OMGOSH Darlene! I am so happy that Blue Eyes is home and out of that hospital.🙄 I was so worried especially when we didn't hear back from you right away. And that nurse should not be in her role. A nurse should bring comfort and should conduct herself in a way that gains the trust of the patient. Darlene thank you for sharing about how you and Blue Eyes communicate with each other. You each show mutual respect and caring. And that is a lesson to us all.
As a retired RN, we would always notify management if we were having difficulty with a patient. That is absolutely for the nurse's protection. I'm sure the Advocate was trying to neutralize the situation. Glad he's doing okay!
Please look into Triple A, or AAA, in both Arkansas and Mississippi for both cost and benefits. If you're traveling a lot, a lot at night, and a lot on your own having roadside assistance and towing is usually worth the membership price. Plus often AAA membership gives a surprising number and variety of discounts.
I loved your take on not changing or asking someone to change and the no drinking and drugs. I feel like I have found someone on my same wave length.😊this was such a great video !
Oh I'm so happy blue eyes is better. I've been so worried about both of you. I can't believe they didn't write a report when you fell. Even when you refused care. I live in Michigan and worked at a home for the disabled. If anyone got hurt we were told to write a report about it. Even if it was someone visiting.
So glad Blue Eyes is out! I work in the medical field and there’s no way that nurses behavior would be tolerated! Ever! I’ve enjoyed following your journey and look forward to seeing where it takes you both!
So glad Blue Eyes is home..and you are absolutely right about what is important in life or a relationship. When you love someone why do you spend needless time trying to change them. Never understood that. Thank you for sharing this. Enjoy your time together. ❤
so glad Blue Eyes is with u!!! the difficult nurse was so unprofessional. Im a nurse and she was way out of line!!!!at our hosp she would have got written up with that poor behavior. U guys are sailing along just fine. we love your real videos. u are so cool!!!luv ya.. u make sense when others dont......
Happy blue eyes is home and all is will … Darlene glad you know what to do and your knowledge to take action . Knowledge is power !!!!!!! Lv u girl💙💙💙💙💙💙
So glad you’re home. I hope Blue Eyes finds out what the issue is with his health and that he continues to get better. I’m glad to hear you’re willing to figure out things with your business and even happier to hear you change your mind if you find out that nah it’s not what you want to do. You’re making smart moves on building your life the way that makes you happy and benefits you in the long run. I’m hoping Blue Eyes is the same way because he seems to be that way too! I think you both moved into this relationship at right time in both of your lives, because you’ve both already lived the life of ridiculous stress and don’t want to go there anymore. So kudos on relationship building!
I'm glad you left the medical field too. No one expects you to please everyone. But you should never disrespect anyone. Nurses are fucking healthcare professionals and they need to do a professional job.
Holy crap, that hospital sounds like the hospital from hell. I’m an RN with 40 years of, ER experience, hospital experience, ICU experience, and the last 20 years of my career was in home care. I can see glaring problems with that nurse and aide. My husband has a lights off thing too. It doesn’t bother me either. Glad you didn’t have any major injuries from your fall. Glad Blue Eyes is better. Both of you take care. I’m so glad you are enjoying your life with Blue Eyes.
I am thankful for you to have this good relationship! I had a wonderful relationship with my first husband who died of cancer, and then I married someone that I thought reminded me of him after knowing him only six weeks and spent 43 years regretting it, because he was a narcissist!
Glad things are going better for you. Try not to stress out. I am praying for both of you and family.❤ I want you to take care of yourself. Hospitals And even Doctors are very different after cov-d. Everyone is stressed out and I always tell them I am too. I have been trying to complement everyone I can see that people are very depressed. I am 75 and I enjoy your site so much. I would enjoy seeing some of your past sewing and crafting videos. You are a “tiger” friend. Bless you!
Thanks for the update, Darlene. We worry. So glad the news is better. Hope Blue-Eyes finds steady work that doesn't mess w/his health. That can be a real challenge after age 50. You two are handling life issues together so impressively and seem so amazingly right for each other :)
So glad blue eyes is outta there and doing well. I am so happy that you two are so good at communicating. I feel that way with my husband and I… ❤ thank you for the update and the light story. 💡
Glad to hear he is out of the hospital and feeling better. Sending a big hug to you both. Have fun listening to music tonight. 🥰 As for that Nurse ....... whoa .. she's a piece of work 😱
So glad blue eyes is on the mend. Rocket is so happy to see his daddy. Looking at the future and that is good. Just happy everything is working out for you all.
