@@HammerThumbs I fence off my Town while leaving 1-3 entrance points that are no more than the length of 1 Fence sections. This allows me to bottleneck the Raiders/Brigands. Some also use it to allow them to solo larger groups by enclosing themselves inside a square or triangle then standing on a Box inside to fire arrows out.
@@HammerThumbs NPC's AI doesn't have climbing or vaulting built in at this time so you can wall off whatever you want and NO NPC of any kind can get inside.
Hey, you have been playing with these fences so maybe you have discovered if you can distance the fence so it fools the AI to THINK it can pass through, but when it tries, it cant or gets stuck?
Not as of yet no, but, a Barn acts as a pretty nice "Gatehouse" since you can walk right through the middle of it then fence right up to each side. Maybe place a Guard Post on either side of it for a more imposing appearance.

I climb fences but I notice my army runs around obstacles so do bandits climb over fences?

@@delindsay oh so I can just leave gap until they come then quickly build the gaps right?
Im so glad I watched this before I even crafted any fences!
Had no idea they wouldn't snap, Thank You.
Placing fences in uneven areas is a pain. It would be nice if they could follow the terrain when you place them, instead of floating.
Seriously, it's a huge pita.
Wish they did it the same way as medieval dynasty.... that would be amazing
Agreed. Which reminds me, I need to play MD again now that's it's in 1.0.

Yup, I've used that trick many a time.
Fences is one of my few gripes. I hope they sort it out.
Agreed!
Thanks, I was having trouble.
You're welcome.
what's a contiguous fence?
A fence that continues as one unit, so without gaps.
is there any way to get fence-gates?

nice thank you
You're welcome.
try that on hill or uneven terrain it will be messy
You can still make it straight as this on a Hill, just looks dumb.
