Biggest Porsche Issue

This seems to be the current biggest issue that Porsche seems to have lately with shrinking leather on the dash pad. Not sure If its from crappy leather treatment or neglect. But seems to be plaguing multiple product lines lately. I tried to repair it myself and failed. I will have to replace the dash now.
If anyone wants to try this themselves this is the glue that people are using.

That's why I spec the cheap plastic stuff for my dash. Living under the California sun is brutal to leather dashes.

Yea, I had seen some people say that is the way to go. I guess it was me being stupid and not having leather issues before in any of the Audi's I have had. Live and you learn sometimes.

That's got to be painful. I've got a 2010 Cayman S and the headliner decided to turn into a turban in 2016 when a hurricane went by in Florida. The barometric swing caused the adhesive and foam to delaminate overnight. The car is garage kept, so it isn't a case of baking in the sun all day. I installed an alligator material with no foam backing and used a under hood adhesive so it won't delaminate again. Guess you'll need to use a windshield protector and keep the leather moist since Porsche isn't working with you on it.

From what I have read and seen the best way to combat that is making sure to moisturize the leather often and protect from sunlight. you can't win all the time. It just stinks as this will be a good project.

Yep. However I have found some ways to clip costs where I can.
