thank you ,your video help me. I have a 2006 pathfinder. All other videos on here didn't explain well enough. You were right about the check engine light. In order for it to work, the check engine light has to flash differently once u hold the gas pedal. Everything has to be concise and if u don't see the check engine light flashing differently then you have to redo it over and over until u see it.. once again, for those who's trying to do this , look for the different check engine flash ... if u don't see it then u have to redo it... it's not going to work, This is simple and if u follow exactly how he shows , it will work... 👍 god bless
I just completed a tune up, valve cover replacement, engine bay cleaning, and a throttle body cleaning on my 2005 Frontier V6. It ran great, except I was getting this P0507 code and a high idle. I found this video through Google, and tried it. Worked 1st time. I very much appreciate you putting this out there!

After cleaning my 2005 Nissan Xterra, it idled to high. It took 5 or 6 tries and this worked. Keep trying if it does not work at first and make sure you have everything set correctly. Very valuable information. Thank you

I have had a p0507 light on my 6 speed manual 2007 Nissan Frontier for about 3 weeks after cleaning throttle body and air filter. I had attempted the idle relearn procedure like 30 times with no luck. Don’t know if it was a fluke but on the time it fixed it I accidentally kept the gas pedal fully depressed while starting it. I held it for a second or two and it wouldn’t start I released the gas pedal and it started and idled down to 600rpm. Don’t know if this was a fluke but it worked for me 🤷🏻♂️👍🤘🙏.
Hi Auto Resource. I just watched your video on how to restore the idle speed on a Nissan Frontier. It was of great help. Thank you. Perhaps you can help me with another problem I caused to my daughter’s truck, a Nissan Frontier 2003. I replaced the spark plugs but I forgot to disconnect the battery causing a problem to the automatic transmission. This is the problem: When in “DRIVE”, the truck takes off normally in first gear. Then when the transmission should shift to 2nd gear it goes to 2nd, 3rd and 4th in a very rapid sequence making a sleeping sound. What I have been doing to drive the truck is placing the selector lever in 2. Then the truck takes off in 1st gear and at the right time shifts to 2nd.(as it should do). After I reach the speed of 40 MPH I move the lever to "D" and the transmission will shift to 3rd and 4th quickly but because I already have an inicial decent speed of 40 MPH the problem is tolerable. I think the computer part for the transmission got messed up when I didn't disconnect the battery. Is there a procedure you can share with me on how to restore the automatic transmission to normal? I will appreciate very much your advise on this particular problem. Thank you.

I cleaned my throttle body today and after putting it back on the idle was around 2000rpms. After about a minute the rpms dropped back to normal on its own and no codes. I guess it taught itself.
Great video I have 2001 maxima I got p0505 Idle high at idle. I found air leak in intake hose from air box to throttle body. Got new hose and installed it cleared the code and it hasn’t come back. If something strange comes up again I think I will need to do this Throttle body was recently removed and reinstalled and intake gaskets replaced. Do you think this relearn procedure will help. My son normally drives that car and has stated that it gets a strange idle after a while say it’s in park and idles for like 5 minutes.
I have a question. So....what if your xterra revs up to about 1200 rpms when you first start it but it then goes to about 550 on it's own in like 4 minutes is this normal?
I had a stuck throttle and cleaned the throttle body. Turn the car on but the idle was 1100rpm. I did the relearn and now it floats up and down from 1200 to about 1600rpm. I am not sure what to do next. If anyone can help me please comment.
The procedure he spoke was correct. However his demonstration was visually incorrect. The “service engine soon” light did not flash as described. It remained solid and as a matter of fact his check engine light remained on after he started the vehicle. Do not use as a visual aid. Just listen to the video.
This does not work and everyone saying that it did work I don't buy it maybe it did for some of you if you installed a new throttle body after cleaning my throttle body and trying this it did not work over and over I took it to mechanic of mine who had a $10,000 scanner tool and he hit the idle relearn button it drops from 1000 RPM down to 550 and 600-word should have been so do not clean your throttle body unless you want to take it somewhere and have them do it with the right kind of scanner to Snap-on $5,000 won't work you need a Maximus $10,000 scanner now for some of those that it did work I couldn't be happier for you because there is nothing better in the world been watching those RPMs go down to where they should be but if you watch most of these videos they will say well it didn't work for me hopefully it works for you they are only going by what Nissan procedures are in that is only for certain installments or repairs I don't refer anyone to work on their own stuff on a Nissan it unless you don't know what you're doing because these Japanese they are smart as s*** and they made sure of that by complicating everything so I'm hoping everyone really looks into things before they start doing stuff

Just bought brand new 2019 Frontier and my idle is exactly where this is at. Between 500 and 750 so I would say it idles at 625.
Mine is the same low 600s, slight shutter at a red light at times, dealer says its normal

The check engine light on my 04 didn't stop flashing but beeped 3 times. Disappeared once I turned it off
