TIP: Build a workbench at your Outpost with nothing in it's queue. Set your Outpost worker to Crafting 1, Delivery 2, Harvesting 2or3 (Harvesting/Woodcutting depending on the Outpost). Now setup delivery of what's necessary to fix the Tools. This will make sure that the Tools will automatically be fixed whenever they break.

I built everything myself in my new outpost but did find out I only need two people, one guy seems to mine fast enough for my needs. I just have a forager and a miner. Also built a workbench for them to repair stuff which seemed like a good idea. The forager is set to repair, forage berries/mushrooms and roast mushrooms. Things seem to be working which surprised me since it was my first attempt.
What would I do differently to make it so they just collect the stuff (copper in this case) and store it locally so i can just Travel Post the goods where I desire... I DONT want them walking to Bradford, for example... just want the copper from that node on the road on the way..
I'm not 100% positive I understand the question. Each building type has a radius and Villagers will only collect items within the Buildings' radius. Even T3 only goes to 500 meter.
The sturdy pickaxe is cheaper as you dont need straps to fix it. Strap requires a bronze ingot as well and the basic pickaxe requires straps to fix, annoyingly 😖
Like not at all or they're not sending enough stuff? Have you checked on the Outpost to determine if your Villagers are actually doing their job instead of just walking around all day saying "waiting for employment"?
@@delindsay villager is doing the work (mining/ harvesting (river reed). When I first set it up it delivered the copper and rock but after the first delivery it only delivers the food to the outpost. I’m not seeing anymore deliveries from the outpost to my settlement.
@@rodriguez4109 And you've checked on the Deliver tab that it's all still set up with the correct amounts and frequency (Daily/Weekly), etc? If so, I would try hitting the 'X' to delete the deliveries that aren't working and input them again. Maybe the game is just having a brain fart at the moment.

Thank you.

Great tip, thank you!
oh my, finally deliveries work for me, thanks for the explanation
You're welcome.
Probably the best working AI I've seen so far for a survival game....hopefully they continue to make updates and keep improving this game
They're dropping the latest patch anytime now, with tons of bug fixes and improvements, including AI behavior.
Very good explanation, i"ve already set up outposts but you touched on some good tidy up points.
Thank you.
it did help, simple to the point
Perfect, glad to be of assistance.

2 is about right for an Outpost.
great video my man
Thank you.

Anyone do a "Must-Have Villagers" upload? Rank the villagers or just a quicklist of WHO to get and in what order?
Here's the issue with that, Villagers Stat layout, Perks and name are RNG. There is nothing the same between any of them, except Story NPC's.
Merci bien pour ton explication que je trouvé nul part, MERCI👍👍👍
De rien!

That is a fair point and I had forgotten that it required a strap and thought it needed Copper Ingot for some reason.
thanks
👍
What's the point in creating Outposts? why not keep them all in the same outposy???
Availability of resources. There's no one place on the Map that has "all the things" you'll need to grow your Town.
lol, I am literally setting up the same outpost for copper and river reeds
It's a great spot!
My deliveries are not working, followed same steps as you, thoughts?

Thank you so much for this, it's really helped so much! (◕ᴗ◕✿)
You're most welcome!
