This is why I watch you, you understand that even with these workers leaving Mappa that the priority is THEM. The animators are what make this show so great animation wise and waiting a couple extra weeks to see even better animation would be a treat. All I hope is either for them to return under much better working conditions or at least take a break.
The change from Malevolent Shrine to Kitchen is actually really cool. You see the Japanese lettering uses some very old Kanji, which if reading using modern day translations means "shrine" but in older translations it can mean "Kitchen". Im not an expert but thats more or less what it means. Which is awesome because in a sense it means that modern day people view Sukunas domain as divine and godlike, but to Sukuna, an ancient 1000 year old demon. Its nothing more then a kitchen and all those who enter to pray and bow down before him are nothing but food. Thats awesome word play that you wouldnt know unless your Japanese and can never really get across because of the language Barrier.
Megumi has crazy potential. We learned that someone with his technique tied with someone with gojos technique in the past. Meaning megumi can at least be equal to Gojo one day. Also we learn that mahoraga can adapt to any attack no matter what. Mahoraga was even adapting to sukuna domain which is why he had to switch to the fire arrow. Megumi has the most potential and Gojo and Sukuna know it.
@@basedpluto dude I'm not trying to spoil it exactly how it happened even with the spoiler warning, of course I know it was sukuna and not megumi. I'm saying that it was his technique and body. I was also hinting at gojo's you know
If this is what the animators can do in those conditions, can you imagine if they were treated well?! This was peak from start to finish...Sukuna eating popcorn lol, Yuji's love of films has rubbed off on him. Gojo as gorgeous as ever...Sayonara Haruta, you will not be missed! A lot of people didn't like the usage of the intro song, but it's a song from the pov of the curses and the lyrics reflect that. For them, this is their Jujutsu Kaisen...thanks Michael and thank you animators 🥰
I clicked the second I saw this released, also I agree and I honestly hope that mappa workers go on hiatus because no one would care that much except for the super fans but we're all human and we need breaks. My heart goes out to all animators because anime wouldn't be a thing without them
This whole season has been such a treat; especially as a manga reader. Having looked forward to this arc for YEARS and the payoff being so massive has been nothing but exhilarating. So many crazy fights, and even smaller ones expanded on and brought to life has truly been my pleasure.
This is the single best episode i have seen... It was beautiful... For me,,, rengoku vs akaza and tengen vs gyotaro was the epitome of best fights but now i think i have a new favourite... Sukuna vs mahoraga.... That was insane
Thanks for your reaction my brother and also addressing the MAPPA situation, it's crazy they had just one week to do this episode that's crazy I can only imagine the torment they went through. This episode was supposed to be the best of the best of they actually gave them more time and rest but they still COOK tho. If the Animation is looking like this now I'm worried about the future upcoming fights
Mahoraga isn't just the strongest shikigami that Fushiguro can summon as I'm sure you realized. It's one of the only things that can be grouped into the same category as monsters like Gojo, Sukuna, and Toji. Sukuna admitting that it was something with the potential to kill him from before this is some of the highest praise possible. If it weren't for the fact that he could summon fire, Sukuna actually would've lost this fight as you could see Mahoraga having adapted to his slicing attacks by the sheer fact of it existing inside of a space that was constantly being sliced every possible instant that targeted both objects with and without cursed energy. When characters in JJK want to be strong they go all out full throttle and burst right through any sort of pre-established meta. Those characters really say "The world is going to adapt to me specifically" and not the other way around.
We respect/love the animators. They have created some of the most amazing fights in all of animation these last few months. They deserve a good 8-10 months off after how insane there work has been. Itadori & Choso, Jogo & Sukuna, now Mahoraga & Sukuna. Their work has been above and beyond and I'd much rather see a series split up the same way Bleach: TYBW has been rather than forcing these talented individuals to completely burn themselves out.
