If you're wondering why I restarted this letsplay series, it's mainly because I knew I could make it better: 1. I was on a preview version that I got ahead of the update release, this may have caused issues down the line 2. I needed to refresh myself with the game and now that I have the new series will be much better planned and better to watch 3. I felt like I could make the video more entertaining, hopefully I achieved that!
I know its been 10 months but i must point out you made a rookie mistake: Do not dig up the tree stumps unless you absolutely have to. They grow back after 3 years, makes your town look pretty and in late game you'll be greatful for not have to spend 5 minutes walking every time you need more logs. Try fitting the building between the logs and only remove like one or two to fit in your bigger buildings like the storage shed. I built at the same place as you, but i squeezed everything in and only had to dig up 1 tree stump.
not sure if you know this, but the best time lapse is when you give a button to skip the time lapse for those that don't want to wait. I like time lapses so i won't be skipping them.
If you go into decoration you’ll find a big compost bin which I think only costs logs and sticks to build. Really nice decorative item but you can also fill it with whatever food items you want and they’ll turn into rot so you don’t need to dump them on the floor!
The color of the tree above the compass indicates what season you are in and doesn't require opening the map. Green = Spring, Yellow = Summer, Orange = Fall, Light Blue = Winter.
@@Morgellan I noticed it and checked the seasons timing with it and realized that was the indicator to let you know what season but also how far along you are in that season. When it is nearly fully to the right/full you're about to switch seasons.
Fields are situated so they can only be placed specifically along the North, East, South or West “angles”. If you face your character one of these directions on the compass at the top middle of the screen, you can get an idea of which way the field will expand from there. Also helps keep things straight if you prefer by lining other things like buildings and roads up against them.
I'd suggest skipping the Hunting Lodge, at least having a worker in it early. The output of the building is horrible at the moment, you're better off just doing a quick hunt/cook session yourself which will provide any villagers you have with food for quite a while. A couple people getting you logs/sticks early is much more beneficial it seems.
@@Kysen The test branch is supposed to change production of the Hunters, so maybe it will be worth it. I haven't enabled it, just waiting for it to be released.

I never personally played without fast build on. I feel it doesn’t really hurt the survival immersion aspect of the game but saves a lot of time. Watching it in normal build speed again makes me want to cry 🤣
It's a personal choice but I can't imagine not using the customization menu and adding fast crafting and fast building. I also tend to use unlimited weight as well. I find to do otherwise gets rather irritating after a while. I set the seasons to 20 days so that I don't have to rush through the game. You can always end the season anytime you want .
Because it's a playthrough I think I should keep with the default settings at least for now. But I think customising the game is a great idea for people just playing for fun 🙂
The problem with fast crafting is the fact that you generate fewer skill points. With normal crafting you get points per crafting process, with fast crafting you only get the points for one crafting process. So if you want to level up the skill points you should use the normal manufacturing process

