I found a 3D print file for Miata door bushings, I was gonna print a set out at the library but dunno how they might hold up. I have 3D printed window track bushings that are holding up great so far. And only cost 15¢!

That's awesome! I've seen the bushings on ebay too, and they look like they are 3D printed. For that price, make a bunch and if they crack, replace them.

The stiffening is very subtle, so I do not think it will resolve the well documented "shimmy" issue. For that, I would look at fender braces and the Power Plant Frame brace: www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Part/15-1006.html