the issue with MAPPA is they are doing too many projects back to back, this past year itself they've done AOT, hells paradise, chainsawman, and JJK, compare to UFOtable who has only been working on demon slayer exclusively so even if they have so called breaks, this back to back shows arent helping it
@@dariel299mappa has different production lines, so they can handle multiple anime. It’s the fact that the ceo added chainsaw man screwed up jjk. They had 2 years for jjk season 2 but the ceo decided to shorten it for the jjk movie and csm, so they had 6 - 8 months for the whole season
@@aa_inc no they cant, have u not seen the recent complaints from their animators being overworked? lol its certain that most of their animators are working on multiple projects, go look around some even were grateful that AOT was done so they dont have to focus on that anymore, the only reason MAPPA is taking up multiple projects is because they wanna reach the level of long standing companies such as UFOtable in a shorter amount of time, they even had to sign confidentiality contract so they do not complaint about the production, yet they still did it cause it was that tiring, japanese ppl barely complaint about their work culture unless its really bad, end of the day CEO make shitty decisions and the animators are the one affected
@@dariel299 sorry I was kinda vague, they can handle multiple projects, but this is too much. When they start interrupting production lines to add projects, that’s when it goes wrong. If they didn’t add csm to the jjk production line, jjk would’ve been literally perfect. Also the aot specials showed proof that animators are really talented, but they need time
@@aa_inc the thing that confuses me is that did the production committee know mappa was working on csm? As production committees give the schedule when an anime is about to end and jjk s1 ended in mar 2021 while the committee gave mappa 4 months to animate jjk 0. If we assume they gave a schedule of 2023 in mar 2021, MAPPA surely told the committee they were gonna work on csm as they made it public that they will be working on csm in june 2021 but getting right to it and having a preanimated trailer must have taken months so even though the committee knew they were gonna do csm before mappa knew jjk s2 was gonna be in 2023, they still gave that schedule is mind gobbling. It makes sense that the real villian is the production committee since the see profits from an anime when the manga is ongoing, same thing happened with aot s4 where kodansha gave both WIT and MAPPA a deadline of 8 months for the entirety of aot manga. Ik mappa is half guilty but the committee should be held accountable for whats going on currently, yet people are only blaming mappa even though 90% of studios have hellish working conditions.
The fact that Sukuna took down a Shikigami that not a single person in history managed to really shows a lot about the king of curses strength. Especially considering gojo mentioned and implied how mahoraga/Makora was summoned once in the past and killed both the ten shadows user at the time and the six eyes/limitless user. Also having a domain that can into 200 meters is beyond broken. When most domains are just small areas incased in a shield Also malevolent kitchen was a mistranslation it’s malevolent shrine
not exactly mistranslation could be also a hint on what the essence of sukuna technique really is , its related to eating/cooking, from what we seen so far and fire is also an important aspect of it
@@dariel299it’s a mistranslation there’s no relevancy in the manga with kitchen other than knives. The fire is a whole different technique that he uses separately from his main techniques
@@vaux_amnope,from what I saw with other people explanations it’s not mistranslation. It just has 2 meanings so it can translate to both kitchen and shrine. It just like pun in English language.
i have watched damn near every single reactor today and you are the only person who understands damn near everything, reads out important information, and actually pays attention to the show. You may forget things in the moment but you even fix that in editing. You have my personal ⭐️ man. A+
Episode 41 finished production hours before the premiere on Japanese television, the animators say that it is not even finished the way they would like.
In the instance where Gojo mentioned to Megumi that in the past there were two sorcerers who died fighting each others having the same curse techniques they now possess... Their deaths are explained by summoning this Shikigami for sure....
A hereditary technique is a technique that runs in the family, the Zenin have the Ten Shadows and Naobito’s frame technique. Like Gojo clan with the Six eyes and Limitless and Kamo clan with Piercing Blood.
