Car is absolutely amazing. I've driven it and it has a WALL of torque. 23 speakers when you get the mark levinson sound system, in which I have never heard a better stock sound system ever. Suede and alcantera every where. The LS500 FSPORT is a dream on wheels that gets 30 mpg on the highway.
I believe all modern luxury barges should have four wheel steering as standard. It helps a LOT while manoeuvring tight spaces and reduce turning circle.
I'm just selling my 2020 E63S, and it's 4Matic+, so normally it's all wheel drive, but if you want to be an idiot, you can make it RWD. Very convenient. I'm looking at getting one of these.
You get an LS b/c its reliable af, has one of the best fit and finish and quality of materials, while offering a cushy ride or sporty thru the turns as needed. There's also the F model or F sports pkg if needed. The German competition has garbage reliability, shit electronics and horrendous resale value. They're only good for leasing.
Yet with a higher price tag they still wipe the floor with Lexus in sales hmm 🤔 why is that. It’s reliable because they don’t change anything. And I do like Lexus products. but the German manufacturer invest in new tech not hold on to old tech. Sure old phones are reliable like the flip lol 😂 😂😅🤣 yet no ones rushing out and buying old phones with the low sales numbers of the LS it might be going away no matter how reliable it is

A masterpiece and pinnacle of craftsmanship and artisanship of the entire LEXUS TEAM. Each and every member of our LEXUS Team was able to accomplish something that is extremely hard to do, which is to FLAWLESSLY execute the balance between handling, fun to drive, visually appealing and dynamic (sporty) feel elements on one hand, and comfort, luxury, serene "library quiet" ride, perfectly assembled air suspension for the smoothest ride possible and, of course, all while to be able to maintain the famous LEXUS reliability, on the other. The LS 500 instantly became an undisputed leader in its segment, a benchmark for other auto manufacturers to try to follow. The bar has been set darn sky high by the LEXUS Team. I appreciate Micah's honest, straightforward, thorough, very well-done review of this utterly sexy, premier luxury sedan.
I'm LS fan but 2 things really irritate me about this car. 1. Why tf did they put the heated seat and steering wheel/ cool seat function in the UI?? Instead of having buttons or the rotary knobs like the old ones. 2. How the hell does a Honda Accord have more rear seat legroom than your full sized luxury sedan, and it's long wheel based??? Cmon Lexus.
Well for #2, I think the LS still manages to best the Merc in terms of rear legroom, so it might be fair to say that it is competitive for its class (especially considering the price difference). As for the seat controls, yeah I got nothing, that's a stupid UI for their control.
My family had a 2012 Chrysler 300 that had the heated seat and steering wheel controlled on the Uconnect screen. The Uconnect is a great, lag free infotainment system, but still having the climatized seats on the screen was super annoying. I hated it.
prettyrickyd47 do you actually bellieve that leg room crap? That is virtually impossible to say the least. He had the seats fully adjusted all the way back compared to the Accord they showed in the video. It's virtually impossible for an accord with the front seats adjusted all the way back to have more leg room than the Ls that competes with the S class in that department. The Honda accord leg room isn't even much more than the new camry and it isn't more than the new avalon. Don't believe all your hear or watch till you test these things for yourself. The seat adjustment is in the UI cause it is the most adjustable compared to its direct rivals being the S class, 7 series, A8 and JAGUAR xj. The new Ls is 28 way adjustable in the front and 22 way in the rear beating all its competition with the 7 series the closest to it with 22 way in ur front and less in the rear.
I understand that most of these reviews on different vehicles must be non bias. But as a former mechanic. Toyota/Lexus are by far the best built most reliable vehicles in the world. The LS models are engineer so well. It's amazing.
I drive a 99 LS. For the age of the car it’s really ahead of its time. My buddy has a 91. Both of our cars still run and drive amazing. The seats are crazily comfortable for being 20+ years old. I can’t imagine what it’s like to drive a brand new LS
Looks good and, with proper maintenance, won't kill your wallet like the Euro brands and won't break down ( Lincoln). I like the Genesis brands and I would like to see how they hold up after 175k miles of usage.
I love EVERYTHING about the Lexus LS and Lexus in general apart from ONE thing, that stupid mouse mat thing, just give it a touch screen it'll be far better! If I was in the market for a luxury saloon, I would not buy German marques anymore. In the past, yes, not now. For me, it'd be a toss up between a Jaguar and a Lexus.