Colorado is one party too Darlene. People need to butt out , that’s the problem with this world. Your all Good. I’m sorry you fell Darlene, I worked in nursing homes & hospitals and they ALL GOSSIP!! If it’s a big facility then it’s floor to floor gossip. That Hospital sounds like a hospital from hell compared to any places I’ve worked at least we were good with our patients. I fell & broke both my ankles talk about hell, I was in hospital a month & had a nurse come in my room so I could go to the BR she’s like you need help,I’m like I’m none weight baring I have 2 broke ankles they were both in a soft brace. I could NOT believe it ! Another nurse shamed me by over flowing my bed pan because I was drinking a lot of water. She had people measuring it. I’m also a diabetic if nearing 30 years. They pretty much starved me to try & control my diabetes with diet, I told them it’s Not going to work they finally knew that I do 2 kinds of insulin so I understand blue eyes. His name is none of their business they just want to record check I’m so sick of troll people you both Take Care sending Love from Colorado 🤗♥️🌹♥️
You are terrific, this is coming from an old lady who feels the exact way! I am happy to ‘know’ you on this platform, you make me nod in agreement with you and make me smile... ❤❤🇨🇦👍 0:39
He may have this already. My daughter has a bracelet. It is a usb. She has all of her med and medical issues on this. Can be plugged into any computer. Just ease of mind,no questions all there.Glad to hear things are better. 😊
Good to hear that Blue Eyes is out of hospital, well wishes from me 👍🏼 I love his reply about turning the lights off and the way that you can be letting people be themselves. I learn new things about relationships all of the time and you have become a teacher for me, thank you. Have a good time doing fun and cute stuff together 😊 Be well, Sally 🌹
I'm so happy for you guys. Finding the one person that understands you is an amazing feeling. You deserve all the happiness in the world. I'm so sorry that you both had to deal with that situation. I'm a nurse, and the way she acted was awful. I can tell you right now that would never happen where I work and if it did the nurse would be disciplined harshly. You get em Darlene.😊
I'm glad you're both during well! 💯 I had a nurse like that, no bedside manners! I had severe back pain and went to the ER for help.I couldn't even walk on my own. I was laying on the ER bed and the nurse wanted me to roll over on my side to give me a shot of demerol. I asked her to help me since I was in extreme pain. She said she couldn't because she had a bad back. I weighed 155 lbs. Wth she's an ER nurse! I was there for 4 hours and after 2 shots of demeral I was still in extreme pain, so I went home instead staying there. She stressed me out so much! Like I was an inconvenience to her. I hate going for medical treatment! 🙄
You are so spot on . I like the way you look at things. Also I used to work in a hospital and you are so right in how you handled it. That nurse should not of been allowed to come in the room. Sorry for that awful hospital stay. The best to you and Blue Eyes.
I am so happy that Blue Eyes is doing better!! I am sorry you had the bad experience with the nurse! Neither one of you needed that stress while going through his health issues. He sounds like a one in a million man, I have never dated a man that giving and understanding. I hope you continue to have fun and enjoy each other for a long long time!! ❤❤❤
Glad that he is out of the hospital and feels better! Scary how it all happened. Thankful that he was able to drive to you and you could then call the EMTS. Have fun tonight and take it slow and steady! Good on you Darlene and I am so very happy for you.
I’m so glad Blue Eyes is home and doing ok. I’ve been thinking of you both, checking for updates, hoping for good news. I know that probably seems odd, since we will likely never meet, but I feel like I know you both and believe it or not, I truly was worried and do care! 😊
Hi Darlene, so good to hear from you again. And really glad blue eyes is feeling good enough to want to get out tonight. Did they ever figure out what exactly happened? So sorry it was such a crappy experience for you both on top of the fact of how sick he was. That really sucks. I do agree with you on letting people be who they are. I am the same way, Of course it took me quite a few years to learn that lesson, but I learned it. Hope you and blue eyes have a great weekend.
Also, you’re doing the right thing, being respectful of blue eyes, and allowing him to make choices that are his own. Most people get very controlling about things like this, and make the other person miserable.
I have watched you for a very long time. It is so fun watching you be so happy! Congratulations! I have to admit I am a little jealous! I can tell you are so in love with blue eyes! I am so happy for you two! ❤️
Thank you for the update on Blue Eyes. I had to laugh about the light issue. It's the same in our house,I turn them off and husband leaves them on. And you are spot on its not a big deal. We except each other,it all works out 8 years and no fighting just loving.
Turning lights off saves money… as a nurse I’ve encouraged the spouse to be near the patient on the bed. It comforts them. There are times with equipment and delicate situations it’s not allowed.
One should be allowed to take care of themselves whatever way they want and not be pressured to do it for anyone else. We are all going to die. We have no choice over that. But we can choose the way we want to live.
So good to hear from you! Glad he is doing better. You both seem to be enjoying each other's company, great when it works out that way. And the only way it should be.