No spoilers this is just clarification for the Subtitles this episode. Makora = Mahoraga the Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Malevolent Kitchen = Malevolent Shrine Dissect = Dismantle Fillet = Cleave It seems like they just used the literal Japanese translations for this episode and not the official translations provided by the manga. Makora might be intentional though the Kanji when it was revealed in chapter 117 the same chapter today's episode adapted translated to Makora but the manga called it Mahoraga instead which is the sanskrit translation. So the Anime might be keeping Makora to keep it accurate to the japanese translation from now on instead of the sanskrit translation. Malevolant Kitchen is actually the proper translation based off of the kanji that is used in the manga. The mizushi-dokoro (御厨子所, mizushi-dokoro?) is an archaic word referring to a section of the Emperor's residential compound in the Imperial Palace, where food from the kitchen compound, meant for the Emperor's meals, would be brought for more advanced stages of preparation. The second character zu/kuriya (厨, zu/kuriya?) means "kitchen". But in episode 4 of Season 1 and chapter 8 of the Manga Sukuna's domain is called Malevolent Shrine not Malevolent Kitchen so that's definitely not supposed to be in the episode but Sukuna was definitely cooking this episode 🔥
I would've paid a premium price to watch this in the cinemas. This is right up there with Zoro vs King as my favorite fight episode of the year in anime. However, hearing what's happening behind the scenes is truly disheartening. I just gotta thank everyone involved with this season as far as the staff goes. The execs at MAPPA and the production committee should be ashamed of themselves for this hell on earth of their own making.
The whole point of why sukuna's domain is a divine technique is because it doesn't have barrier which is why is has such a huge massive radius. Gojo has a standard domain expansion so his range is nowhere even close to sukuna's range
Awesome reaction Michael! Gojo is incapable of doing what Sukuna can do with his domain, as in manifesting it without a barrier to contain it in a separate space. That said, we don't know how large Gojo can make his barrier, but it's definitely not 200 meters like Sukuna's Shrine which can spread its sure-hit-effect much further as it isn't contained. Also, I hate to be that guy but.. It does get better.. and much sadder. We are entering the climax of the Shibuya Arc, hopefully the animators are given time to do it justice!
So some trivia about Sukuna that got revealed in bonus pages. (So bonus non spoiler stuff) Sukuna was a cannibal and his two favorite things are fighting AND eating. So his techniques being cooking related makes sense
Honestly after what’s been happening at MAPPA these past few days, if Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 doesn’t get ANIME OF THE YEAR, I am going to be SO MAD AS HELL😤😤😤
I dont want JJK to get the anime of the year award. If it does, only the rotten executives will get the achievement on their cap, while the animators silently continue suffering.
One of the animation directors on this weeks episode said on twitter they were doing some genga supervisory/clean work until a couple of hours before the episode aired.
I hoped that some people would remember that Megumi was about to summon Mahoraga several times in season 1 and even recited a part of the incantation but oh well.
What was crunchyroll doing with those subs man :). They translated sukunas Malevolent Shrine into Malevolent Kitchen, Megumi summoning was named Makora instead of Mahoraga, sukunas ability was named fillet instead of cleave ahaha, disect instead of dismantle. Idk what they were smoking but the animation of this episode was Fantastic, props to the animators that had such a shor time to animate and did such an outstanding job
Yamata no Orochi is a monster that appears in Japanese mythology. It was a gigantic snake monster with eight heads and eight tails, and was slain by Susanoo, the younger brother of Amaterasu, the god of the sun, using a sword called Totsuka no Tsurugi. A sword was found in the tail of the defeated Yamata no Orochi, and it was called the Kusanagi Sword. Since you're familiar with anime, you'll probably get the hang of it.😊
It’s nice to see all the reactors bringing up this topic about the insane working conditions these poor animators are going through. Imo they have done such an excellent job with this season that it’s crazy it could’ve been even better if they had more time and better conditions. Sending my love and appreciation to these talented amazing people ❤
I think people need to put this into perspective, Mahagora is a shikigami with probably one of the most broken abilty in jujutsu Kaisen, to adapt to anything, any curse techniques, any hax etc Mahagora was keeping up with FIFTEEN fingers sukuna, something that Dagon, Jogo, hanami etc can never do ... sukuna had to end it with a domain expansion which is a auto win since Mahagora doesn't have domain expansion but he can adapt to them which would have caused the King of curse to lose but he was lucky 🤯🤯
I like season 1 malevolent shrine but season 2 malevolent shrine is different. It just embodies the most unique feature of Sukuna’s Domain Expansion which is barrier-less.