埼玉はぱ Not having apple car play can contribute to accidents. I have a Subaru WRX 2018 and it doesn’t have apple car play. And so, whenever I have to navigate to somewhere I’ve never been before, I use google maps on my phone. The problem is that it’s not safe for me to keep looking downwards at my phone while driving, as that can definitely lead to accidents. Bear in mind that I do have a portable garmin but hardly use it as google maps is way more efficient.
I want to start this off by saying I like Lexus, I even own a 2017 LS460. I’m not sure it was taken right, but I think he said this nearly $80,000 car has 1” less rear legroom than a $25,000 car. I could have misunderstood though. I know I sat in one recently when I brought my LS460 in for service and I first put the front seat in my position then sat behind myself and it was really quite a crammed feeling in the rear seat. Especially since new cars are going to that slanted rear type design it really cuts into the rear headroom. I just feel Lexus missed the mark here. No V8, no LWB option, less rear headroom, smaller seats etc etc. I believe all of their competitors offer a LWB option and more rear headroom. I don’t know who or what market this was designed for but probably not for people driving others around. If you have $80,000 you have a lot of options. These go beyond the $100,000 mark, and for that much you can get even more interesting cars, heck for a car with minimal rear legroom, $100,000 I’d rather go for the LC500 at least you get a V8 and a much nicer well built interior and you still have cramped rear seats since the new LS doesn’t really seem the chauffeur type car anyways.
Tbh I could get over the infotainment system. Honestly how often will I use it? I listen to the same radio station and never adjust my seat. Who needs factory navigation? Phone apps offer much better options. It will never bother me. The quality and comfort easily trump the infotainment system

Alberto Portugal 1. Model 3 interior is shit 2. Model 3 is slower 3. Tesla build quality is worse than Toyota/Lexus 4. The Lexus will last longer 5. You can get fuel anywhere with this, the Tesla you cannot. (I live 10 miles from a city that has a population of 120k+ and they don’t even have any super chargers. ) 6. The Tesla will ride worse, (doesn’t have air suspension) 7. The model 3 is way smaller They will literally never compete. Now onto model S 1. Model S is outdated 2. Model S is built MUCH worse 3. Interior is much nicer and built of higher quality than the S. 4. Rear seat has many more features than the model S 5. Range/Fuel issue again. 6. Lexus is cheaper 7. Lexus is faster dollar for dollar 8. Lexus won’t be outdated in 3-4 years. 9. Lexus has Mark Levinson Sound system which is MUCH nicer than the Tesla’s “audiophile” rig. 10. They really don’t compete. The Tesla has no true competition. The model S is a good car, but it’s old, expensive, and the interior certainly doesn’t befit a vehicle of it’s price. The range issue is bad as well. If I’m paying $80-$100k for a vehicle, I want to be able to safely travel wherever I want without having to worry about charging it. Electric is awesome, but the infrastructure is still too underdeveloped to become a mainstream, reliable, and fast transportation method for the masses.
Nothing like Toyota or Lexus they are a piece of mind, and that pad is not bad either you can use it while the car is standing still. No a problem and it also stands out from rest of the competitors which is a great thing nobody uses glass trims in their cars.Jaguar, bmw and Audi are crap in front of it lexus has predator style spindle grille which looks great on their cars.lexus should be awarded about the hard work and effort they do in their exterior design and interior design.lx 570 and Ls,in fact all lexus and Toyota cars are great.
Love your sense of humor as always. But to be blunt, I don’t think reviewing luxury cars is your strong suit. You are missing out a lot of key points of what a luxury car is meant to offer. I’d bet you personally don’t care about these luxury cars.
If i had the money to buy the flagship Lexus LS or the flagship Mercedes S class, i would always choose the Lexus. It has been voted most reliable vehicle manufacturer for many years in a row beating Mercedes and the level of comfort and luxury in the LS model is amazing. You get many features as standard in the Lexus whilst Mercedes comes with very little standard features and will break your wallet when you add all the options you need.. It”s disappointing that the flagship Benz looks exactly the same as a C class. This is not acceptable. Driving a german car used to mean something.. a sense of prestige, refinement and luxury. Mercedes-Benz and the other german manufacturers need to step up their game.

5. You can get fuel anywhere with this, the Tesla you cannot. (I live 10 miles from a city that has a population of 120k+ and they don’t even have any super chargers. )
6. The Tesla will ride worse, (doesn’t have air suspension)
7. The model 3 is way smaller
They will literally never compete. Now onto model S
1. Model S is outdated
2. Model S is built MUCH worse
3. Interior is much nicer and built of higher quality than the S.
4. Rear seat has many more features than the model S
5. Range/Fuel issue again.
6. Lexus is cheaper
7. Lexus is faster dollar for dollar
Don't try to argue with tesla fanboys, they'll find a way to dickride elon one way or another.
BMW X5 xdrive 35i please😁
I'm still more of an XJ kinda guy.
My 2018 Camry has a bigger trunk.
Just Beautiful!
That instrument cluster with those 2 knobs on the side look like Shrek.
The Lincoln Continental is a Lexus GS competitor
OK, but we are looking at a LS video....
I know that, but if you look at the pictures they show for the LS competition, they show the Lincoln Continental
Please review tesla modle 3 next
Thanks for the suggestion!
Mercedes-Benz S-Class is still the best. Toyota does make a very nice car though.
Did he say 76,000 ? Damn that's highl
Try a Porsche Panamera at $176,000 and that you can't even keep out of Warranty without expensive repairs.