Darlene I am relieved to see this video! Glad Blue eyes was released. I too cannot believe that the nurse didn't help him to the bathroom. I was asked by the nurse both after I had a colonoscopy and after I had had an MRI, as I was weak and out of it both times. Also when you fell! Unbelievable. My sister whom I told you before is a nurse, is now a patient advocate as well. Best of wishes and health and happiness to you all and hello to Rocket🐶
I had a coworker one time that had gone to the hospital with “chest pains” and they said they could find nothing wrong. She jokingly said well it’s probably just my gallbladder. Turns out it was her gallbladder and she wound up having to stay and have it removed. They hadn’t even considered that it could be something other than the chest pains.
Glad that blue eyes is out of the hospital hope he feels better soon I am so sorry he had to experience a nurse who was so disrespectful to him and to you ,Just take care of each other and I am sure things will work out for you both, good luck in whatever you all decide
Great chat! Enjoyed this so much, so glad he is doing well, and so glad you've found a love like no other, it's just the way it's supposed to be! Just free to be - and you deserve it! You both do! Take care and see you on the next one! Xo
My Aunt was in the hospital and doctors had her on a generic blood pressure medicine. My Uncle wanted her on the name brand and he got it for her. That is crazy when he is on a special insulin that works. He can have a stroke in his intestines too. A friend had that happen when she was on vacation in another country she had the stroke in her intestine and they had to remove some of it. Who knew? Prayers for him and hope he will be ok. God Bless you both, Darlene. I love your hair you look amazing.
Hey Darlene & Blue Eyes, so thankful Y'all are doing well & out of the hospital. Good job on getting that awful nurse recorded. I agree with you about boundaries and also about not "sweating the small stuff", life's too short for that. Just keep on enjoying each other & being yourselves. Did Lil Rocket do his "Happy Dance" & barks when his "Daddy" got to come back home? Y'all take care, see you in your next video ❤️🐶
I worked in a hospital library for nearly ten years (and it involved working stints in four different hospitals). I can tell you, from my own experience, that hospitals practically RUN on gossip and the power of the rumour-mill. The quickest way to find out anything is to ask a nurse, a nursing assistant, or one of the orderlies. I was given a lift to the station (one afternoon, after work when I was running late and in danger of missing my train) by an admin manager who happened to be leaving at the same time as me. By the next morning the entire hospital was abuzz with the rumour that we were having an affair.
I was at a clinic a few days ago getting an IV. I was chatting with another patient and she told me about a virus that she was recovering from that is going around in Louisiana. She said that she was vomiting and felt awful and thought she was going to die. She went on about how sick she was, and it was especially bad for 12 hours. The nurse working at the clinic said she had heard of other people getting sick from this virus. I am hoping that Blue Eyes just had this type of illness. I am glad he is better. I am learning from your dating experience.
OMGOSH Darlene! I am so happy that Blue Eyes is home and out of that hospital.🙄
I was so worried especially when we didn't hear back from you right away.
And that nurse should not be in her role. A nurse should bring comfort and should conduct herself in a way that gains the trust of the patient.
Darlene thank you for sharing about how you and Blue Eyes communicate with each other. You each show mutual respect and caring. And that is a lesson to us all.
Glad Blue Eyes is ok. Thanks for letting us know, Darlene. Some of us were on pins and needles.
I was also anxious for an update! Glad he’s doing better.
I've always been told a man should compliment your life, not complicate your life... I'm so happy blue eyes turns "your light on" 😉🥰
That's beautiful that you allow each other the freedom to be yourself.
As a retired RN, we would always notify management if we were having difficulty with a patient. That is absolutely for the nurse's protection. I'm sure the Advocate was trying to neutralize the situation. Glad he's doing okay!
But she was not having difficulty with a patient. She was arguing with him and causing him stress.

I've learned about boundaries very recently and you are spot on!
Im really happy that you both are happpy having respect for each other. 🌷
I'm so glad you're on UA-cam. Your videos help me so much. Thanks. I wish you and Blue eyes all the best.
Thank you for the update on Blue Eyes.

8 years and no fighting just loving.
Glad he's doing so good and yall are happy ❤
Yes, i understand "boundaries "
Turning lights off saves money… as a nurse I’ve encouraged the spouse to be near the patient on the bed. It comforts them. There are times with equipment and delicate situations it’s not allowed.
One should want to take care of ourselves so the other person will not lose them. I am glad he's home.
One should be allowed to take care of themselves whatever way they want and not be pressured to do it for anyone else. We are all going to die. We have no choice over that. But we can choose the way we want to live.
So glad Blue Eyes is home and is ok!
Thank you for the wonderful update! So glad Blue Eyes is ok and doing well!
So good to hear from you! Glad he is doing better. You both seem to be enjoying each other's company, great when it works out that way. And the only way it should be.

Good to know on the recording.

Glad Blues Eyes is out of the hospital and glad he found out the job wasn't for him.
Keeping you and Blues Eyes and Rocket in my thoughts & prayers!
Glad you had a phone. I had a situation where I wish I had one. Glad all is well…Have a good weekend!!