Gojo´s domain is not that large because, as everything in jjk, domains work with conditions or pacts to buff some features. Gojo´s domain has a barrier so it isn't very large but it ensures the "sure hit". Not trying to spoil but later in the series there are some domains that get creative with this conditions, for example, they trade the sure hit effect for other unice feature, like range, utility, forced actions that you have to do inside to survive, etc. Sukuna's domain is like the current domain of Megumi, it doesn't have a barrier so it is up to them to set the range of effect. Sorry if im not being clear i hope i explained myself
@@Ayeato it is weird in that way because, on the inside it may appear incredibly large but the barrier from the outside has just a few meters diameter. Remember the condition as well as Mahito's domain, the stronger on the inside, the weakest on the outside. Also Gojo is broken af and can adjust the size of his domain lol. Maybe he traded time for range
Omg..... Omg..... Omg.... Omg..... Omg..... I'M IN LOVE WITH JJK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT WAS THE BEST EPISODE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE ANIMATIONS..... OMG MY MIND IS IS STILL BLOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me calm down..... this is now my #1 anime episode. Michael, you though this was insane (which it is), just know that things are about to go down. Also, you breaking down about MAPPA situtation is exactly why your my favorite reactor. The animators deserve so much 😔 🙏.
Mappa animators built different for producing such great episodes every week in such short period of time and these hard conditions I too tought that they had already completed the episodes way before airing but it really sucks what's happening with the studio and I hope they will find a common ground❤ Actually that Shikigami name is "Mahoraga" in the manga idk why it was altered in the anime same as Sukuna's Domain expansion "Malevolent Shrine" in the manga but in the episode they changed "Shrine to Kitchen" But Mahoraga is really powerful tbh bro had better feats imo in that fight than Jogo and when the rest of the manga gets animated u will see aswell Also Micheal i meant to ask you this for while if u ever watched Black Clover and if may consider watching if u haven't yet
Mahoraga is written as Makora in Japanese. MIzushi in Fukuma Mizushi actually means a kitchen. Shrine also makes sense, but Kitchen isnt incorrect. Infact his technique dices and slices things, and cooks it with fire. In a malevolent way.
Dawg as soon as I head that many animators are involved with this episode INCLUDING Vincent Chansard, we all knew that this episodes animation was going to be GODLIKE Like that scene when mahagora was walking through sukunas domain expansion and it was so fluid 🤯🤯🤯 Honestly I really feel bad for the mappa employers as they keep stating that they can do better than the result now (which is crazy 🤯) but honestly if they need to take a break for a week, a month or even a season then that's great for then as they deserve it 🙏🏽🙏🏽
For some reason, this episode was split 6 minutes to 18 minutes between the break card. Edit: also if you see "Dissect" and "Fillet" the accepted translation, and the one Crunchyroll later changed to, is "Dismantle" and "Cleave" respectively.
There are still some bangers left before the arc is over, but I suspect that this will be the most spectacular fight depicted. Others may hit harder based on the stakes and the emotion, but this in terms of scale and spectacle has to be at the top.
Megumi's doesn't have control of it coz sukuna inturupted in ritual as an outsider which was for haruta and megumi both survived until mahoraga was defeated so the ritual is over
sooo a little info of the black lines mid battle those were sukuna slices... you start seeing those at the same time Mahoraga start seeing and following, Sukuna slices are so fast that you only see a few frames and then everything is sliced and diced (Jogo and the start of this battle) but after a while you also see them
I think you did the perfect resume of the two sides of JJK: - What the hell is going on? -Pain, this is just pain. (I wish this only applied to Shibuya incident but Gege just went even more unhinged after that. Not complaining, I'm still waiting for a new manga chapter every week, but... Actually complaining with all that freaking pain 😭)
the most apparent benefit of sukuna's domain is that it does not need to separate the space. Remember in season1, said the outer side of the domain is rather weaker than the inside(to prevent people from escaping the domain). However sukuna's domain has no such problem . With 200m range, i think Sukuna is able to break other's domain from the outside(in domain combat)
@@MichaelAngeloMAN yeah dude....imagine if they had rest and a break...they'd cook more than Sukuna...plus there's more madness of shibuya incoming can you believe it? We're only 50% through the insanity of peak 😭
@@MichaelAngeloMAN bro no cap Shibuya is one of the greatest arcs in shonen manga...it's on the level of Return to Shiganshina, Chimera Ant ,Pain Assault & Marineford. I'm hoping they go on hiatus and just delay the season until the new year 🙏
@Michael Angelo, Gojos domain doesn’t have a radius because his is in a barrier unlike sukunas which is just in the real world, his domain is like no other domain
Yes it does. The barrier can cover a particular area and without getting into spoilers, gojo can actually choose to stretch it out to go as much as sukunas if he wants to.
