  • Headlight Restoration using Clear Coat. This video will show you how to clean and restore your headlights so they will never turn yellow or hazy again! Forget fads using baking soda or wd40 and the kits you buy in the store, they are temporary fixes and in no time the haze and oxidation will come back.
Using this method will get you through the haze and the application of UV stable clears will permanently keep those headlights nice and clear.

Interesting that the UV coating that is suppose to protect the light is the thing that fades. Interesting video will try it on my own car when I am less lazy on a weekend.

It does protect it. But remember the cars/lights are exposed to the sun a lot and we are usually talking 10 years or so. The clear the manufacturers use on the paint does not even last that long so perhaps they use a poor quality or very light coating.

@@FLIPMYRIDE Tell me about it. I am South Africa and head lights and clear coats do not do very well in the sun. What I have noticed on a Ford Mondeo I had was that the one headlight was replaced with aftermarket part and although the car was always parked outside the pirate light never faded. I got the car when it was 10 years old with the light in and the original already faded. I sold it 8 years later and the light still looked brand new.

LOL Ford! Actually all car manufacturers are bad. Got to increase the margins. When I go look at the cars at auction it is criminal really how poorly the cars were built and last.
