I'm pretty sure he has a Cristal for the short one and even if he has a shorter range with it, it would still be some protection
Like how Ahsoka used hers against maul in season 7
Sol learned from Jedi Master Donnie Yen😂
Really wish the show was just about Sol and Qimir. They deserved to be in a better show.
deadass from what ive heard i thought this show was bad but i might
consider watching it
Amazing fight, I just wish it didn’t end like that. Would’ve loved to have seen Pelagius come and kill everyone at the end: Sol, Qimir, Osha and Mea. Leaving no one left standing like Rouge One would have been cool.
A writer who kills such a strong sol in a ridiculous way
One of the best lightsaber fights in SW
At least the duels outmatch the ones in the Sequels
Such an awesome fight/
Fun fact: Qimir's lightsaber was inspired by the 2009 Star Wars the clone wars toy "dual action" sith lightsaber which had a hidden mini saber in its hilt!
Two Asian actors fighting this kind of fight is always going to be the best!
The Acolyte definitely set the standard for light saber duals. The best in the whole IP so far.
You have clearly never watched any other Star Wars
@Lcnstkll007 i still love the 2 duel of the fates fights, but this show's fights easily hold up against a bunch of the prequels fighting
@@Lcnstkll007 Yeah na bro as someone who's been a Star Wars fan for 20 years, The Acolyte absolutely set the standard. The prequels choreography was incredible but it felt very rehearsed, more like a dance than a fight. The Acolyte manages to combine the speed of the prequels with the intensity and aggression of the originals and the sequels, and the result is the absolute benchmark for lightsaber choreography.
@@Lcnstkll007 I have, and I think this is better than anything in the prequels or other shows. Those fights feel like dancing, this feels like actual fight choreography.
Drugs are bad kids
Vader would mop them both
0:30 “feel the dark side”
Manny Jacinto AKA Qimir(The Stranger) is the Kylo Ren in this series he carried the trilogy just like Adam driver did as Kylo
Sol and Qui-gon have a similar fighting style. My guess is that they both use Ataru. Quimir is definitely a Juyo user. Unpredictable emotional movements, but trained.
Como me encanta ver peleas con Sables de Luz de todo Star Wars
Better than sequel
Sol was a flawed Jedi, a good man tortured by a mistake, and he was quite clearly off his game in this fight, roiling with emotional trauma and lack of balance that makes a Jedi vulnerable... and he STILL utterly destroyed Qimir. AGAIN. Say whatever you like about the man, he was a fucking badass.
I like how lightsabers look bulkier and less elegant in this era
Say what you want about this show, but the lightsaber duels were incredible.
Sol realmente es un maestro Jedi con todas las letras, con sable o sin el fue impresionante
Its kinda jarring to see the much younger mae/osha actor choregraphy be terrible and yet the actor who play Sol able to perform nuch quicker movements and choreography with Qimir
But never under estimate your abilities, skills and training to defy who you are against the evil
I am absolutely gutted his cool lightsaber got chopped. I loved that thing! Can you replace lightsabers?
If only Ahsoka's choreo was half as good.
If only you weren’t a toxic hater that probably came from the dark cesspool of Reddit
Wasn't my favorite show (doesn't deserve hate), but
the lightsaber fights were *chef's kiss*
They got that move from samurai showdown 😮
Finally no more heavy baseball bats
Quimir: “oh dear, if only I had a helmet made of metal which could short out his lightsaber. That might make this fight so much more easier for me”
While I agree he should have tried using it a bit more than he did, it's important to remember that Sol now knows about the trick and will be anticipating it. In combat, you have to be careful about such OHKO tactics, as they can lure you into complacency by relying on them too much.
At minute 3:05, he tries to pull
Sol's saber to his helmet
@@paramount8000 it's like people aren't even paying attention.
Despite all the ' Woke ' agenda in this movie, the fight is fking 👌
best lightsaber fight in years
at least Sol actually used the Force, when is the last time we have seen anyone use the Force in a fight who is using is for Good?
@@NickMartinproductions In some of the gemes? Constantly....
Remember when Star Wars ?
The choreography is good, but this fight is really let down by the camerawork, editing and overall drab look of the show is. I read somewhere their goal was to outdo the duel of the fates, and the matrix for some reason, but those fights had much more going for them than good choreography. look up any fight scene from the matrix movies and you will instantly see the difference.
"Thats Not How The Force Works"
Bro stood there for like 20 seconds waiting for someone to stop him 😂😂😂
This was the plot from Captain America: Civil War.