TL;DR(every technique in JJK requires entire paragraphs to explain) So for context, Mahoraga is Megumi's 10th and strongest Shikigami. If left to run loose, Mahoraga can challenge even Sukuna and Gojo given they don't use their domain immediately. Megumi almost summoned Mahoraga twice during season one as he considers it his trump card which he can use in exchange for his life. This is because he believes he can just make his opponent a part of the ritual and have Mahoraga defeat them without ever taming it. Megumi must tame very Shikigami before using it. To start, he already has access to the 2 Divine dogs. He must then work his way to tame all of his Shikigami. But like he mentions, he can summon them without having tamed them if its for the ritual. Mahoraga's ability is Adaptation. So essentially by facing an ability of an opponent again and again, it slowly adapts to it and begins to be less affected by it each time until its completely immune. This adaptation process also depends on the power of the technique itself. This is also why no user has ever been able to tame it in the history of the technique. So like how Megumi used it here, is probably also how The previous user of the technique used it to stalemate the previous Six eyes and Limitless user. His current list of Shikigami goes like(no spoilers for unseen Shikigami): 1. Divine dog Black 2. Divine dog White (Dead -killed by finger bearer) 3. Nue 4. Toad 5. Great serpent/Orochi (Dead -killed by Sukuna) 6. Max elephant 7. Rabbit escape 8. Unseen 9. Unseen 10. Mahoraga After a Shikigami dies, Megumi can no longer physically summon it, but he can permanently pass along its power to another Shikigami like how he gave Divine dog black the powers of its dead brother to create Divine Dog: Totality. But he can also temporarily fuse powers of two still alive Shikigami to create unique combinations like The Well's Unknown Abyss which combines Toad and Nue. Hope this makes Megumi's abilities and Mahoraga a bit clearer IF you managed to read all of it😅
And that's a wrap on one of the best arcs in animanga. Shibuya Jiken everyone. Sukuna really wreaked havoc. And now Itadori musty may the price for it in the next arc.
So Michael whan I watched your reaction I noticed something in the subtitles. When the narrator explaining sukuna power "fillet" and "Dissect" So please let me explain this Sukuna has two types of slashing attacks the default slash,Dismantle and the other, Cleave, which can be adjusted depending on the target's toughness and cursed energy level to cut them down in one fell swoop malevolent shrine differs from other types of domain expansion in that it doesn't create a separate space using a barrier. The ability to realize one's innate domain without using a barrier is akin to an artist painting a masterpiece not on a canvas, but on air. a truly divine technique.Furthermore, by allowing an escape route, a binding vow is formed, which vastly increases the guaranteed hit's effective area with a maximum radius of nearly 200 meters.Until malevolent shrine is gone it will relentlesly attack all targets within its guaranteed hit's effective range.

Seems like megumi surpassed Gojo with the recent fight in the manga if you know what I mean

20:00 his technique is basically plot armor lol. His technique didn’t kill him, but he ran outta plot armor to survive against sukuna 😭
Respect you talking about the conditions🙏 awareness is key right now and I hope for the best with the last 6 episodes
11:45 "ROAD ROLLER DAAA" my love for you just increased exponentially! This episode was a literal movie btw, insane. Love from italy bro
Magoraga is scary like bro can adapt to anything 😮
Vincent chansard is actually the one who animated the malevolent shrine scene
The animators deserve so much more, They bring us so much enjoyment with their godlike talents. I really want things to get better for them
This is the single best episode i have seen... It was beautiful... For me,,, rengoku vs akaza and tengen vs gyotaro was the epitome of best fights but now i think i have a new favourite... Sukuna vs mahoraga.... That was insane
Ngl they kinda fumbled the animation. I can hardly see whats going on, especially during the domain expansion.