@@Kysen I used to throw the berries down on the floor in my food storage and at the beginning of a new season I pick them up and make fertilizer. They shouldn't despawn at least not within one or two seasons. I switched to the compost bin though because it's more organized.
Logs should also not despawn if thrown down on the floor. I use unlimited weight setting though, so I usually just carry stuff around if storage runs out.
Hello.....I just started playing this game....where is this bank account/chest located? I've managed to talk to the man and get my blessing to build anywhere. That's as far as I've gotten.
I downloaded the game just before Christmas this year and your game looks totally different. The wall around Gostovia and the abandoned village nearby nothing like that in my game.....
That’s because your in the base map
i love the time lapses
Thanks for the feedback :)
So usually unless your building in that location it's best to leave stumps. I'm 2 years the trees come back
Where if you take the stump it doesnt.
The trees grow back whether you remove the stump or not…
So it’s best to get the log from it and just wait.
hey mate love the video and your editing skills and i my self is starting to stream/youtube and was wondering if we could chat and pick your brain and maybe do the coop part of the new Medieval Dynasty if not i understand but would love to ask about some tips from your veiw
Thanks mate and all the best for your channel! In my discord - link in description - I have a channel called 'Creators' Happy to discuss YT content creation and answer any questions there :)
I like 3rd person for time lapse makes darker environment seem more lit up
Somehow it escapes me how to go from the hands to the full avatar.... What key is that? \0/
@@lameaker Press "P" to switch to 3rd person. I think you can also use the scroll button to scroll out. Once in 3rd person you can definitely use the scroll button to zoom in and out to your prefered view.
@@crystalising Thanks for the answer, and I wish you a Healthy and Happy New Year in advance.
@@lameaker Thank you and the same to you! :)
I do like time lapse and songs. It would better if we can see the title of the song 😅
If you leave the stumps the tree will regrow in a few years.
I didn't know that, thank you! I will mention it in the next episode for other people
@@Kysen yea, it's great for getting those early game logs that you desperately need, while still being able to have a beautiful village full of life and green later down the road.
Trees only grow from a stump, so you should only remove them if they absolutely interfere with construction. The trees grow back after 2 in-game years
@@Kysen I believe they need 2 full years to regrow.
If you take the stump, the tree will still come back.
It appears as a sapling and then grows to a full tree.
I’ve had a stump for two years and nothing, yet where I removed my stumps… new saplings.
good stuff!
So where do you set up your town? You don’t show map? 😢
Sorry, I get better at showing the map in future episodes and I move my town to a better location which I do show on the map 🙂
Geez, with all of this loot I should restart on the new map!
Wish this game was an RTS
Game is perfect. Butt I can't stand doing everything myself haha
Time lapse is good =)
Nice music
Thanks! I really like the first timelapse song actually
And just like that you have a house. Except it’s not like that in the game, is it.
Is there warfare in this game between areas?
Forgets to mention the 4 high level bandits in the abandoned houses with the Gold Ring ! My Dynasty Ended lol !
Who sings the song with the lyrics what gos around come back around? Lady singer ?

Thanks I just found it myself ❤
Looks awesome, unfortunately can't play because for some reason I'm unable to save the game after the update.
Damn. I'm sure that's a bug they will fix, you should report it to them
@@Kysen I wanted to try a few things myself before reporting it as a bug. It turned out to be my firewall and ransomware protection blocking the files. Problem fixed, able to play and I feel great for for solving it myself. Not bad for an old geezer with practically no comp. knowledge 😀
just a question....you sound posh yet, almost Manchester, oriented....are you central British?
I restarted the game but now the first loot box only has a couple of items in it (straw, sticks, and logs). What's up?
I know this is all everyone probably already knows this but if you crash stone knives, I need a ton of them you can sell them for I think it’s $20 each in the beginning
They patched that to lower the knife price
I started playing on Xbox Series X, and not able to find the chest you show and seems the mapmis different
The music 🕺🏻
i would use 4 logs and make a compost bin
Thanks for the tip! I'll look into this 🙂
dont think its available i was looking all day for it i think they removed it in new update unless im blind ?
Can you play this game in 3person? This game looks sweet and it’s on game pass kinda reminds me of rust
Huh i played this when it first came out and it looks like building got mainsteamed dont need to carry every rock and log to it
I'm curious can u build walls around your town like the one you showed in the beginning across the bridge
Eventually you can, yes
Time lapses are nice.
I just began a game on ps5, im at the starting chest but ive talk to the guy you said to talk to but theres only 10 sticks. , 3 logs, and 20 straw in there....RIP.. the fence are higher and i think they removed stuffs from chest in a update of the map so i guess my game will be harder then yours...
Edit: ok nevermind i was too much in a rush needed to do like 3 littles quests first
Wait, there is a chest near the spawn?
This game reminds me of kingdom come
Why does it say stay vigilant? It doesn't say this at the start of the game. It would be great if you could refurbish those two loot houses and have that as your town
