Oh my Johnny would never do anything like that !
@@gabolujan3109 so? Im supposed to do what? Have sympathy?
@@wes5150. ^^^ comment above. Excuses excuses, people are dying Kim. 😂
You cry and complain too much, High estrogen?
Federal lifetime ban on owning a gun? Thats no better than a paper restraining order.
Thank god the reporter pointed out he'd never be able to legally own a firearm. Whew! That's one less thing to worry about.
Meaningless.
Wow?!..I thought he was getting life in prison..omg...what is wrong with the court systems these days?.
He should never be paroled after a callous murder.
Don't worry guys, I'm sure the other inmates will think he's super badass for murdering an innocent women and definitely wouldn't harm him in any way.
He should NEVER be free again. RIP to his victim.
What happened to the death penalty?
Apparently its "inhumane" unlike what criminals do.
Not enough cash flow with the death penalty
It was not a death penalty case and secondly the US Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional for a death sentence for a person who was under 18 at the time of the crime.
@aztecwhistle9122 lol as if they make cash.
@@AmonAnon-vw3hr You don't think incarceration is a (big) business?
A Life for a Life. RIP ✝️ 🙏 💐
It said 5-99 years.
He might get paroled in 5 years at 22 years old because he's a minor.
Probably will.
@@mongoose406 Pay attention to the video my guy. It says he won't even be eligible to apply for parole until 20 years served.
@jaketapper8910 Thanks I had to watch it the first time without sound.
I mistook the sentencing guidelines for his actual sentence.
Long day im done👍
@@jaketapper8910 Exactly ! 👍
@@mongoose406 He' not a minor in Texas....17 year olds are charged as adults
No one ever said criminals were smart.
He has AT LEAST 20 YEARS TO UNDERSTAND THAT HIS STUPITITY PUT HIM IN THIS POSITION.
given this guys attitude, nature of the attack and likelihood to reoffend, how is he getting parole in 20 year. Serious slap in the face to the victims.
He needs to serve every single day of these sentences. Enough is enough.
I actually find this sentencing a joke. Fact this was not 99 years automatically is disgusting.
How many murder cases for a 17 year old get 99 years?
I'm not paying for that
He got 20 for giving up and pleading guilty. If he fought it, it would have been a life sentence.
He got a Federal Lifetime Ban on owning a Firearm because he killed someone.
In Australia you can get a Federal Lifetime Ban on owning a Firearm simply because your partner accused you of Domestic Violence.
Accused mind you, not Proved to have committed Domestic Violence.
Judge should be fired! He should have received 99 years.
Remember the teachers who have these lovelies every single day.
Slap on the hand
40 years and 20 years running concurrently means he will spend at least 40 years in prison. So he would be around 68 years old at the earliest when he got out of prison.
@@Oblivisci........ 17 years old + 40 years in prison = 57 years old
A 40 year sentence is not a "slap on the hand."
Killed someone for no justifiable reason. 20 years seems too short.
I have a good feeling he'll be out before twenty years and will ignore the gun ban.
@@KylesRV Not if democrats remain in control.
There is no justice in that county. That sentence is a joke.
I’m not going to disagree it being a joke, but in some places he might’ve gotten Probation.
That 20 years served concurrently is an absolute joke. What an insult to the victim.
No it was 40, 20 is the parole, so the problem is the parole, not the concurrently.
Murder should always be life in prison without parole.
All prison sentences should be served consecutively.
Well in a way, he did get away with severe consequences. 20 years is nothing in a murder case. Shame on that judge.
Get more for having not selling illegal drugs.
He got 40 years, if you are paying attention. He is ELIGIBLE to APPLY for parole after 1/2 the sentence is completed.
He deserves 30 years minimum and lifetime probation. If he gets out in 15 or 20 years he will reoffend, no doubt about it.
He deserves life without...Period
It’s America wtf do you expect
You don’t know that for sure…prison and everything that comes from it has a way of changing lives.
@@jamesphillips5868 he deserves a very lengthy prison sentence, period.
@@davetherave1729 ….How old will you be in 40 years?
His mistake was committing the crime in Texas and not a crime friendly state like New York or California.
The gun ban is a joke, he is 17 yrs old and wasn't supposed to have any forearm anyway..the sentence is a joke considering the crime he had committed...
Congratulations to his new husband 👏
😂
with that face he has for sure he getting a booty bandit the first week in GP LOL
Making brown babies?
Hahahaha that hilarious. How’s the prison food? Little b boy
He’ll be fine. Probably get down with the homies. It’ll just be about how he Carrie’s himself in there.
20 year judge should be in prison shame on the judge
The judge is a Democrat.
He got 40 years. Or do you not understand that?
He should never see the light of day again......
This punk can still get out by age 37. That's still young enough to cause lots of damage. That is shocking.
I'm sure there are activists right now drawing up plans to get him out 20 years early.
Who? Who would want this loser out? You have to be a complete idiot🤷🏻♂️
Foreign Country. Swap ?
Maybe if he was darker. Mexicans dont have rich athletes and rappers bailing them out their problems like the 13%ers
He wasn't wrongfully convicted. So probably not.
He pleaded guilty so no activist, no marches, no protests, he’ll just be getting his salad tossed for 20 years
20 years are not enough. Think about how much time we use to grow up a kid.
5 years-99 years. That means he will be eligible for parole after 5 years! Totally unacceptable
Texas doesn’t sentence people with gap sentencing like 2-20 or 5-99. That is the range of punishment but it is a specific sentence. This adult got 40 years and by state law is not eligible for a parole hearing for at least 20 years.
Who is in charge of the numbers. If they don't mean anything. So let's raise the numbers. Like the sentence should be 150 Years.
And after 50 years.
We will review your case.
He should not be serving a concurrent incarceration it should be a full 40 consecutive years the courts are too freaking lenient
I blame the parents. Some people shouldn’t be allowed to have children.
Some? Most, I say. Especially in this craptacular country.
Parents ? It’s a lot of parents that raise their children to do what’s right and yet they choose the wrong path. He is to blame and no one else .
Banned from owning guns?!? Funny cause he had some when he already wasn’t legally able to.
this is what is wrong with the American "justice" system. he took a life. concurrent is BS.
60 years, plus 20 years to be served concurrently. oh, btw..... you'll be eligible for parole after 20 years. I hate our 'judicial' system. Never thinking of the victims or their families.
It was 40 plus 20, but you're right to hate the system. Concurrent sentences is a free pass on the shorter sentence.