@@JoeMama-sd2kl That’s the point 😂 It’s chaos. If you understand Sukunas abilities however, you know exactly what’s going on
Also a fact that the Csm staff was supposed to work in s2 but ofc they went there so imagine how good the animation would be if they had time.
It'll be a long time until Itadori cracks a smile again...
now we wait for itadori to get his two legendary scars
The fact that Sukuna took down a Shikigami that not a single person in history managed to really shows a lot about the king of curses strength.
Especially considering gojo mentioned and implied how mahoraga/Makora was summoned once in the past and killed both the ten shadows user at the time and the six eyes/limitless user.
Also having a domain that can into 200 meters is beyond broken. When most domains are just small areas incased in a shield
Also malevolent kitchen was a mistranslation it’s malevolent shrine
not exactly mistranslation could be also a hint on what the essence of sukuna technique really is , its related to eating/cooking, from what we seen so far and fire is also an important aspect of it
@@dariel299it’s a mistranslation there’s no relevancy in the manga with kitchen other than knives. The fire is a whole different technique that he uses separately from his main techniques
@@vaux_amnope,from what I saw with other people explanations it’s not mistranslation.
It just has 2 meanings so it can translate to both kitchen and shrine.

Yamata No Orochi is a folklore in Japan of an Eight headed Snake. I think Sukuna fought him off screen.Shoutout to the animators for this masterpiece
That part wit yuji at the end really gave me "tatakae" vibes
Episode 41 finished production hours before the premiere on Japanese television, the animators say that it is not even finished the way they would like.
In the instance where Gojo mentioned to Megumi that in the past there were two sorcerers who died fighting each others having the same curse techniques they now possess...
Their deaths are explained by summoning this Shikigami for sure....
The heredity technique is the whole Ten Shadow's technique
A hereditary technique is a technique that runs in the family, the Zenin have the Ten Shadows and Naobito’s frame technique. Like Gojo clan with the Six eyes and Limitless and Kamo clan with Piercing Blood.
Huge congrats to the animators
No spoilers this is just clarification for the Subtitles this episode.
Makora = Mahoraga the Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General
Malevolent Kitchen = Malevolent Shrine
Dissect = Dismantle
Fillet = Cleave
It seems like they just used the literal Japanese translations for this episode and not the official translations provided by the manga. But in episode 4 of Season 1 and chapter 8 of the Manga Sukuna's domain is called Malevolent Shrine not Malevolent Kitchen so that's definitely not supposed to be in the episode but Sukuna was definitely cooking this episode 🔥

nah it's malevolent kitchen, and sukuna cooked

I would've paid a premium price to watch this in the cinemas. This is right up there with Zoro vs King as my favorite fight episode of the year in anime. However, hearing what's happening behind the scenes is truly disheartening. I just gotta thank everyone involved with this season as far as the staff goes. The execs at MAPPA and the production committee should be ashamed of themselves for this hell on earth of their own making.
15:51 our boy vincent bringing that impact frame to jjk lol
I agree, long hiatus is better than we lose this awesome animators
I warned you Michael. This episode was beyond crazy and it was fire.
The whole point of why sukuna's domain is a divine technique is because it doesn't have barrier which is why is has such a huge massive radius. Gojo has a standard domain expansion so his range is nowhere even close to sukuna's range
"Sukuna is Gordon Ramsay at this point" hahahahahahahahahahaha xD
Awesome reaction Michael! Gojo is incapable of doing what Sukuna can do with his domain, as in manifesting it without a barrier to contain it in a separate space. That said, we don't know how large Gojo can make his barrier, but it's definitely not 200 meters like Sukuna's Shrine which can spread its sure-hit-effect much further as it isn't contained. Also, I hate to be that guy but.. It does get better.. and much sadder. We are entering the climax of the Shibuya Arc, hopefully the animators are given time to do it justice!
This episode was insaneee🔥🔥🔥
great points at the beginning and fun reaction as always
So some trivia about Sukuna that got revealed in bonus pages. (So bonus non spoiler stuff)
Sukuna was a cannibal and his two favorite things are fighting AND eating.
So his techniques being cooking related makes sense
I actually love the animation of this episode - it made it look so unique
Workers at mappa are like Zombie 100 protagonist in first episode 💀
The hereditary technique that Toji brought up is the ten shadows technique in general since Megumi was only a child
Those animators need a serious raise.
I don’t think Itadori willl ever be the same 😢
Nanami rocking that two face cosplay
Honestly a huge bow to all the animators who are working in mappa 🙏🏻
Yamata no Orochi is a monster that appears in Japanese mythology. It was a gigantic snake monster with eight heads and eight tails, and was slain by Susanoo, the younger brother of Amaterasu, the god of the sun, using a sword called Totsuka no Tsurugi.
A sword was found in the tail of the defeated Yamata no Orochi, and it was called the Kusanagi Sword.
Since you're familiar with anime, you'll probably get the hang of it.😊

Oh boy, the next episode is gonna be on thanksgiving
😬😬😬
It’s nice to see all the reactors bringing up this topic about the insane working conditions these poor animators are going through. Imo they have done such an excellent job with this season that it’s crazy it could’ve been even better if they had more time and better conditions. Sending my love and appreciation to these talented amazing people ❤
I think people need to put this into perspective, Mahagora is a shikigami with probably one of the most broken abilty in jujutsu Kaisen, to adapt to anything, any curse techniques, any hax etc
Mahagora was keeping up with FIFTEEN fingers sukuna, something that Dagon, Jogo, hanami etc can never do ... sukuna had to end it with a domain expansion which is a auto win since Mahagora doesn't have domain expansion but he can adapt to them which would have caused the King of curse to lose but he was lucky 🤯🤯
You perfectly clear I super appreciate the info much love and thanks so much😁🙏🏽
Wait so how did gojos domain stun everyone if it has a small range
@@Ayeato it is weird in that way because, on the inside it may appear incredibly large but the barrier from the outside has just a few meters diameter. Remember the condition as well as Mahito's domain, the stronger on the inside, the weakest on the outside. Also Gojo is broken af and can adjust the size of his domain lol. Maybe he traded time for range

Mappa animators built different for producing such great episodes every week in such short period of time and these hard conditions I too tought that they had already completed the episodes way before airing but it really sucks what's happening with the studio and I hope they will find a common ground❤
Actually that Shikigami name is "Mahoraga" in the manga idk why it was altered in the anime same as Sukuna's Domain expansion "Malevolent Shrine" in the manga but in the episode they changed "Shrine to Kitchen"
But Mahoraga is really powerful tbh bro had better feats imo in that fight than Jogo and when the rest of the manga gets animated u will see aswell
Also Micheal i meant to ask you this for while if u ever watched Black Clover and if may consider watching if u haven't yet
Yes I have watched it brother but I haven't finished the show yet or seen the movie I think I stopped at episode 120 something lol😂😂
@@MichaelAngeloMAN damn man i really hope u finish it when u have some time👍
The subjugation ceremony of Mahogoro can only be completed by megumi alone, and two people are ineffective, so meguimi still cannot control it😂
Mahoraga is written as Makora in Japanese. MIzushi in Fukuma Mizushi actually means a kitchen. Shrine also makes sense, but Kitchen isnt incorrect. Infact his technique dices and slices things, and cooks it with fire. In a malevolent way.
I really like your anime reactions belated HBD sir!
Dawg as soon as I head that many animators are involved with this episode INCLUDING Vincent Chansard, we all knew that this episodes animation was going to be GODLIKE
Like that scene when mahagora was walking through sukunas domain expansion and it was so fluid 🤯🤯🤯
Honestly I really feel bad for the mappa employers as they keep stating that they can do better than the result now (which is crazy 🤯) but honestly if they need to take a break for a week, a month or even a season then that's great for then as they deserve it 🙏🏽🙏🏽
For some reason, this episode was split 6 minutes to 18 minutes between the break card.
Edit: also if you see "Dissect" and "Fillet" the accepted translation, and the one Crunchyroll later changed to, is "Dismantle" and "Cleave" respectively.
First love your vids your a huge inspiration
Just know itadori is gonna have the most wild get back in all of shonen history
There are still some bangers left before the arc is over, but I suspect that this will be the most spectacular fight depicted. Others may hit harder based on the stakes and the emotion, but this in terms of scale and spectacle has to be at the top.
Megumi's doesn't have control of it coz sukuna inturupted in ritual as an outsider which was for haruta and megumi both survived until mahoraga was defeated so the ritual is over
sooo a little info of the black lines mid battle those were sukuna slices... you start seeing those at the same time Mahoraga start seeing and following, Sukuna slices are so fast that you only see a few frames and then everything is sliced and diced (Jogo and the start of this battle) but after a while you also see them
In the manga it says "shrine" and not kitchen but either way Sukuna's domain expansion is...divine
You can clearly see how strong maharoga is ,even then sakuna clapped him. Now the real question is how tf gojoo stand a chance
Fun fact:Yuji grandpa and jogo share the same voice actor
I think you did the perfect resume of the two sides of JJK:
- What the hell is going on?
-Pain, this is just pain.
(I wish this only applied to Shibuya incident but Gege just went even more unhinged after that. Not complaining, I'm still waiting for a new manga chapter every week, but... Actually complaining with all that freaking pain 😭)
Nanami? Looks like Two-face from the DC comics 🔥🔥🔥
the most apparent benefit of sukuna's domain is that it does not need to separate the space.
Remember in season1, said the outer side of the domain is rather weaker than the inside(to prevent people from escaping the domain). However sukuna's domain has no such problem . With 200m range, i think
Sukuna is able to break other's domain from the outside(in domain combat)
Hopefully the animators get the justice they deserve
I’m not the only one who thinks Nanami looks exactly like Guz from Breaking Bad 💀
Mahoraga is THE strongest Shikigami, definitely
Michael apparently this episode was only 30% of the animators vision.

Regardless, sukuna was on pure demon timing
The best fight so far I've seen 🔥🐐🗿
Also it does get better, WAYYYYY BETTER!
Someone in the JJK universe: "Hey do you want to go to Shibuya"
Me: "Shibuya! Shi- Shi- Shibuya hell nah! 😊"
nanami looks like he just got exploded by Walter White
TL;DR(every technique in JJK requires entire paragraphs to explain)
So for context, Mahoraga is Megumi's 10th and strongest Shikigami.
His current list of Shikigami goes like(no spoilers for unseen Shikigami):
1. Divine dog Black
2. Divine dog White (Dead -killed by finger bearer)
3. Nue
4. Toad
5. Great serpent/Orochi (Dead -killed by Sukuna)
6. Max elephant
7. Rabbit escape
8. Unseen
9. Unseen
10. Mahoraga
After a Shikigami dies, Megumi can no longer physically summon it, but he can permanently pass along its power to another Shikigami like how he gave Divine dog black the powers of its dead brother to create Divine Dog: Totality. But he can also temporarily fuse powers of two still alive Shikigami to create unique combinations like The Well's Unknown Abyss which combines Toad and Nue.
Hope this makes Megumi's abilities and Mahoraga a bit clearer IF you managed to read all of it😅
“How the hell did that plane come out of the sky?!” wise question 🤔
And that's a wrap on one of the best arcs in animanga. Shibuya Jiken everyone.
Sukuna really wreaked havoc. And now Itadori musty may the price for it in the next arc.
So Michael whan I watched your reaction I noticed something in the subtitles. When the narrator explaining sukuna power "fillet" and "Dissect" So please let me explain this
Sukuna has two types of slashing attacks the default slash,Dismantle and the other, Cleave, which can be adjusted depending on the target's toughness and cursed energy level to cut them down in one fell swoop
malevolent shrine differs from other types of domain expansion in that it doesn't create a separate space using a barrier.
